Full of twists and unexpected turns , Butt Ending was a forbidden love story full of loss and hot jocks.

Oliver Russell friend-zoned Sloane Carmichael. First, because she was his twin sister’s best friend and second, because he just didn’t do relationships. Having lost both of his parents at a young age, he was determined to live his life carefree and unattached. He didn’t want to leave anyone behind, mourning him, in the off chance something happened to him.

What he didn’t count on was Sloane Carmichael. The tiny woman who consumes his thoughts and makes him crazy.

Sloane had a major crush on Oliver Russell. Actually lots of women did, considering he played for the NHL, but unlike the rest of the female population, she personally knew Oli. Take that!! No one said her crush was rational. Oliver was her best friends twin brother and she’d had it for near a decade, it didn’t mean she didn’t turn into a horny mess around him, but still she never acted on it. Or perhaps Oliver just ignored her, but whatever. He was unattainable and that made him even sexier, somehow.

After a road trip, stuck in a car with Oliver, things take a turn. Suddenly Oliver seems to take notice but Sloane is looking for more than a one-night stand and Oliver isn’t known for more than just a hookup. Monogamy and Oliver don’t exactly go together, but Sloane isn’t going to give up on her future just because he won’t change.

Asking to be friends, Oliver can’t seem to stay away. Unable to stay away from each other they grow closer, until the attraction they’ve been feeling bursts at the seams and they can no longer stay away from each other. Unfortunately, the dark clouds of their past come rolling in and until they face them neither will be able to have the future they want. Whether that is alone or together.

In this story of loss and love, both Sloane and Oliver have issues to work out, demons to escape, and neither can face a future until they figure out their past.

I loved this story packed full of family and friends. Even though this is the second book in the series, I did not read the first book. Butt Ending can be read as a complete standalone.

Entice Me was delightful! Kelly Elliott put me right in the center of a lovely group of close knit friends and family that I never wanted to leave.

This is the first book I’ve read by Kelly Elliott, yet I felt as if I’d known everyone for years by the time I was done reading Entice Me. Yes, the story is centered around two main characters, but their lives are interwoven around their friends and family, which may have their own books, but since I’ve just discovered Kelly Elliott, I will be diving back into her list of written works to find out.

Nash is a man scorned by love. His longtime girlfriend cheated on him, got pregnant, and then left him because he didn’t make enough money. Yeah, that is a lot to bring a man down on dating. Even months later he still felt kicked in the gut whenever he saw her, even though he knew deep down she wasn’t the right woman for him.

When he meets Kaelynn something inside Nash shifts, she’s the first woman since he’s been single that actually makes him smile. The first woman to make him feel, really..anything. That in itself is probably what scares him the most. He isn’t ready to get his heart broken again, especially when Kaelynn seemed to be hiding something.

Kaelynn has a secret, one that could destroy the relationships she’s just beginning to build. Morgan is Nash’s sister and the reason she’s just moved to Austin, starting up a new job with Morgan. Kaelynn doesn’t like to talk about her family, not that they are bad, but because they are wealthy. Extremely wealthy. In her history, people tended to treat her different once they find out she comes from money.  So, Kaelynn doesn’t exactly feel that she is lying, as much as omitting that she is wealthy.

Once Kaelynn learns about Nash and his ex, the amount in her bank account becomes an elephant in the room. The longer she waits, the more the issue weighs on her, but she’s also afraid to lose the connection she’s building with Nash and his friends. What choice makes the most sense when she knows she has to eventually make one, come clean and lose the man she’s beginning to care about, or live a lie?

Nash and Kaelynn have amazing chemistry from the beginning. Nash may have his hangups about dating, but he also wants what his friends have; family and a forever love. He is super swoon-worthy, a delicious book boyfriend. Kaelynn constantly comments that his ex was an idiot for giving him up, yet she’s very happy she did. The two of them are very cute.

The world Kelly Elliott has built is sweet and inviting and I can’t wait to revisit them.

