The next man to keep you up all night is the perfect male specimen delivered just in time for Valentine’s Day.

Mack Daddy

by Penelope Ward

From New York Times bestselling author, Penelope Ward, comes a sexy, STANDALONE second-chance romance.

They called him Mack Daddy. No, seriously, his name was Mack. Short for Mackenzie.

Thus, the nickname. Perfect, right?

So was he: perfect. The perfect physical male specimen.

At the private school where I taught, Mack Morrison was the only man around in a sea of women.

Everyone wanted a piece of the hot single father of the sweet little boy. I was riddled with jealousy, because they didn’t know that—to me—he was much more.

They didn’t know about our past.

He’d chosen my school for his son on purpose, because Mack and I, we had unfinished business.

As my friend Lorelai so eloquently put it: “Unfinished business between two people who are clearly attracted to each other is like an eternal case of blue balls.” And I was suffering in pain from my case.

I was still intensely attracted to Mack. I tried to resist him, immersing myself further into a relationship with another man just to protect my heart.

Not to mention, getting involved with a parent was strictly against school rules. But seeing Mack day in and day out was breaking me down.

And soon I might be breaking all the rules.

Author’s note – Told in alternating points of view, Mack Daddy is a full-length standalone novel.

The Hot One (One Love)

by Lauren Blakely

A new standalone romance from #1 New York Times Bestselling Author Lauren Blakely…

At first glance, stripping naked at my ex-girlfriend’s place of work might not seem like the brightest way to win her back.

I’m prepared to fight for her…and to fight hard. I might have let her slip through my fingers the last time, but no way will that happen twice.
He’s the one who got away…
The nerve of Tyler Nichols to reappear like that, stripping at my job, showing off his rock hard body that drove me wild far too many nights. That man with his knowing grin and mischievous eyes is nothing but a cocky, arrogant jerk to saunter back into my life. Except, what if he’s not a jerk . . .? He’s the one I’ve tried like hell to forget but just can’t. Maybe I’m cursed to remember him. Raw Emotional Read With All the Feels

Raw Deal; Larson Brothers (Series)
by Cherrie Lynn (Author)

This review is from: January 30, 2017 By Kay Daniels (ePub Edition)
Heat Level:🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Oh @CherrieLynn how I’ve missed your books.

Raw Deal is by far the best book written by Cherrie Lynn’s to date and I loved, loved, loved her Ross Siblings series.

The book begins at a funeral. Savannah Dugas is attending her brothers funeral to be exact. Her brother, Tommy, died during an MMA match fighting Mike “Larceny” Larson. It is during this opening scene that you see Savannah surrounded by family, her sister-in-law sobbing on one side and her mother on the other, but Savannah braving a face looks up and silently asks for a sign that everything will be alright. It is then that she sees what she thinks is a sign, a bald eagle, the symbol that was tattooed upon her brothers back, flying right above the memorial. Who else should appear right as she asked for a sign? Mike Larson, the killer himself.

Mike was beside himself from the beginning of the story. Remorseful and respectful of the Dugas family. The instant attraction he felt for Savannah hit him hard, but he never pushed her knowing he was the man who put her brother in the ground. With his own guts in turmoil he wrestled with the thoughts of retiring. Especially once he got to know Savannah. Life was short and she made it worth living, but he’s not entirely sure he can keep his demons at bay. Savannah cannot witness another man she cares about entering the cage, but it is who he is.

Both characters struggle with grief over the same man. They also help each other heal which was a mind f**k to watch as you witness the emotional turmoil for both of them. Cherrie Lynn wove a beautiful tale from all the perspectives that dealt with the loss and the ups and downs of the aftermath.

“The only anchor she had in the maelstrom of emotions was the hand that might very well have ended Tommy’s life.”

Raw Deal is an emotional, gut wretching, can’t tear your eyes from the pages, rollercoaster emotional, all sorts of feels kind of read.

