Review:
A fantastical love story that will make a believer of love out of anyone.
Elle is coined the “Willow Witch” by students at her school. She believes in signs from nature and that listening to the earth that fortune, or destiny will lead your way. If that makes her a witch then she is okay with that assessment. She doesn’t need anyone’s approval to be happy, but when she literally bumps into Hudson, a yoga instructor, on the day that cherry blossoms were falling, a sign of change, well…Hudson was a change in her world, a big change.
Hudson never thought that meeting Elle would monumentally change the course of his life, but she is truly unlike anyone he’s ever met. Elle doesn’t mind being alone, as to her it doesn’t equate to loneliness. She brings him a sense of peace he hasn’t felt in years and her gift, a gift she hasn’t shared with anyone else is truly beyond this world. It doesn’t take long to grow close to her and Hudson can’t imagine a world without her.
Hudson has no idea how he went from never knowing Elle to how he could not go a day without never speaking to her. She becomes a link to his calm and their lives become wrapped up in everything important.
When Elle finds out that her father, a man she’s never met, leaves her an estate, really a castle, but with stipulations upon receiving this massive gift. What does one do with a castle? How does she meet the stipulations? Can she really take something from a man she never knew? These are just some of the questions that plague her mind on top of what is also happening upon meeting Hudson. These stories are intertwined and all of these feelings go together, but how will it all turn out…only one way to find out is to read this magical story about a witch, a yoga instructor and an inherited castle.
LJ Evans brings forth emotions and connects them to the world around us in a way that will light up your senses in a whole new way. My skin felt electric and everything buzzed around me as I read this book. It’s truly a magical journey that will make you believe in love.

Synopsis:
Today was a fairy tale…
I inherited a fortune from a dad I never knew,
And a thoroughly charming guy asked me out.
Unfortunately, my fairy tale could disappear in ninety days…
Because there’s an impossible task to complete,
And a greedy cousin plotting against me.
Plus, I’m not your typical fairy tale princess.
I have a secret that might send my charming running,
And threatens my future if the press finds out.
If today was a fairy tale…
Why does my happily ever after look so far out of reach?
From award-winning author, LJ Evans, comes a contemporary romance filled with all the magic, hope, and love of a fairy tale plus the slow-burn, old-soul vibe her fans adore. Inspired by Taylor Swift’s “Today Was a Fairytale,” this small-town romance is pure escapism.
