The final trilogy in this all consuming, heart-pounding series is wrapping up to be Lorraine’s finest. Sinful Princess has been another sinfully, sweet book that I couldn’t put down. Alex has been worth the wait.

Sinful Princess is full of nostalgic moments. I honestly couldn’t imagine any other Knight recalling stories with love, humor, and a touch of humility like Alex has. They way he regales Evie with stories of the past year of his brothers and how they have all found their loves completely warmed my heart. It’s what made his trilogy the cherry on top of an already great series. The walk down memory lane was bittersweet, but also fantastically sweet as it truly displays how much love Alex has for his family and how much love he has inside for the right woman, which just so happens to be the one spending time with him. This book while had very tense moments, also made me ooohy-gooey inside. Evie and Alex make so much sense and I want everything to work, just the way Theo projects. Yes, that’s right…Theo has somehow become Mr. Romance, just don’t tell Emmie. 😉

There is no denying that of all the Knights Alex is the sunshiny light of the group, but his secrets hold him to the dark side. His internal strife over those secrets lead to some sad and difficult times. So while I adored all of the lovey-dovey, super hot stuff in the middle it is sandwiched in between some heavy, heart-pounding, and dicey moments.

There is only one book left and this book left us with quite the cliffhanger. I’m not sure how everything will turn out so I’m crossing fingers and toes that it will and Evie and Alex find their HEA.

Angsty, suspenseful, and full of keep-me-on-the-edge moments, the final book in this dark trilogy did not disappoint.

I was already in love with August and Atticus and how deeply they loved and cherished Christine, but Leo, that boy…ugh, he sure knows how to play with the heart of his queen. It isn’t vindictive, or for spite, Leo is just conflicted. A man torn because of his love for Christine and his deep rooted morals, he constantly goes back and forth on the rightness of what he’s feeling with Christine and sharing her with two other men.

Honestly, as much as I wanted to punch him, I actually loved his internal conflict. To go even further, I really loved each man’s reason for loving Christine, as it all comes out when things begin to disintegrate and they all go morose thinking they aren’t good enough. What’s even better, is when Christine gives her men grief for being sad sobs. I totally pictured Edna Mode from the Incredibles slapping each guy and telling them to, “Get yourself together” LOL. Instead it was Christine doing it in her own way as she is tough, strong, and fights for what she wants through this entire trilogy, and I totally love her.

Fighting for what you want is never easy, especially when it goes against the grain. The love between August, Atticus, Leo and Christine is hard fought through this entire trilogy, but well worth it. All the fights, deceit, love, passion, secrets, and lots of angst that wound their way through this great trilogy. . . I’m going to miss it.

This is an age gap, stalker romance with a secret society trope wrapped up in lots of darkness all in a twisted little bow.

Iris Bennington picks up a stalker in Soren Grant, a billionaire who turns into her professor. Soren basically begins fulfilling her wishes, although there is a lot that leads into how he fulfills these wishes that lets us know this man is not quite all together upstairs, if you get my drift, but basically it all boils down to he’s just super obsessed. From the moment he sees her he was all in and the question I had was, should he really be obsessing over a college student when he’s a billionaire CEO? The answer to that was…well, I’ll let you decide because I’m sure it’s all part of his unhinged factor.

Okay, I’m getting ahead of myself…but as I read the book and finished the book, I was still left with a lot of unresolved questions. Yes, I realize this is a duet, but the suspenseful plot wasn’t the issue, that part is actually what still kept me reading. It actually was the relationship between Iris and Soren that I was hoping to have more spark and…their chemistry was just off. One moment Iris thought Soren was a total creep and the next she was swooning as they jumped into things at lightning speed…there was no build up and it just threw me, personally.

While this is a big reason for the 3.5 overall star rating I also had a hard time with so much internal dialogue. This isn’t an accurate account by any means, but I swear their internal monologuing took up about 95% of the book and without conversations or characters interacting with other people, my mind started to wander. While this is all personal reading preference and doesn’t reflect on the author’s talent, it did leave my mind time to think about those questions and reflections that had nothing to do with the author’s voice. Please remember this review is my personal opinion and my reading preference on an author’s voice should not sway your reading choices on who to read.

There were so many unique and dark facets to his character that I loved unraveling and I can’t wait to dig even deeper as this storyline progresses.

Maddox is the shiny, take home to meet your parents, guy and this is the boy that Riley gravitates towards in the light, even when her dark side reaches out for Ridge in the dark. I also have a feeling of, don’t let Maddox’s pretty boy shine fool you, that we’ve only scratched the surface with him and I can’t wait to find out more of his backstory, especially since he seems like the stabilizer between Ridge and Lev.