Bad Boys With Hearts of Gold

Billionaire Bad Boys (Anthology)
by Kira Blakely (Author)

This review is from: January 29, 2017 By Kay Daniels (ePub Edition)
Heat Level:🔥🔥🔥

The Billionaire Bad Boys contains three individual stories that intertwines at various stages, but overall are three stand alone books within one novel.

The book begins with Dawson and Alexia. He is a man turned rags to riches, but he is done with the false life that has built up around him. He’s looking for something real, if such a thing even exists anymore. Alexia recently moved from a small town and needs a job, Dawson’s company is hiring. Perfect. Once the two meet there is instant attraction, yet Alexia’s home values keep her from jumping right into the sack with with the powerful billionaire. Right there is Dawson’s moth to flame draw.

The second story is about Ashton and Laura. Both are friends of Dawson and Alexia. Ashton also came from humble beginnings and Laura even though she came from the same small town as Alexia isn’t exactly the same nieve girl that Lexia is. Ashton and Laura’s chemistry is different than the previous couple. Can Ashton believe Laura? You should enjoy their story especially right after finishing Dawson and Alexia’s book.

The third part of the book finishes with Jackson and Hope. Jackson is a longtime friend of Ashton’s. Another man who began with humble beginnings and made himself into something better than his past. Hope moves into the apartment across from Laura and Alexia, so the three women also form a bond that the men already have. Jackson takes an interest in Hope’s work which shows his big heart, transforming this billionaire from bad boy to sweet lover.

All three men feel they are too jaded to ever find something real given their upbringings. It’s a lovely story that shows there is hope for everyone.

Amazon US:
Amazon UK:
#FREE with #KindleUnlimited!!

A sweet little blurb about this new release:
Love can be as sweet as honey, or it can sting like a bee.

Bo Smith knows that if you go looking for honey, you get stung, so he has his life just how he wants it. No hassles, no complications, and no heartache. As the handsome high school athletics coach, he would be the pick of the small town he grew up in…if he was into commitment, or dating…or even calling back. But he has sworn off anything resembling a future and his mind isn’t going to change.

Then his eyes lock on the new girl in town…She’s beautiful, intelligent, and full of surprises. Just the kind of complication he has been avoiding.

Sophia Brown is looking for the sweet simple life. She has it all planned out. Getting used to life alone isn’t easy, but she has her garden, her bees, and her dog Triton to tend to. It’s the fresh start she’s been dreaming of, surrounded by nothing but open fields to stare at all day.

Nothing at all…unless you count the high school football team and their distractingly handsome coach, practicing right across the street.

But when sparks fly, Bo must choose between the sting of his past or the sweetness of the future.

He may just find that honey tastes good on everything.

So, So, So Satisfied with Lawlessness

Satisfaction; A Lawless Novel (Series)
by Lexi Blake (Author)

This review is from: January 22, 2017 By Kay Daniels (ePub Edition-Goodreads)
Heat Level:🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Brandon Lawless is a sweet, but rabid puppy-at least that is how Ian Taggert describes him. It isn’t exactly what Carly wants to hear, but tactful as always Ian lays it all out there. I adore Ian’s cameo moments as much as I adore each book Lexi Blake writes, but Carly, the heroine, isn’t thrilled with the image she is left with. Flawed, filled with anger, but giving without any thought to himself, this is the man that makes up Brandon Lawless.

Brandon, or Bran as he prefers to be called, never felt he fit in anywhere. He is the youngest Lawless sibling and after his parents were killed he is also the child that spent the most time in the foster system. Once he was reunited with his brothers and sister, he dutifully did what they told him to do, but the feeling of rightness in his world, still was never there. Why? He wasn’t quite sure. He knew he should want revenge like his brothers, but deep down he also knew he was different.

Then he met Carly.

She changed everything. She made him feel lighter. She made him feel…well perhaps that was it, she made him feel.

