Released This April
In case you missed any of the fabulous releases this past month I’d like to take a moment do a quick recap of some of, not only my favorite books, but also top sellers that were published this past month.
Contained on this list will be books that I’ve read and books on my TBR lists. I swear my TBR pile gets bigger every day with so many delicious authors and books hitting the market, yet I promise I will never to steer you wrong when it comes to cozying up with a good book.
So, without further ado…I’m beginning with one of my favorite reads from this past month. A sexy, heartfelt jock who is looking for love, unfortunately he falls in love with a woman who is in the business of ending relationships.
Ditched; A Sports Romance
Dating can be a rocky journey. Once the new shine wears off, you may end up with a case of buyer’s remorse.
That’s where I come in. I set the backdrop and coach you through the breakup.
Don’t want overblown drama, hard feelings, or a drink tossed in your face? Then I’m your fairy godmother, child.
As an NFL quarterback, endorsement ads and the media pandering after me are all part of the game.
Ivy Hayes is the first woman who doesn’t care about my money and the notoriety that goes along with it.
But I’m a long-term guy, and she operates strictly in the now. Which means I need to bring my A-game.
Otherwise, I’ll end up getting ditched.
**Ditched is a sports romance/contemporary romance with a bit of a twist. It is a standalone, full-length novel.**
This next title is the second in the Summerhaven series and boy was it good. Okay, let me start again, the first was good, the second was amazing, and I believe the third, which is set to release in June will be explosive. Katy Regnery has a magnetic pull with her series. They draw you in and keep you enraptured.
Smiling Irish; The Summerhaven Trio #2
Tierney Haven and Burr O’Leary come from completely different worlds…
…but there’s a reason they say “opposites attract.”
Bookish Tierney Haven has always preferred places to people, and she especially loves the peace and quiet of Moonstone Manor, an estate museum located in the White Mountains of New Hampshire, where she is head docent, chief historian and live-in caretaker. The very last thing she expects to find on the doorstep at midnight is bruised and bloodied stranger, Burr O’Leary, in desperate need of her help.
Against her better judgement and at the risk of her brothers’ wrath, Tierney offers Burr sanctuary at Moonstone Manor, and nurses him back to health, surprised to discover that the dashing, enigmatic stranger loves the history and peace of Moonstone as much as she. But Burr has a dark history, and those who hurt him will stop at nothing to eliminate him…placing Tierney in grave danger until he is well enough to find them first.
Geeky hero, smart heroine, and a masquerade ball where anything goes. This story is one to fall in love with.
Come As You Are
For one fantastic evening, at a masquerade party in the heart of Manhattan, I’m not the millionaire everyone wants a piece of. Fine—multimillionaire. But who’s counting all those commas? Not me, and not the most intriguing woman I’ve ever met, who happens to like dancing, witty banter, and hot, passionate up-against-the-wall sex as much as I do.
There’s no need for names or business cards. And that’s why I’m eager to get to know her more, since my mystery woman seems to like me for me, rather than for my huge…bank account.
Everything’s coming up aces. Until the next day when things get a little complicated. (Newsflash — a lot complicated.)
He’s charming, brilliant, an incredible lover, and right now I want to stab fate in the eyeballs.
I’ve had one goal I’ve been working toward, and lo and behold, my mystery man is the very person who stands between me and my dream job. A job I desperately need since my hard-knock life has nothing in common with his star-kissed one.
But it’s time to put that fairytale night behind me, and focus on learning what makes him tick. Too bad it turns out his quirks are my quirks, and his love affair with New York matches mine.
And as we spend our days together, I discover something else that feels like a cruel twist of fate — I’m falling for this naughty prince charming, and that’s not an ending I can write to our story.
Part of a series, the Royals Undercover set fire to April releasing two books in one month, one at the beginning of the month and the other right at the end. Let’s hear it for a Cheeky Royal King.
Cheeky Royal and Cheeky King; Royals Undercover
All they want is everything they can’t have.
Yes, yes, I’ve heard the rumors.
The prince is royal, and cocky and has a—well never mind about all that.
The problem is, he’s also my job.
When the King called on me to retrieve the wayward prince, I was ready to walk away.
Then I caught my boyfriend cheating—and suddenly leaving never felt like a better idea.
I never wanted the throne.
When I left behind my gilded cage of a palace, it all sounded so simple: find my long-lost brother & make him the prince so I don’t have to rule the kingdom like my father expects.
Then I meet my new neighbor, and quickly realize I’ve found the queen of my heart—and bed.
Just one problem, I can’t let her find out who I really am.
What good is a King without his Queen?
I never wanted the crown, but now it’s mine.
Instead of my freedom–instead of her.
But even though she’s not mine to keep, I can’t seem to stay away.
The moment he became king, I knew we were over.
Now I’ve returned home some kind of conquering hero.
If only they all knew that we’d both lost our hearts.
If only I could stay out of the royal bed.
What good is being cocky if you can’t get what you want?
This book has not received enough attention. For a new adult read it touched on every emotion and dug out feelings on top of feelings. Written as a duet, it ended on a huge cliffhanger, which can leave readers a tad wanting and waiting for the second part to be released until they even pickup the first part, but…there is light at the end of the tunnel. The second half of the duet is due to be released this summer, so what are you waiting for…it is so good.
The Theory of Unrequited; The Science of Unrequited #1

I gave you an excellent choice with a geek hero above, this next read has the perfect geek heroine. Not only that, the hero is affectionate and also built like Adonis. For all the fans of Princess Bride, Star Wars, or other additional fandoms this book will make you smile. So I dare you to read it.

Wall Street Journal bestselling author Ilsa Madden-Mills kicks off a brand-new, sexy, heartfelt contemporary romance series with I DARE YOU!

I love reading tough men who are mushy-gushy about their women. This next pick has six to choose from. It also has another tie in to one of my favorite authors. Lexi Blake loaned out her world to five wonderful authors. You have an opportunity to read, perhaps, a favorite author of your own while they dabble in Lexi’s world. I’m so excited for these books and what each author has to bring.
