BLURB

My dream was simple. Graduate this spring, save up enough money to escape the house of horrors I was living in, and see the world in a cool RV with my cat, Gus. No strings.

Then I passed out and face-planted in front of sexy, brooding Jude “Lucky” Lucketti, and he rushed me to the ER. It wasn’t one of my finest moments. But it was one of his. I guess you could say I was a damsel in distress, and Jude was my knight in shining armor. He became my own personal hero, turning up in all the right places at the right times.

But in reality, I was a girl with a serious eating disorder and a lot of bad luck, and he was a hot, older construction worker with lots of muscles and tattoos.

Under his rough exterior, he was a good guy. We became friends, and it didn’t matter that he was sixteen years older than me. We had a lot in common—like our love of rock music and vintage cars, and a mutual anti-marriage stance after coming from broken homes.

So when he proposed, it wasn’t like you think. He figured if he married me and put me on his insurance plan, I could get the medical treatment I needed and couldn’t afford. He even told me I could move into the extra bedroom at his house.

I said yes.

The arrangement would be temporary. A marriage on paper and nothing else. Within a year, we’d divorce.

It should have been easy, but it wasn’t.

Because here I am, eighteen years-old, still in high school, and married to a man I was never supposed to fall in love with.

I did, though.

We had just one rule—no kissing the bride.

Little did we know, breaking that rule on our wedding day would seal our fate forever.

Review – Charming Co-Worker by Lauren Runow and Jeannine Colette

Charming Co-Worker; Falling for the Stars
(A standalone)

by: Lauren Runow and Jeannine Colette

Review Rating:

Review/Synopsis:

Review:

Adorable, adorable, adorable!! This holiday story will completely charm the tinsel right off your ugly Christmas sweater.

The journey that Katie takes when she enlists the help of her charming co-worker, Hunter, so she can become a holiday vixen is sweetly charming mixed with a whole lot of smoldering chemistry in this a page-turning book.

I LOVED all of the holiday puns (I’m such a sucker for them), along with the “Bridget Jones Diary” type jealousy between Branson and Hunter. The thinking of men – you have something I want, so now I want it too. Not only do I love this movie…I adore how Lauren and Jeannine worked this kind of male thinking into their book, especially when Charming Co-Worker is written in Katie’s POV.

This holiday love story will not only make you fall in love with the upcoming season, it gave me a sense of family (which I know personally I will be missing out on this 2020), it also wrapped me up in everything that I know is cheesy about all of those Hallmark movies, but we pull them out year after year and binge watch them anyway (yes, Katie and Hunter even joke about them). Charming Co-Worker just made me feel good, which is why once I began reading it, I couldn’t put it down.

Synopsis:

All I want for Christmas is Branson Ford.

I’ve been starry-eyed for my handsome boss since the day I started working for him at Empire Media. Problem is, he doesn’t see me as anything more than his sweet assistant.

I need help becoming a vixen. I need someone to teach me how to be sensual, how to be desired, and how to get the man I’ve pined over for the last two years. So, I enlist the help of my co-worker.

My very sexy, very charming co-worker, Hunter Johnstone.

Hunter loves the thrill of the chase. He’s spontaneous, honest, and just the man I need for a lesson in passion. When he suggests we start a fake relationship, I think he’s crazy, but who am I to question his jealousy-inducing ways?

His little trick works—maybe too well. The line between friends and lovers is blurred, but maybe that’s because it was never really there. And just as I’m about to start seeing clearly, my Christmas wish comes true.

One Time Only;
(An interconnected standalone)

Review/Synopsis:

Review:

Hot, witty, and so darn hot!! At the end of the day it still comes down to keeping a friendship intact between two people, but who doesn’t love hotness between two friends? Blakely delivers on all fronts and One Time Only is fun and smexy!!

One Time Only is a story that I’ve been dying to read since I meet Stone Zenith One Night Only. There is a reason he sells millions of records and it isn’t just his amazing voice. He’s charismatic, charming, melts panties or boxers off anyone who gets too close, and he’s just an all around nice guy.

Notice how I said panties and boxers…yeah Stone’s an omnivore when it comes to the bedroom.  He doesn’t discriminate, or more like, he enjoys all flavors when it comes to having a good time. However, the one person he can’t pin down is his stoic, straight laced bodyguard, Jackson Pearce. It’s the straight in that sentence that bothers Stone. He believes that Jackson bats for the straight team, what he doesn’t know is that Jackson is so good at his job that he’s been keeping his lusty feelings all wrapped up and stoically hidden underneath all of his bulging muscles.

Jackson loves his job and also needs his job. At the end of the day he loves being a bodyguard, but he also needs the paycheck to pay his bills. He literally can’t afford to mess things up by fooling around with his boss so keeping his feelings under wraps is the best idea not only for his sanity, but for his career. He’d love nothing better than to lick Stone from head to toe, but guarding his body is the best he can do because sleeping with the boss is never a good idea.