We were nearly there when I noticed the Lt. Colonel staggering toward us from the elevator on the opposite side of the hallway. I thought fast on my feet and did the only thing I could do—and quite frankly the only thing I’d wanted to do since I saw Skyla in her hotel room. I grabbed her face and kissed her with such intensity it took my breath away.
Pulling her closer to me, I deepened the kiss; flicking my tongue over hers, a low groan escaped my lips. Up to this moment, I hadn’t realized just how much I’d missed her lips on mine, craved the taste of her. In that moment, I realized how it must feel for an addict when he gets his fix. Her hands curled into my hair and as I looked into her face, I was shocked at what I saw there. She wanted me, I could see it in her eyes, feel it in the hands that were roaming my back. She was so close to me that I could feel her heart racing beneath the thin material of her dress and frantic need overwhelmed me.
I ran my hands down her waist to her tight ass and pulled her hips flush with mine, my cock pressed against her stomach. When she closed her eyes and whimpered ever so softly, I started walking us toward Stephenson’s room. I would have her, I had to have her. A sound penetrated the haze of lust and without breaking the kiss, I flicked my eyes in the direction of the sound. The Lt. Colonel had just stumbled into his room and was closing the door. It was as though a bucket of ice was thrown over me.
What the hell was I doing? And what was she doing kissing me back that way? She was Trent’s.
My hands shot out to Skyla’s shoulders and I pushed her back. The surprise and hurt radiating from her face fueled my anger. I wanted to hurt her the way she hurt me—show her what it felt like to have her feelings disregarded.

I pulled my lip into an arrogant sneer I didn’t feel. The same look I’d given her countless times to hide the pain. I leaned in, my lips brushing her ear. I felt her shiver and loaded my voice with contempt. “Don’t get your panties in a bunch. Stephenson was coming and I had to do something to save us from suspicion. We’re on an assignment, Sky. Not a real date. Don’t get pissy with me because you got carried away by a simple kiss.”
Her hand came around to slap me across the face but I saw it coming and grabbed her wrist. Squeezing hard, my eyes narrowed into thin slits as I looked down at her.
“Watch yourself, Skyla, we wouldn’t want Trent to pick on the underlying . . . tension between us now would we?” Seeing the look of panic on her face, I added bitterly, “Don’t worry, I won’t tell if you don’t. I mean, what’s one more secret between us, right?”
Turning on my heel, I left her there to glare after me and descended the stairwell to the ballroom. I fucking hated myself.

I continue my trek up the path and ring the doorbell, hoping Addison answers the door. She has been avoiding me the last couple of days. Heather said something about an ex popping up out of nowhere. It doesn’t seem like there’s anything for me to worry about on that front, but it still has me feeling uneasy.

“If it isn’t the devil incarnate,” Addison’s voice interrupts my thoughts. My eyes instantly begin to devour her figure. I map her body from head to toe.

“Hello, Addison.”

“No witty comeback or snarky retort today? Are you losing your touch?” she asks with a raised eyebrow. I can only smirk in return, I’m trying desperately not to shove my way through the door. Her breathing starts to pick up as the tension thickens between us.

“You can feel it, don’t you?” I growl, stepping closer to her. I drop Delilah’s leash and wrap my arm around Addison’s waist pulling her closer to my body. Luckily Delilah goes directly into the house.

“Get your hands off me,” Addison whimpers.

“You want me, don’t you?” I whisper into her ear, running my nose down the curve of her neck. She moans in response. Pushing my way through the door, I kick it shut with my foot. I spin both of us around, pinning Addison to the door.

“I’m going to fuck you now.” There’s no mistake about it. I can’t wait any longer, my cock is rock hard and ready to take her.

“I hate you,” she says, the fire in her eyes makes me want her even more.

“I hate you too, but that’s beside the point. I’m still going to fuck you.” I lean down and devour her mouth, nipping at her lips until she grants me entry. I can’t blame her because that same need pulses through me, even though a nagging feeling sits on my chest, like I’m taking something that isn’t mine. I don’t want to hurt her or me.
