L.B. Dunbar loves the sweeter things in life: cookies, Coca-Cola, and romance. Her reading journey began with a deep love of fairy tales, medieval knights, Regency debauchery, and alpha males. She loves a deep belly laugh and a strong hug. Occasionally, she has the energy of a Jack Russell terrier. Accused—yes, that’s the correct word—of having an overactive imagination, to her benefit, such an imagination works well. Author of over two dozen novels, she’s created sweet, small town worlds; rock star mayhem; MMA chaos; sexy rom-coms for the over 40; and intrigue on an island of redemption. In addition, she is earning a title as the “myth and legend lady” for her modernizations of mythology as elda lore. Her other duties in life include mother to four children and wife to the one and only.

“Christian, you’re a fucking idiot,” I murmured to myself as I sat in my car behind a classic stone church. I had graduated from being attracted to trouble to picking it up in a church parking lot.
Then she came flying out of the back door of the church, her skirt bundled up in her arms, exposing her legs from the knees down, a veil flowing behind her. She ran in heels like the devil himself was after her, and hell, maybe he was.
I had been shocked that she had texted me, and even more shocked still to find myself offering to pick her up. But Bella had gotten under my skin. Maybe it was seeing her holding my son so sweetly. Maybe it was her humble admission that she wasn’t good in bed. Or more likely it was the fact that she had come to my mom’s still planning to marry an extreme douchebag and had now seen the goddamn light. I didn’t want her to change her mind and lock herself into a life with such a miserable guy.
Am I known for being Mr. Monogamous? No. But I wouldn’t put it off on my girlfriend if I cheated. It would be my fault and I would take responsibility, not make excuses. And hell, I never cheated on a woman I was involved with, because I was never involved. I just helped women cheat.
Yep. Fucking saint sitting at church, that was me.
I started to get out to open the door for her but she called out, winded and hysterical, “Get in and drive!” She yanked open the passenger door, tossed a bag over the seat to the back, and scrambled to get inside.
I slid back behind the wheel and glanced around to see if anyone was coming out after her. “You in?”
There hadn’t been a door slam. She was grappling to get it closed, but finally I heard the click. Her head turned toward me. “Okay, I’m good.”
I hit the locks just in case the door wasn’t completely closed. I would fucking flip out if she spilled onto the road in a wedding dress. “Where are we going?” I asked her.
“Anywhere.” She pushed the veil back off her face with trembling fingers. “Somewhere where no one can see me or find me.”
“I know a place.” We had a piece of property that had belonged to my mother’s father that had been used back in the day for fishing and hunting. There was a dilapidated shack on it and an old railroad caboose my grandfather had thought was cool.
I was driving but I couldn’t stop myself from looking at Bella. She was engulfed in all the trappings of a bride. There was white fabric everywhere, and her hair was curled in long waves. She had on extra makeup and thick, dark eyelashes, and her cleavage was popping. “You look beautiful,” I said, even though it was probably the last thing she wanted to hear. But she did.
She was stunning. Breathtaking. Mouthwatering. Even her anxious breathing just set her cleavage heaving, turning me on. I wanted to yank that bodice down and suck her nipples. Lift her skirt and dive on under there with fingers, mouth, my hard cock. I wanted to yank that tiara veil thing off her head and bury my hands in her hair, tugging her head backward, forcing her to look at me.
I also wanted to hold her naked in my arms and reassure her that she was enough. Sexy. Satisfying.
Maybe I was actually going to have a chance to do all of that.

Title: The Cowboy Meets His Match
Series: The 79th Copper Mountain Rodeo #1
Author: Sarah Mayberry
Publisher: Tule Publishing
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: August 21, 2018
He plays by the rules, she’s not afraid to break them. Now these two strong-willed army captains will prove that opposites attract . . .
All Cassidy Jane Cooper wants is to fulfill her dream to compete in pro rodeo. CJ knows she’s going to have to work harder and smarter than everyone else to prove herself in the traditionally all-male saddle bronc competition. That means she shouldn’t look twice at handsome, charming cowboy, Jesse Carmody. She needs to focus on the competition, not one of her competitors. If only he wasn’t so damn hot…
Jesse Carmody thinks he’s seen it all–until CJ’s arrival throws him for a loop. She’s tough, sexy, and challenging. Jesse quickly realizes he wants to know a whole lot more about this intriguing woman. When CJ faces ugly opposition from others on the circuit, Jesse is there to offer a friendly hand–and more, if she wants it.
Between her trials in the arena and fighting to get the other riders to respect her, CJ knows getting involved with Jesse is the last thing she should do. But she can’t seem to keep away. Which leaves her with a choice–the man of her heart, or the career of her dreams? Or can she have them both?

