This holiday novella deserves ALL the mistletoe kisses for how perfect it was!!
Considering The Fake Holidate was a short read it packed in chemistry, adorable animals, quirky characters, a page-turning storyline, and holiday cheer. It is the perfect holiday story to read while sitting by the fire with a hot cup of hot cocoa.
Clover is invited back home for her sister’s wedding, right before Christmas. To make matters worse, her sister is marrying her ex-boyfriend who cheated on her with said sister, only last year. Merry Friggin Christmas to her. While Clover really doesn’t want to go to the wedding, she really doesn’t want to go alone, but that is when Nick – her co-worker – who she thought hated her, offered himself up as tribute. Maybe he doesn’t hate her as much as she thought??
While Clover can’t figure out Nick and why he wants to come to her nightmare, it doesn’t take long to appreciate his presence and then really, really appreciate his naked torso and soft lips and what is with the hand holding?? Okay, so she isn’t really sure how the fake boyfriend turned into making her stomach flutter and twist and turn so much, but it’s possible that there could be more to Nick than she originally thought.
This book is adorable and sweet with just the right amount of spice for the holiday season. I really loved Sugar Mountain and the cast of characters Knight brought to this world.
The holidays are all merry and bright…
Until your sister decides to marry your ex—on Christmas.
Now I’m heading home to Sugar Mountain for this nightmare of a wedding.
To make matters worse, my work nemesis somehow convinced me to bring him as my date.
He’s grumpy and rude—the most infuriating man on the planet. Honestly, forget decking the halls, I’d rather deck him in the face.
It doesn’t help that he’s unbelievably handsome. But he hates me, or so I thought.
Until one fake date changes everything.
Even my family can’t help but fall for his charms.
He’s blurring lines, confusing things.
Making me want to jingle his bells.
I don’t know what’s going to happen after this trip.
All I’m sure of is, faking nice has never felt this naughty.
