Logan is the baby of the family and so often throughout the book felt overlooked. Up until this book, each brother or cousin played Logan off as easy going, laid back, care free, etc…he is all of those things, but like we all have a habit of doing in our own personal lives, we forget what someone may be feeling on the inside just because of how they portray themselves on the outside. Logan may be easy going, but he is also sensitive and sweet, smart and never willing to give up.

As the youngest Blackthorne life has come relatively easy to Logan. At least that is what his brothers and cousins would say. Logan is laid back, easily distracted, and has the charm rolling off of him to win over anyone standing in his path. Well, that is except his very own father, Graham Blackthorne. His father wants him to settle on a career and he wants that to happen ASAP. The trouble is Logan can’t decide on just one career within the Blackthorne empire, he’s worked in and studied them all. When his father lays down an ultimatum is this the chance to step up or finally walk away and try something new?

Piper is home for the summer, having just finished her master’s in game design. She has a  decision to make, take just okay job opportunities with established companies where she would lose her rights to the game she designed games or jump on board and be part of a new company where she kept her rights, but with a company who hasn’t made a name for itself, which is scary in itself. While she’s home she takes a job at the Vault, a Blackthorne local bar, and runs into Logan. They grew up together and as one thing leads to another she asks him to look at her job proposal, as it turns out the man is not just a pretty face, but can their summer fling really be more than that?

With big decisions to make for both Piper and Logan it becomes clear that they are headed in opposite directions. While their time home was fun, that’s all it could ever be because Logan is a playboy who lives a carefree life, while Piper is a game designer with a carefully constructed life plan.

Sin For You was a bit of a slow start as Quinn and Logan’s chemistry didn’t jump right off the pages until several chapters in. I know for some readers that would make this a DNF (did not finish) kind of book, but I implore you to stick with Logan and Quinn’s story as they eventually find their footing, which is super steamy, that leads them to their HEA.

Quinn has moved back to her hometown after a recent breakup. She needs time to heal after finding her fiancé in bed with another woman. Coming back home she gets a job, working with Logan, her brother’s best friend who has always been a comforting protector in her life. However, she now is ready to move on and wants something more and that something more is Logan, at least as a rebound type of relationship.

Logan “Bull” isn’t exactly long-term relationship material. He has a past he isn’t proud of, but now he has a steady job and works hard to stay away from the man he used to be. He’s promised his best friend that he’ll do anything to protect his sister, Quinn, he just didn’t imagine that she’d request to be a rebound fling and that saying no would be so hard. Eventually his resolve fails and it’s a lost battle and as much as he tries to hold onto his heart, knowing it’s just a fling, he feels he may have lost that too.

While these two figure out their new normal, what does it mean to have a casual fling, because really they have known each other for years and nothing is really casual between them. Will Bull let Quinn leave when the time comes and Quinn walk away from the first man who hasn’t broken her heart?

My first thought: this woman is absolutely gorgeous. Long, dark hair. Pouty lips. And a tiny pink dress. Her eyes are covered by oversized aviators, but I’m sure they’re as pretty as the rest of her.

My second thought: what crazy excuse is she going to come up with to try and get out of this ticket? It never ceases to amaze me the things women are willing to do to keep from getting into trouble. I’ve been offered everything from a blowjob to a pay-off to marriage.

“Do you know why I pulled you over today, ma’am?”

“Tucker?” The woman smiles, then pushes her sunglasses to the top of her head. And that’s when I see the brown eyes I’ve spent more than a decade trying to forget. “Tucker Andrews, is that you?”

I step back and square my shoulders. “You can call me Officer Andrews. Do you know why I pulled you over today, ma’am?”

“Tucker.” The woman laughs and shakes her head. “It’s me, Scarlett.”

At the mention of her name, I’m met with an onslaught of flashbacks. Running hand and hand through the neighborhood with her, laughing and playing, only to have her ignore me the second we got to school. The popular crowd versus the nerds who desperately tried to fit in. She the former, me the latter, and the pain it caused every time she acted as though she didn’t know my name. “I do.” She gestured to a stack of clothes folded on the chair. “But I love these summer dresses. They’re so pretty. I’m worried this one’s too bright, though.”

“I have one.” She watched him carefully in the mirror. “I’m going on a date.”

“A date? With whom?”

“The guy I met at the bar the other night.”

