From the moment Hunter Richards first saw Bailey Jones he understood the meaning of love at first sight. From her infectious laughter down to her curvaceous backside, Bailey was everything he ever wanted, too bad she was also the new intern at his current job. A strict no fraternization policy went into effect recently which meant he wouldn’t be getting to know Bailey as any more than friends unless he wanted to jeopardize both of their jobs.
One year later and Hunter is Bailey’s go to person, her BFF, the one person she goes to for everything. She honestly admits to herself that she doesn’t know what she’d do without him in her life, she also secretly fantasizes about him too, but that part she keeps strictly to herself. Everyday matters, well she is more than willing to tell Hunter that he is her best friend, but when Hunter finally says he wants more Bailey isn’t sure she is ready to step over the line and move their relationship further risking what they have, along with their jobs.
One eventful evening pushes them both to the tipping point. Standing upon the edge of their friendship are they able to take the plunge or will they look back and wonder if it was all a mistake?
Wicked is a fun contemporary read without a ton of drama. There were hints to their other series (which I admit I have not read, but are waiting in my TBR pile), however if you are like me and haven’t read them yet, you won’t need to to follow along. It does make me intrigued enough to push them up on my reading list. Well played ladies…well played.
