Review:

I love, love, love when a series gets better and Julia Wolf far surpassed my expectations on this book!!

Asher and Bex were tortured and angsty and so, so broken…it is truly destiny that they would wind up together or would ultimately destroy one another. There was no in between. Their story is one that once you pick it up you won’t be able to put it back down, so buckle in and get ready for an emotional ride.

Through the Ashes wasn’t anything like I was expecting. All the twists and ups and downs of this story were heartbreaking. Bex and Asher were both broken souls who needed someone to care about them, but also so lost they didn’t know what they were searching for.

I don’t want to say too much because reading their truths at the exact right time is what made the story so enjoyable.

While this book is full of emotions, it is also steamy hot. This is a time in your life when discovering your tastes and preferences really come out with the right partner. These two use their emotional outlets for finding out what their boundaries are and YUM! Ash and Bex are just yummy. I’m going to leave it at that.

While this is book two in the Savage Crew series, it can be read as a complete standalone. Bex and Asher’s story is completely their own.

Synopsis:

I’ve never fit in, but I have no desire to stand out either. I was perfectly fine hanging in the shadows, but my choice to remain anonymous is taken from me.

I’m thrust into the spotlight. His spotlight.

Asher Beck is a golden god at Savage River High. Football star, whip-smart, and popular, we don’t belong in the same hemisphere, let alone circle. But underneath that perfection is a darkness he only reveals to me.

I have no idea what I did to capture Asher’s attention, but he is relentless in his pursuit. The problem is, I can’t tell if he’s trying to break me or own me…and I don’t know which I want more.

Broken boy meets broken girl.

Author’s Note: Through the Ashes is a high school bully romance with mature themes and dubious situations some readers may find offensive. If heroes who are golden on the outside but dark as night on the inside aren’t your thing, this book isn’t for you!

Review:

Leo and Haley return in this twisted fairytale with all the darkness I love and seasoned throughout we still have wisps of the beastly tale we know and love that’s as old as time.

Riding the adrenaline wave from Secret Beast, we jump right in wondering if Leo will survive the gunshot he received at the end of that big cliffhanger. A lot of this book focuses on Leo’s health and getting him back on his feet, but more importantly this part of the story is about Haley. Will she survive the upheaval in her life, both physically and emotionally, being torn between the Morellis and the Constantines.

Haley is young, but in this book she really comes into her own. The Constantine blood running through her veins probably helps, but she meets the strong Morelli women and they give her an extra boost of confidence that really narrow that age gap between Haley and Leo (not literally of course, but you understand). Her inner strength really shines and all of the strong women in Leo’s life help in his recovery.

Hidden Beauty is full of ups and down and Leo, the Beast of Bishop’s Landing, lets down his walls finally giving Haley a glance at his vulnerability, but don’t worry her filthy beast is still present and I love seeing all sides to this snarling beast.

This is only book two in this fantastic trilogy and ends on another cliffhanger…GAH!! The ending is right around the corner and I can hardly wait to find out how these two will find their HEA.

Synopsis:

Is Leo Morelli a beast or a prince? He locks Haley in his castle for her own safety. She sees only the best in him, but the worst is yet to come.

HIDDEN BEAUTY is the second book in the Beauty and the Beast trilogy from USA Today bestselling author Amelia Wilde.
