Review Rating: 5 Gold Stars
The tension, ALL the steam, the gritty, raw passion, and of course all the dark mafia deals…Gorgeous Monster is a wicked good read.
Whew!! The Marchetti Monster is smoking hot and lives without regret, he is a mafia don afterall, but his daughters’ best friend, who ask him to protect her life, may be the first deal he lives to regret or does he??
Natalia is super feisty with a mouth that tends to get her into trouble, but around Cristian that mouth also keeps her alive. Yes, it’s a very fine line between life and death throughout the entire book, but that line also kept the pages turning with all the hot, steamy chemistry between Natalia and Cristian.
Obviously there is an age gap between Cristian and Natalia, she is his daughter’s best friend after all, but for me, it was truly non-existent while I read the book. Their chemistry is off the charts, which is probably one reason why it wasn’t an issue. The plot also kept rolling and never stopped, which was another huge factor. There was never a lull, allowing my brain to ponder and wander. So I loved how quickly paced, yet well thought out the entire storyline happened.
The mafia world has now been set in Gorgeous Monster and Cristian Marchetti is just the first mobster to be introduced. I’m really excited to return to this world in the next book.
When my ex-boyfriend puts a hit out on me, there’s only one man I can run to for protection.
The head of the Marchetti Mafia Family.
My best friend’s father.
My last resort.
Cristian’s protection doesn’t come free.
But what he wants might cost me my life.
He’s the mafia king, and I’m his sacrifice.
And now, I must become his wife.
