Review:
Tap into every emotion for the top read of 2021! Ripple Effect is hands down the most emotional rollercoaster ride I’ve ever experienced while reading. Laughing, crying, so much tension I was a huge stress ball of anxiety, and then I was back to laughing through my tears while my heart was pounding through my chest. My emotional stability was all over the place and yet I couldn’t stop reading.

Dani Malone is a hotmess, crazy neighbor with rules galore and I loved her to pieces. She is the post-it note queen when it comes to passively-aggressively antagonizing her neighbor, Chad Woodcock. Only Chad is an alias for RJ Contreras, a former boyband mega star. Dani is clueless that she’s been living next door to a rockstar since Chad is covered under mountains of beard, shaggy hair and a sour attitude. These two are full of sassy attitude and hilarity as they volley back and forth with quick wits and lethal jabs and truthfully, I could have continued reading their enemies to lovers story for 500 more pages, but as the title of the book is appropriated….prepare for a ripple effect and it is a dozy.

Under duress, Dani and RJ go through a traumatic event unlike anything I’ve ever read. It ramped up my anxiety and tension to a level 50 on a scale of one to ten and I had to keep reminding myself that this was a romance book and that Bengtsson wouldn’t destroy my idea of a HEA.

Ripple Effect is emotional and beautiful, while still being funny and filled with tons of heart. It is truly one of the best books I’ve read in a long time and I’m so glad I was able to read it.

It’s about family, changing your outlook, loving your neighbor, loving yourself, and finding your inner strength even in the most dire of circumstances. There is so much more, but I don’t want to give everything away because it needs to be experienced first hand.

Don’t let this book fall through the cracks in your TBR, it is a must read!! Pick it up so you too can cry, laugh, and fall in love with this beautiful story.

Synopsis:

He’s the surly rocker in hiding.
She’s the fed up neighbor who wants him dead.

Enemies to lovers tale with an earth-shaking twist!

When his mega-famous boy band AnyDayNow breaks up, international pop star RJ Contreras strikes out on his own. But when his solo career flops, RJ retreats to a no-frills apartment where he can hide out from the world and lick his festering wounds.

But when the girl next door starts slipping ‘good neighbor’ contracts under his door and complaining about his behavior through strategically placed Post-it-Notes, RJ snaps out of his self-absorbed melancholy to wage war.

Nothing short of an act of nature could repair the relationship between these two strong-willed enemies. But guess what Fate has in store?
