An adorable friends to lovers romcom. Erin’s sarcastic humor is LOL funny and Reese is so adorable they are a couple to root for.

Erin Carter is sarcastic to the core, a doesn’t-believe-in-love ice queen (or so she believes). Determined that she will never find the right man (since love doesn’t exist anyway) she gave up on the notion of ever getting married, but begins to worry when her 30th birthday rounds the corner and the pact she made as a child with her best friend, Reese, springs to mind. If neither one of them were married by their 30th birthday then they were to marry each other.  It might not have worried her too much if he wasn’t single, didn’t happen to be moving back to the hometown where she was currently living, and just recently emailed her asking to meet. There was no way he would make good on that pinky sweat would he?

Reese Collins loved his job as a NICU nurse. No he isn’t gay. That was usually the first question people asked when he began a new job. Moving back home to begin work at one of the top hospitals in the NICU field was a dream of Reese’s and the fact that it was happening right before his 30th birthday was just a mere coincidence. There was hardly a day that went by that he didn’t talk or text his best friend, Erin, and he wouldn’t lie and say that the thought of marrying her wasn’t something he’d always thought about since they’d made their pact as kids. Why had he never made a move on her until now? Well, their timing just was never right so he kept his feelings to himself because having Erin in his life was better than not, but it’s now or never. It’s finally time to collect.

When Reese pushes for them to move their friendship beyond the friend zone, both of them are amazed and scared at what could happen once they cross that border. How do you date a person you already know everything about and how do you go back to being friends if things don’t work out?
