Torn Apart; Torn and Bound Duet #1
(#1 in Duet)
Sizzling chemistry rolls off the pages and even better the story is filled with lots of humor, friendship, and love. Mark this duet as a top read for 2020!!
In a world filled with labels we try to categorize everyone we meet; married, single, straight, gay, cat lover or dog lover, the list goes on and on. Torn Apart not only is an amazing book, I want to state that right here and now, but it is also a fantastic look at how the world is changing regarding love and labels.
Chemistry is funny in the way of how it works. Take baking for example, if you add the wrong ingredient at the wrong time your end product just doesn’t turn out, but when everything is added at the right time…well, let’s just say something’s can explode, but hopefully in a good way.
Aside from the delightful sarcastic wit that regularly falls from Ashton’s mouth…seriously, I could listen to whomever he talks to through the entire book, probably the best conversations were involving labels. Why, as humans, are we so obsessed with them? Aside from reading, there is nothing that I love more than having intelligent conversations about anything…seriously I will talk about anything and I love learning, so put that in a book and that is a total braingasm for me. Torn Apart is engaging from beginning to end. I stayed up so, so, so late reading because it was so hard to put down.
Fair warning…the first part of this duet does end on a cliffhanger…it is book one after all, but it is an amazing start to this story between all four people.
From USA Today bestselling author K Webster and Nikki Ash comes an angsty, new adult, reverse harem romance.
I’ve spent the past three years in college terrorizing the dean, also known as my father.
I’m everything he hates.
But I’m only getting started.
I’m about to make Dad really proud with my newest life choices…
I fall for my best friend, Mia, who’s a freaking chick.
I’m dying to make out with my enemy, dude bro Brayden.
And best of all, I want to bone my new roomie, Drew, who happens to also be the school’s new hockey coach.
Senior year’s great.
I’m still the world’s worst human.
I’ve made all the wrong decisions, and when Dad gets wind of my newest mess, he might actually disown me this time.
But I can’t stop.
I don’t want to stop.
In typical Ashton Carter fashion, I wreck my life in the worst possible way.
It isn’t until it’s all torn apart, I realize I have a problem.
Authors’ note: Torn Apart is a full-length mature, new adult #whychoose romance between friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, with a bit of taboo thrown in. This story contains MF/MFMM/MM scenes. It’s the first book in the Torn and Bound duet and ends with a cliffhanger.
