I fell in love with Griffin when I met him in Four Weddings and a Swamp Boat Tour and that love is now eternal after Otterly Irresistible. There is something about a grumpy hero who has a soft spot for animals that just melts my soul. The grouchier they are the harder they fall and I’ll just say that Griffin is extra grouchy when this book begins.

Charlotte “Charlie” Landry is in Autre for her cousins’ weddings. Yes, that is plural, but that is entirely different story all together and while Charlie and Griffin meet during this momentous occasion, their story is entirely their own and revolves around otters, goats, and pigs…oh my!

Griffin is one grumpy vet with a gruff exterior who cares more about animals than he does about people. When Charlie asks him to dance he says no, but she is a girl who doesn’t take the word no lightly so his challenging gruffness calls to her need to never hear that word. Their very opposite views on, well basically everything, is adorable and just down right…delightful to read.

Otterly Irresistlbe is completely endearing, not only with all of the animals, but also with Charlie’s never ending supply of energy and ideas, but also with Griffin’s tender loving nature around every living creature and the dominate way he handles Charlie—yum.

This is the first book in a new Gone Wild series, but you’ll also get moments of catching up with favorite characters from the Bayou. I loved every moment of where Erin is taking us in this new Bayou adventure and I’m very excited for the ride.