However, one night when Stone and Jackson share one hot kiss…well…find out if these two hot men push each other for more.

And If I give in again, I might lose everything.
Good thing I’m strong, determined, and dedicated to resisting him.
But after a close call at his concert, all bets are off.
And in his hotel room, we strike a brand new deal.
One that can’t end well for me, but I do it anyway. Because sometimes you grab hold of the desire. And other times, the desire takes hold of you.

New Release – First to Fail by Marie Johnston

RELEASE BLITZ
Title: First to Fail
Series: Unraveled #3
Author: Marie Johnston
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Release Date: November 2, 2020
BLURB

By day, I’m a strict principal of a private school filled with wealthy families like the one I grew up in. By night, I’m a lithe assassin with a penchant for latex and roller derby. At least my cosplay character is, and I never let my personal life bleed into my professional one. Until the handsome comic book shop owner I had a steamy session with at the local comic con walks into my office.

Chris is the father of one of my students, and completely off limits. I wouldn’t be a good role model for all my young students if I trashed my career over a guy, not even one I can’t quit thinking about.

***

As a business owner and single father, I don’t have time to date. But when work and pleasure collide in a dark corner of the local comic con, I’m willing to make dating a priority. Only the hot cosplayer in the tight body suit disappears in the crowd before I get her real name.

When I see her again, she’s behind an imposing desk, wearing eye glasses instead of a mask, and reprimanding my daughter. Natalia’s determined to keep our roles strictly professional, but I’m determined to get another taste of the uninhibited woman hidden under that business suit.

First to Fail is a full-length standalone novel in the Unraveled series. It was previously published as Based on Principal in the now obsolete Fanboys series.

A Bridge Between Us
(A standalone)

by: K.K. Allen

Review Rating:

Review/Synopsis:

Review:

A beautifully crafted tale that spans over a lifetime. Can two destined soulmates prove that hate is stronger than love or will it end up killing them before it kills their love?

A Bridge Between Us is a story between two families that began over a century ago, a long standing feud that runs deep, and the two children who weren’t born to understand the hate surrounding, but are continually pulled into the mess which ultimately destroys them over and over again.

Camila and Ridge come from opposite sides of the bridge that separates their land, but as children neither really understand the century old feud that exists between their families. Camila makes a promise to Ridge that when she takes over for her family in the future she won’t have hate in her heart and she will connect their lands and end the feud. While Ridge likes the idea of her promise, he also isn’t blinded by her fantasies. At a young age, he’s already had a tough life, losing his mother and moving in with the father he’s never met before.

This is a story that spans decades and goes through heartache, growth, and several tribulations. Even through Camila and Ridge may be soulmates they have a long, tough road throughout their entire relationship. There are outside forces that constantly push them apart. Not only a past filled with hatred, but an unknown mystery on their land and mix that with good ol’ fashioned stubbornness and Camila and Ridge’s story is full of angst and suspense.

Synopsis:

I had always known he wasn’t mine to keep, but that didn’t change the way I loved him—quietly, gently, and from afar. ⁣

As the seasons changed, the corn stalks grew strong, and the grapevines flourished with hope. But none of it mattered, not when the soil at our feet bound us in a century-old rivalry. We’d never even had a chance. ⁣

They said life flashed before your eyes on the way to death, but on that night, after my final scream burst from my throat and my world started to fade to black, I only thought of him. Of his sweet chocolate eyes, his desperately cautious stare, and his silence that carried more weight than gold. ⁣

I should have died that night. Instead, I crossed the moonlit bridge and never returned. ⁣

I let rivalry win. If only that had been enough to keep us all safe. If only we didn’t have a bridge between us.⁣

Bound Together; Torn and Bound Duet #2
(#2 of a duet)

by: K. Webster and Nikki Ash

Review Rating:

Review/Synopsis:

Review:

This duet deserves so many stars it is a shame that I have to stop at five. Bound Together is intensely passionate, full of sarcastic wit, loaded with emotional depth, and is a true must read.

First of all, Bound Together is hot, hot, hands down the hottest book I’ve read in 2020🔥. Secondly, the characters are full of so much depth, you will be able to connect with each and every one of them at some point on their journey to happiness. The overall message of no labels, while so very important in romantic love, also applies to other aspects of our lives. We love to place labels on everyone and put them in a box and Ashton (still one of my favorite characters) has the toughest time coming to terms with this concept. Don’t worry, he’s still seeing his therapist about it.

Torn Apart gives us the beginning stages of how Drew, Braydon, Mia, and Ashton all know one another, how their lives tie and weave together in a tangled knot of emotional mess. Bound Together begins right in the heart of this tangled knot, with Drew and Braydon on one end and Mia and Ashton on the other and the two sides trying to figure out how they can not only stay friends, but if there could be more.

There were so many heart swelling moments throughout this entire book. Not only were the four of them learning how to navigate their relationships, but they were also trying to steer their family, school, jobs, friends, basically everything that we all have to deal with on a daily basis and I think that is why this book was so emotional. It was so real, which touched my heart all the more.

