Jumping right into where we left Bristol and Will in Blackmail, Bristol is trying to move on after Will literally left her jobless and walked away from anything that involved his feelings…so when a new temp job takes her to the same building where Will also happens to work, could it be fate trying to reconnect what he broke?

Bristol is sassily delicious and yes, I’m totally sticking with that word. While she never was a wallflower before Will sold his company, she really takes control of what she wants now that Will is in her path again. Getting the smallest of smiles from him, opening up, it’s the small things she realizes that make everything worthwhile and she knows she wants more and more, especially his side that he refers to as the monster.

Will still tries to keep Bristol at arms length, while pulling her in over and over again, so as much as he wants to keep her, his inner monster will only destroy her. He couldn’t live with himself if he destroys her…but, letting her go becomes more difficult every single day. Especially when she engrains her life into his and the more she does the more he can’t imagine a life without her.

Between the Anderson twins, Will’s brothers, and the interconnection between the other Midnight Dynasty stories, and just getting even more in depth with Will and Bristol, I was so drawn into this book that I really didn’t want it to end. Although, that ending!!!!! GAH!! Yeah, another reason why I never wanted the book to end because now I’m dying and need answers!