Carly worked for the devil, the latest target on the Lawless list of revenge, and he’d vowed to bring justice to his family by bringing the devil down. They join forces and Bran quickly realizes that Carly is on his side. As things progress he knows that a future with her is more important than fulfilling a revengeful past. He will walk away from it all praying she will leave with him. It’s a risk, but one he’s willing to take.

These two are a perfect blend of filling wants and needs. Carly needs to feel useful in her world. She has been taken advantage of and stepped on for way too long. Bran needs someone to give him stability in his life and fill his heart with love. They are a perfect pair of give and take and I throughly enjoyed this book from beginning to end.

A Sweet Story

Honey Bee (Standalone Contemporary Romance)
by Heather Shere (Author)

This review is from: January 11, 2017 By Kay Daniels (Kindle Edition-Goodreads)

Heat Level:🔥🔥🔥

Bo Smith didn’t do relationships, he didn’t do dates, and he certainly didn’t fall for women who owned pets. Anything that remotely came close to an attachment and he left. So how did the new girl in town continually keep drawing him back? Bo was the first to admit that Sophia wasn’t like other women, but her dog, Triton, was a huge problem. In more ways than one.

Sophia Brown moved into the small town where her mother had grown up. She hoping for a connection after the recent loss of her mother. However, the connection she thought she’d find wasn’t what she found. The hot high school coach, Bo, who just so happened to have practice practically in her back yard everyday, also happened to be available at all the right moments. Besides, Triton really liked Bo, even though Bo didn’t seem to share the sentiment. What was she going to do? She’d never give up her beloved dog, she had to find a way into Bo’s stubborn heart.

Could two very different people make a new start? Sophia would never give up the love of her dog and Bo wasn’t the type of man to share. The future doesn’t look bright for these sweet lovers even though they are the buzz of the town.

Honey Bee is a sweet hometown romance. Heather Shere wove a lovers tale during a time after her own loss and what a cathartic remedy to weave such a sweetened tale. If only we could all take our pain and turn it into sweet honey what a better world we would live in.

Honey Bee will be live January 23rd. Look for it at your favorite eBook retailer.

Worth the First Review in 2017

Worth the Fight; MMA Fighter #1(Series)
by Vi Keeland (Author)

This review is from: January 5, 2017 By Kay Daniels (ePub Edition)
Heat Level:🔥🔥🔥🔥

Elle had a steady job, a steady man and things were….steady. However, she felt something was missing. It might have been thrills or perhaps that little something called “living”, but she was okay with that, or so she thought. Until Nico Hunter walked into her life and suddenly life actually seemed worth living. That man consumed her thoughts and who knew, Nico broke her habit of being consistently late for perhaps the first time ever. Was it the excitement? Was it the thrill of something new? Was it fate? Elle wasn’t sure, but she felt alive for the first time in her life and she never wanted that feeling to end.

Nico felt the shift in his life the moment he laid eyes on Elle James. A little over a year ago his life took a major change. He was the current champion in the MMA fighting ring, but his last fight took a very wrong turn. One wrong punch and he went from Nico “The Lady Killer” Hunter to just Nico “The Killer” Hunter. Nightmares still haunted him and he hadn’t entered back into the cage since, but after meeting Elle not only did he feel a spark with her, he felt a spark to live and fight again. She may be his undoing or his salvation.

I loved the story dynamic between Nico and Elle. Two lost souls who found their weaknesses and strengths within each other and fit like two halves who made each other whole. I don’t know a lot about the MMA world, but I didn’t need to to love Nico and the world he lived in. Vi Keeland is a dynamic writer that draws you in with such ease I love reading her stories. I loved this story so much I plan to read the others in the series.

This was the first in the MMA Fighter series, but still a stand alone novel. The next one takes place years after this one and follows a student of Nico’s. Worth the Fight is a an older book, but still a fantastic read if you haven’t picked it up yet.