Part of her checklist. Get freaky with a cowboy. “And he’s already asked you out?” Of course he did. She was beautiful and fun. Smart and sexy. What guy wouldn’t want to be with her?

She nodded. “What’s that expression for?”

“I think I can control myself.”

Brodie wanted to watch her strip out of that dress more than he could ever remember wanting anything. A hilarious return to the town of Happy Cat had me snorting and guffawing my way through this entire story. This may be my favorite Pippa and Lili collaboration to date it was that good!

Hitched begins with Blake watching a very downtrodden Hope, dressed in a wedding gown standing outside the courthouse, holding not a bouquet of actual flowers, but a bouquet of dandelions. Because in Hope’s mind the flowers she picked at that moment – or really weeds – have a moment of beauty before they die, like marriage.

Hope isn’t looking for a real commitment, or even a real marriage, she just needs a fake one. One that will die quickly once she gets her grandmother’s estate settled. Unfortunately she needs to be married to make that happen and she needs to be married quickly. Hence, she needs a dandelion.

Blake and Hope have been down this road before, four years before, but it wasn’t a marriage of convenience back then. It was a marriage of Vegas and one night of hot…hot stupidity which was quickly annulled. Well, at least that’s how Hope felt, since she did the annulling. Blake never really got over the hurt or the feelings, but he isn’t exactly keen on jumping right back in, although he also isn’t keen on watching Hope fail either. So….here comes the groom…..again.

As fake marriages go, together they make a pretty great couple, but only if they both decide they are in this marriage together. For now, they will have to fake it to make it and Blake is 100% in to make it happen for real. He doesn’t want to let Hope go this time and he feels that once she really lets her guard down she will feel the same way. Until then he will risk everything to fake it because she is worth it.

Hitched is a red hot, enemies-to-lovers laugh-a-palooza featuring a girl in need of a marriage of convenience and a man in need of a cold shower to keep from falling for his fake wife. They say opposites attract, but with Blake and Hope, they also combust…

A ragged sigh escaped Leah when my arm settled across her belly, but she didn’t wake, not then and not when I pulled her into the curve of my body. The silence wrapped around us like a warm blanket, turning tense muscles liquid and soothing the runaway thoughts in my head. Warriors knew to sleep when given the slightest opportunity. One Hot Summer is an anthology comprised of seven stories written by seven different authors. I read Single in Sitka for review purposes, but I’m itching to dive back in and read the rest because I loved Katy’s addition to this anthology and the other stories look just as good.

Katy did not disappoint with her addition to this anthology. Single in Sitka is about a journalist, Amanda, who finds herself in Sitka, Alaska chronicling information about recent bear attacks. Amanda is only in town for two weeks, but while there she also answers a personal ad of single dad, Luke Kingston, perhaps she doesn’t have to be lonely while finding out information for her job. She isn’t exactly ready for a long term commitment again, not after her long term boyfriend cheated on her and left.

Luke didn’t really place the ad looking for a no-strings-attached-get-back-on-the-horse kind of relationship, his sister actually did. It wasn’t that kind of ad…het our minds out of the gutter… she placed in the hopes that he would find something long term, but when Luke meets Amanda they both agree the short-term relationship is the way to go. He hasn’t been on a date since his wife died two years ago and Amanda is his first step out in the dating world again.

As Amanda and Luke get to know one another, it does get a little tougher to see the short term relationship come to end, but that was their rule going into the arrangement. Neither Luke nor Amanda want to leave with a broken heart.

This is the first part to their love story, the second half will arrive in October. I’m really looking forward to seeing how their romance plays out. This is a very steamy new romance series and Katy never disappoints in writing a fantastic romance.

Soooooooo cute!! I love Emma Hart and this book is adorable. I love the banter between Preston and Halley and Halley and her friends and Halley and pretty much anyone in town. I am in love with the small town of Creek Falls and everyone who lives in it. Kiss Me Not is insanely cute fun and I’m looking forward to this entire series!

Every year for the past four years, Halley Dawson has been the kissing booth champion at the annual Creek Falls fair. Not that her competition has been a great hunk to compete against, but still she has been the winner. This year her rival is none other than her long time crush, Preston Wright, also known as her best friend’s brother.

She’s not about to let him stand in her way of winning this year, or let the fact that her long time crush (whom she’s never admitted to anyone) is kissing lots of women, right next to her. Ugh…this year may be harder than ever before.
