There is a lot to untangle and a lot of plot to unfold in this first book of Savage Falls, with that being said, Caitlyn Dare is an excellent tour guide in leading the path to unfold the perfect twists, feels, and revelations for a first time reader (like me) in her world.

Sadie Ray Dalton is an only child to the current MC president, and she is torn in so many directions. It’s not only the guys in her life that are only part of why her emotions are in an upheaval. Her dad invites the Savage siblings to live in her home after their mother passes, which means Rhett (the bane of her existence) will also be around more. He is a thorn in her side, but helping his sister, River, find herself is a sweet retribution to get back at Rhett when he’s being a total jerk. They have a tumultuous – hate fueled relationship that sparks into a wicked chemistry when they are alone together, but that’s why it’s good to have someone like Dane as their friend to be the salve to all their wounds.

Dane Stray is the balm, the glue, the sweet salve between these two heated sparks. Years ago Dane was friends with Sadie first before he became friends with Rhett. In the male dominated MC world Sadie’s friendship faded into the background as his friendship with Rhett grew. Now that they are older and things are….different…Dane may be the glue that holds them all together, but he’s also his own man and is hot in his own demanding time with Sadie girl.

Wes Noble is a true wildcard in this first part of the story. He throws Sadie for a complete loop every time he’s on the page. Wes plays football and runs in a completely different crowd, but not everything behind the American goodboy looks and rich boy home is as it seems.

Savage ends on a huge cliffhanger and I can’t wait to see how everything plays out. I have a feeling that Wes’ involvement is going to have a huge impact on everyone and I’m terribly excited to see exactly how. Plus there is an underlying mystery with a touch of suspense which is always exciting to read, plus…hello…three hot guys.

What a way to begin a hot new trilogy and I can’t wait to see where it all goes.

The Crowned Crows walk the line of morality. Four friends who are more like brothers run an underworld of fighting rings, polker, and more, and they run it on secrets and favors. As the story went along this concept became clearer as these boys already live in a rich, entitled world. Trust fund babies who want for nothing, but knowing the dark secrets of the rich and powerful who think they run the city is worth more than any amount that sits in their bank account. This is what makes the Crowned Crows so powerful and what sends Rowan seeking their help in locating her missing brother.

Rowan is desperate, her brother has been missing for several weeks without any word and the police weren’t any help. Her last desperate attempt is seeking out the Crowned Crows, she’s heard they have methods for getting information, however, Rowan just needs to give up a favor in return.

Getting to know the four crows; they are each unique. Colton is fun, the total jokester. He is witty, sassy, and full of comebacks. Levi is silent and lethal. He comes off broody and surly, but I suspect he could be possessive and caring underneath. Jude was the biggest mystery of the four of them. A con man who can easily slip into any role. Last, but certainly not least is Wren. The king crow who is commanding, powerful, imposing, and infatuated with Rowan. Wren breaks all his rules for the girl who breaks down all of his walls, or more likes storms past them. She may have infiltrated the camp of monsters, but she also fits right in with them.

This book was full of surprises and lots of twists. It’s only the beginning of the suspenseful plot and will continue in the upcoming books.
