I have a copy of 44 Chapters About 4 Men sitting in my TBR pile, sadly I haven’t had a chance to read it yet. However, I have now read Suit, which is a longer series project of the aforementioned book, and I can tell you that I wasn’t able to put it down. It was filled with comedy, heartfelt emotion, and a gripping tale.

BB Easton gave each of her teenage/young adult boyfriends a book, stemming from the bestselling, award-winning memoir. Suit is the final book in that series. It is also the final boyfriend that BB has in her life. Ken Easton is like no other boyfriend BB has had before. BB has always been drawn to the badboy, the wrong boy, the boy who has no plans of settling down, having a future or even being nice to BB.

Ken Easton is the opposite of all of those boys in most of those areas, except he doesn’t believe in marriage, he doesn’t believe in having children, he doesn’t believe in forever. At least he’s upfront about what he does and doesn’t believe in unlike BB’s former boyfriends, so that’s a positive if there is one. It also makes BB dig her heels in and want to change Ken’s views. He seems to like her and wants to spend time with her, so perhaps he just needs his views to be swayed? If only she could read his emotions, if he had emotions.

The more Ken locked away his emotions, or didn’t seem to own emotions, the more BB was determined to unravel the mystery of Ken. BB had finally found the one thing she loved more than bad boys…a good looking challenge dressed in a tie.

BB goes through the gamut trying to solve the puzzle that is Ken Easton. He is generous, but cheap. He is nice, but withdrawn. He is a gentleman, but emotionally detached. Ken is an enigma that makes BB crazy. Why won’t he hold her when she’s sad? Why won’t he buy her useless crap? What is his infatuation with Hugh Grant movies? Why can’t she let Ken go and just move on to her usual bad boy?

Once you read this book, Suit, or if you’ve read the rom-com/memoir, 44 Chapters About 4 Men, you will come to know how infuriatingly stubborn and standoffish Ken, can be. BB pulled some serious strings, did some impressive groveling and guilt tripping, and everyone now gets a little piece of Ken. His chin, at least!

This piece of Ken and knowing the guilt trip that BB put him through will make a million times more sense once you read Suit and I love it a million times more after reading the book.  Thank you BB and Ken for sharing your beautiful story. I loved it!!

*SUIT is that last book in the 44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN series, but it can be read as a complete standalone.