Synopsis:

From USA Today bestselling author K Webster and Nikki Ash comes an angsty, new adult, why choose romance.

Oh, look, Ashton Carter destroyed his life—again.

Dad’s disappointed in me.
No shocker there.
But with them, it’s worse.
We’re torn apart and I’m responsible for the shredding.

Selfish.
Liar.
Unworthy.

I’ve made a mess of it all.
I’m not sure it’s even fixable.

Four broken hearts…
Anyone got any tape?

I may be self-destructive and have sucked them into my mess, destroying everyone’s lives in the process, but I’m sure I can fix it.

It’s gonna take focus and determination, both of which I’m sorely lacking.

I’m a spoiled boy who’s used to getting what I want.
In this case, I want them. All of them.
And I sure as hell won’t stop until I succeed.

Not until we’re bound together by…
Me.

Authors’ note: Bound Together is a full-length mature, new adult, why choose romance between friends to lovers, enemies to lovers, with a bit of taboo thrown in. This story contains MF/MFMM/MM scenes. It’s the epic conclusion in the Torn and Bound duet. Torn Apart must be read first.

New Release – Kissing Lessons by Stefanie London

Today we have the release day blitz of Stefanie London’s KISSING LESSONS! Check out this gorgeous new romance and be sure to get your copy today!

Title: Kissing Lessons

Author: Stefanie London

Genre: Contemporary Romance

About Kissing Lessons:

Welcome to Kissing Creek, where everything has a romance-themed pun for a name and love is lurking around every corner…

Audrey Miller doesn’t believe in happily-ever-after, so she is definitely living in the wrong town. But she’s never getting out of Kissing Creek, because playing pseudo-mom for her younger siblings doesn’t leave time for much else. She’ll do anything to make sure they don’t end up stuck like she is, working as a barista in a college town, serving Pink Passion mochas with Chocolate Smooch donuts.

Then Ronan Walsh, a new young professor and walking cliché, right down to the elbow patches on his blazer, steps in for a coffee and into her life. She knows his type—intelligent and charming, yet sweet as a cinnamon roll, the sort of man she’s inevitably attracted to but is always out of her league. So why does someone like him have any interest in a worker bee with no future?

Her bland-as-oatmeal existence has nothing to offer, but Ronan’s temporary teaching position is only a stepping stone on his way to somewhere else. He isn’t here to put down roots, Audrey’s roots are firmly planted—neither of them is looking for love. And maybe that’s just perfect.

“It’s the llama,” she whispered, her green eyes wide.

She said it with the same level of awe-struck, yet fear-filled reverence as if she’d announced that Satan himself had walked into the bookstore.

“A llama?” He raised a brow.

The llama.” She sucked in a breath. “We only have one, our college baseball team’s mascot. She’s mean.”

“Aren’t llamas supposed to be all fuzzy and cute?”

Audrey made a scoffing noise. “No. You’re thinking about alpacas, which are sweet-natured little bundles of fleece and eyelashes. They wouldn’t hurt a fly. I love alpacas. But llamas…they’ll cut you.”

For some reason he had this vision of a llama wielding a butcher’s knife, Psycho style. “I’m sure you’re exaggerating.”

He walked past the rows of books. There was a startled yelp from the front of the store and something that sounded like a stack of books being knocked over.

“Stay back, Lily!”

Ronan glanced back over his shoulder at Audrey, who shrugged as if to say: it’s your funeral. He’d seen llamas before…well, not in person. Only in memes that his colleagues liked to send around occasionally. Then there was his friend who’d gone to South America and posted a bunch of pictures with him and the furry creatures to Facebook. They didn’t look that scary.

“Lily…don’t you dare!”

Ronan exited the aisle in time to see Lily, whom he could only assume was the shaggy beast taking up most of the space in the front of the bookstore—thus blocking the exit—nudge a pile of books, sending them toppling over.

“You confounding animal!” Mr. Hart was definitely wide awake now and shakily getting to his feet. He was protected by a large, heavy banker’s desk, complete with hunter green leather insert and matching lamp. “Go on, shoo! Get out of here.”

But Lily merely looked at him with the disdain of someone who knew they were in the position of power. She stretched up to her full height and Ronan gulped. Okay, so maybe she did look a little mean. And damn if she didn’t weight over three hundred pounds. At her full height, he’d guess her to be a hair under six feet tall, meaning she could look him right in the eyes.

“Don’t get too close,” Audrey advised from behind her barricade. “She—”

Audrey’s advice was cut short by the llama drawing her head back and spitting right in Ronan’s face. The moisture hit the side of his cheek, as instinct had made him turn his head, and now it was sliding down to his jaw in a soggy, slow trail.

“She spat in his face!” Mr. Hart shoved his glasses back up his nose and made a sound that could only be classified as chortling. Unabashedly gleeful chortling.

Ronan dragged his hand across his left cheek, unsure whether that made it better or worse, because now his arm was sticky, too. “Score one, llama.”
