Review:
Nico and Bri!! GAH!! What a rollercoaster of a ride with a total rush of emotions!! Tracy never fails to bring her couples together in the most spectacular way and WOW! did Nico and Bri have a high stakes finish to their story!! I couldn’t tear my eyes from the pages!

From start to finish, I’m talking – beginning of the trilogy to the very end, Nico really grew into one fine man. I am not talking about only falling for the love of his life, but also losing his father and stepping up within the organization that opened his eyes to a much wiser Nico, because seriously…wiser Nico is fffiiiiirrrrreeeee!!

Even though we could all see these two ending up together, their kicking and clawing against it only held off the inevitable, but what a fight it was because it was super hot to watch…yum. However, there was more to them then just all they nakey times. Nico and Bri found something deeper than they ever imagined from that first night spent together and I loved each emotional connection they made in this last book. It hit all of the feels.

Bri goes through the wringer in this last book and she goes through growing pains as she comes out the other side of…well everything. Bri and Nico grow closer with their turmoil, through their pain and within their relationship, and it’s a beautiful thing to witness.

I’m pretty sure I say this with every trilogy, but this trilogy was one of my fav’s. The entire plot was intense and it’s all coming to a close as we are down to the last man standing. I can hardly wait for it.

Synopsis:

I found everything I didn’t know I needed.
Accepted forgiveness I didn’t deserve.

She fought for us.
Killed for us.
She was one of us.
And there was no way I was letting her go… again.

But I’m not the only one with wicked intentions for my siren. With her missing, we turn our blame to an obvious enemy. But our path of destruction could be leading us right into another trap.

We’ve been so consumed trying to win this war, that we’re losing the battle. We’ve been oblivious to what’s right in front of us.

Those kind of mistakes could destroy us. If we let them.

Individually, we’re strong.
But together, we’re invincible.
And we’re about to show the world just what we’re capable of.

Review – Sidelined by Becca Steele

Sidelined; LSU #2
(#2 within a series)

Genre/Tropes: New Adult/MM/Bi-awakening/Friends-to-Lovers Romance

Author: Becca Steele

Review Rating: 5 Gold Stars

Review/Synopsis:

Review:
Each Becca Steele novel becomes my new favorite and she has done it again!! I totally fell in love with Ander and Elliot both independently and together. Sigh….

Ander and Elliot have been best friends since they were little, but as they got older Elliot realized his feelings for his best friend began to change, but he buried them deep as Ander was straight. Elliot, throughout this entire book, broke me over and over again. His side of the story is super angsty and it’s no wonder with how he had to bury his feelings for so long. He needed all the hugs and kisses and I totally wanted to give them to him.

It was the moment that Ander shared a kiss with Elliot that everything in both of their lives changed. For the first time Ander saw a whole new world of opportunities he’d been missing out on, like a whole new buffett he hadn’t been eating and suddenly he wanted to explore it. What he didn’t realize was it wasn’t the world he wanted to explore, it was just Elliot.

Ander is super easy going, self confident in a way that makes him really likeable, it’s hard not to fall for him over and over, even as he figured things out. These two were the perfect balance of best friends to lovers with great chemistry. I loved this book and how these two finally fell for each other. Sooooooo good!!!

Synopsis:
I’ve been in love with my best friend, Ander, for as long as I can remember. I’ve always kept my feelings to myself, knowing that I’d never have a chance because he’s straight.
Until the day he does me a favour by pretending to be my boyfriend.

After that, things change. He’s suddenly interested in experimenting with guys…just not with me.
It’s time for me to move on, and accept that nothing between us will ever change. He only sees me as his best friend.

Except…now he’s looking at me in a different way.
Does he feel something more than friendship for me, or am I just deluding myself?
I guess it’s time to find out.

Review – The Setup by Jennifer Bernard

The Setup; Lake Bittersweet #3
(#3 within a series)

Publication Date: December 27, 2022

Genre/Tropes: Small Town/Holiday/Brother’s Best Friend Romance

Author: Jennifer Bernard

Review Rating: 5 Gold Stars

Review/Synopsis:

Review:
A totally fun read with Bernard’s emotional and suspenseful touches throughout.

Gina Moretti is passionate, feisty, and full of spirit. I loved her character, her family, and especially her and Kirk together. For everything Gina has been through in her life, she is full of spunk and super sassy. The perfect partner for a hero like Kirk, although don’t let Kirk hear you call him that – LOL.

Kirk Williams came back to Lake Bittersweet after his last hero save to mend what he didn’t expect was to run into Gina Moretti, his best friend’s little sister. She was all grown up and gorgeous and he couldn’t take his eyes off of her. However, Gina was currently in the middle of a date when he first laid eyes on her and it just happened to be one date in the potential of many. The entire town was in on setting Gina up and it didn’t take long before Kirk wanted to be the only one she was dating.

Gina and Kirk were a ton of fun to read, surrounded by a great cast of characters. Just enough emotion and suspense to add to this wonderful story.

Synopsis:
He left without warning in the middle of a Lake Bittersweet winter.
Now he’s back… just in time for the holidays.

For Gina Moretti, the holidays are bittersweet thanks to a history of romantic disasters. This holiday season, her friends are taking the reins and are setting her up. Little did she know the whole town would get into the act, but that’s Lake Bittersweet for you. When a date goes sideways, she’s shocked to be rescued by the one-and-only Kirk Williams–her brother’s best friend, who left town long ago and is now a celebrity hero.

Kirk is back in Lake Bittersweet for some peace and quiet, but once he sees Gina, that’s out of the question. His best friend’s tomboy little sister is now a gorgeous woman with secrets of her own. When she asks him for help tracking down someone from her past, he jumps at the chance to win her trust. As for resisting their intense attraction…he might be famous for his heroic rescues, but he’s not that strong.

Can Kirk and Gina banish the ghosts of holidays past and claim the future of their dreams …while dealing with family revelations, obsessed fans, and the endless parade of holiday setups?