Together they moved onto the dance floor, quickly finding a few square feet to call their own. Jesse started shuffling his feet from side to side, hoping his hands weren’t doing anything too dumb. CJ lifted her hands in the air, her hips moving sinuously.
“I actually really love this song,” she shouted over the music.
She certainly knew how to move to it. Meanwhile, he felt like someone had swapped his own feet for two tree stumps as he clomped back and forth.
And he had only himself to blame for letting Sierra drag him into this.
Like an answer to a prayer, the song ended, and he scanned the room, looking for his sister. How long did it take for a woman to go to the bathroom, anyway? There was no sign of her, however, and the next song started up almost immediately. From the opening bars it was clear it was going to be a ballad, and everyone around them either stepped closer to slow dance or abandoned the floor altogether.
CJ paused, a question in her eyes, and he figured he’d be a fool if he gave up the opportunity to hold her, even if it was in public. He’d probably never get the chance again.
He gestured for her to step closer, and after a heartbeat she did so, her left hand sliding into his right, the other coming to rest on his bicep just below his shoulder. He positioned his hand high on her back, then led her into the simple two-step his mother had drummed into him before his high school prom so many years ago.
CJ went with him easily, effortlessly, and he bit back a smile.
“What’s so funny?” she asked.
“Don’t take this the wrong way, but I was half expecting you to want to lead.”
“Careful, or you won’t escape this dance floor with your toes intact,” she warned him.
“I should probably warn you, Carmodys don’t scare easily.”
“And I should probably warn you, Coopers are complete animals when we’re bent on revenge.”
“Yeah? What kind of animal?” he asked, not bothering to hide his smile now.
“The kind that eats Carmodys for breakfast.”
“I seem to remember enjoying that, to be honest,” he said.
CJ’s head tilted back as she let out a loud, earthy laugh at his shameless flirting.
Which was when he registered they’d drawn close enough to be almost hip to hip, with barely an inch between her chest and his.
Close enough that if he lowered his head, their mouths would meet.
He could feel himself getting hard just thinking about it.
CJ seemed to realize what they’d unconsciously done at the same time he did and the smile slipped from her lips. For a long moment they simply danced, the electric promise of mutual awareness crackling between them, their gazes and bodies locked together.
The need to kiss her, taste her, get closer to her was like a drumbeat in his chest and groin, but he wasn’t so far gone he’d forgotten where they were—on the dance floor in one of Marietta’s most popular venues.
So even though it killed him, he eased a couple of inches away. Enough to make them look like friends enjoying a dance instead of lovers indulging in publicly acceptable foreplay.
CJ’s hand tightened around his, almost as though she was protesting the move, and he saw a flicker of something that looked a lot like disappointment in her eyes before she dropped her gaze to the collar of his shirt.
“Thank you,” she said, her voice subdued.

Needing a few seconds to prepare, I closed my eyes the moment I knew he was about to turn on the camera.
I don’t know why I was so afraid to see him. Maybe I was worried his looks would somehow change the way I viewed him. I hated that I’d even had that thought. I didn’t want to be unattracted to him physically because I was so very drawn to him in every other way. Shouldn’t those be the ways that mattered? I was scared I would somehow feel differently about him, and he deserved better than to be judged on his physical appearance.
“You can open your eyes,” he said.
My heart felt like it was pounding out of my chest.
One, two, three…
When I saw him right in front of me, my mouth fell open.
Big, glowing eyes. Perfect nose. Stubbled, angular jaw. Full lips. Strong arms. I just kept blinking because I couldn’t believe my eyes. He looked like a model or a movie star. A rush of insecurity hit me.
Is this a joke?
No, it wasn’t.
It was really him.
Oh my God.
The lust consuming me made me feel almost guilty. But I was so damn relieved that he was truly as beautiful on the outside as I believed him to be on the inside. He was almost too beautiful, if there were such a thing.
He looked nothing like the vague image I’d formed in my head, which was sort of like a silhouette without a clear face but with a brown beard, kind of like a hipster. Not sure why I’d pictured him like that. It was kind of funny how off base I was. This was not what I’d been expecting. Because how could someone so thoughtful, attentive, creative, and considerate be so strikingly handsome that he made me speechless? And it was clear now that his sexy voice absolutely fit him.
“You’re…” I hesitated.
“Oh shit.” He laughed. “What are you thinking?”
“No. No, no, no. Nothing bad at all. I just don’t even know how to articulate it. You’re…beautiful, Ryder. Absolutely beautiful.”
He let out a breath. “And you’re…handsome, Eden. Very handsome.” His impish grin was so sexy.
I chuckled. “I know beautiful is an odd term for a man, but you are. All this time you’ve been hiding from me when you’re drop-dead gorgeous. Why?”
“You really did think I was ashamed of my looks, huh?”
“Well, I’d be lying if I said that didn’t cross my mind. I wondered if there was something you were self-conscious about. That always made me a little sad. But it never mattered to me, because I’ve been connecting with you on a deeper level.”
“I think that’s exactly why I didn’t want to change things,” he said. “Why fix something if it ain’t broken?” When I fell silent, he asked, “What are you thinking?”
A nervous energy overtook me. “Nothing. I’m…still just taking you in.”
“Okay. Let me know when you’re done so I can stop sucking in my abs.”
From New York Times bestselling author Penelope Ward, comes a new, sexy STANDALONE novel.
We met in the least likely of places. It started out innocently enough. I was “ScreenGod” and she was “Montana,” but of course, those weren’t our actual names, just the virtual cloaks we hid behind.
Logging in at night and talking to her was my escape—my sanctuary.
Her real name was Eden, I’d soon come to find out.
From the first time we connected online, I found myself transfixed.
She was an addiction.
At first, we knew nothing about each other’s real identities…and she was adamant that we keep things that way. Anonymity had no effect on our unstoppable chemistry, though. If anything, it allowed us to open up even more in ways we may not have otherwise.
Eden was funny, intelligent, gorgeous—everything I’d ever wanted in a woman.
But I couldn’t really have her.
I had accepted things would have to stay the way they were—until the day I found a clue that led me straight to her.
So I took a chance.
And that was when our love story really began.
