A sweet, surprise pregnancy romance with the perfect splash of humor and the right mix of chemistry.

A one-time wedding night decision leads to a lifetime of commitment. Oops! Neither Hollis nor Lowell were looking for more than just a one-night stand when they hooked up on a wedding night, but when Hollis discovers that she’s pregnant their one time together turns into so much more.

As far as a love story goes, this one was sweet and held no surprises. Their love developed slowly, even though their passion burned bright right from the beginning. What I really enjoyed, aside from Lowell’s sweet words, were the moments splashed through out where Hollis or Lowell spent time with family or friends. The secondary characters were perfectly placed to add the right amount of tension or comedy relief or emotional support all without taking away from the ongoing plot. It allowed my favorite past characters to shine while getting great insight into future plots. Poor Miller, now I say poor, but really he takes being everyone’s punching bag with gentle ease, I’m looking forward to the day he gets his book, hopefully.

The next best part, and I’ve enjoyed it with each of the Comet books, is the text messaging between main characters. Teagan has mastered the art of witty texting. I love reading the back and forth banter and laughing my way through those chapters each and every time.

The Carolina Comet world is growing and I can’t wait to return and see who helps expand it next.