Now Lev…this book just scratches the surface and OMG…he’s one scary dude. If you thought Neo was the ultimate big, bad nightmare…Lev has nothing on him. Lev is apathetic and cruel a combination that gave me chills every single time he interacted with Riley. There is a story behind why he is the way he is and I can’t wait to crack him open and find out that very reason, bring on the goosebumps.

I couldn’t put this book down once I began and I now can’t wait to dive back in for more. This is a very dark book, but I loved where the story went, just be prepared if those triggers aren’t your jam.

I was once again hooked and drawn in to this fascinating world built by Rina Kent and found it extremely hard to put down in the late night hours even knowing I had to get at least a couple hours sleep before waking up to go to work….boooo for work!! LOL!

Sasha and Kirill’s relationship was torn after Russia. How do you build trust after destroying it in the worst way possible? It’s nearly impossible, but no one said that Sasha or Kirill were quitters. They are two of the most driven, insanely focused, and hard headed characters Rina’s written to date. Personally, I love that both of them have these characteristics because it creates intense volcanic emotions that result in high heat reactions on the page. It obviously makes for electrifying reading and a couple that, no matter how morally gray they are, I’m rooting for them.

Rina Kent is a one click author for me because her writing is always top notch. She captures the best emotions, whether they are right or wrong or somewhere in between. As the reader, I always feel everything the character is feeling. It clearly makes her books a page turning obsession for me, since I get so sucked in I lose all sense of time and space, hence the lack of sleep, but it’s totally worth it!!

Lies of My Monster is another Rina Kent best. It’s a high stakes, angsty ride, with a jaw dropping cliffhanger book! Now, I can’t wait to jump back in and finish this trilogy to find out how everything comes together in the finale. I need answers and I know Rina will deliver. I’m anxiously excited.

We have arrived at the final trilogy of this series and Lorraine has saved the best for last!!

I felt like Sally in When Harry Met Sally shouting, “Yes, yes, oh god, yes!” Sinful Knight is absolutely the best. It’s wicked, it’s positively sinful, but it’s also sweetly innocent. That is both Alex and Evie in a nutshell. Their relationship is complicated at best, but also everything that this fan could have hoped for when it came to the last man standing.

Alex and Evie are two similar people from very different backgrounds. I loved getting to know more about Alex and what his role is within the family organization vs. his outward sometimes goofy persona. Then we have Evie and how she may come from a different world, but how she presents herself quite differently from what she allows those close to her to see. She’s a devil’s angel, the perfect combo for our Alex.

The story is a great tangled web of how these two could work with desperately wanting them to work, which made the reading fly by and then having my heart shatter when I reached the cliffhanging end. I can’t wait to dive back in for more.

For two blue bloods, Walker and Jasmine, are caught in their own web when it comes to The Order of the Silver Ghost. Neither of them want to necessarily be among the debauchery, but neither of them want to quit either. They are among the top of their social circle, never let them see you sweat, so backing out is just not heard of.

What I liked about this final book in the Breaking Belles series, is that it picks up towards the end of Walkers trial. With every other book in this series, it began with all the pomp and circumstance of picking a belle and some of the monotony of hanging around the large estate waiting to see what horrible task would be asked of them next. With Walker and Jasmine we, as the reader, were thrown right into the mix and this time it really does help to have a background in the series leading into this book. It really kept the book moving so I really liked jumping right in since we’ve lived the beginning with the other couples, but that is my own personal preference.

In this book we also get a new belle. Jasmine is an entirely different breed all together. She is Sullivan’s sister, a blue blood herself, and should never have been a belle, but she’s a bit of a rebel by night and debutant by day. Her fiery spirit is different in a whole new way, but was very fitting for this particular book.

Lavish Corruption kept this storyline fresh, while still keeping with the theme of the perverse trials within this secret society going. However, while breaking free from many of the traditions set up to this point, this final book was a perfect way to end this lushly rich and decadent series.

Synopsis:
Good girls don’t break rules—but for one night with him, any risk was worth it.

Walker St. Claire is my older brother’s best friend and strictly off limits. Especially while he’s an Initiate during his Trials to gain entrance to the secret society.

If there was a true player among the three men vying for Christine’s affection it would be Atticus, but please let me clarify the term player in my sentence before continuing. Atticus, or Dadicus as he’s becoming fondly known among readers, is a master chess player. He’s been moving people into place for years. Manipulating his way into the right position to be exactly where he currently is; by Christine’s side. A true king to sit by his queen. He’s only done everything in his life to end up by her side…sigh…has it all been on the up and up…eh…let’s not look at his underbelly, but aren’t antiheros extra delicious?

I loved getting into the mind of Atticus. He was brilliant on how he handled August in his grief and despair. He’s been excellent on how to tackle Leo and his hesitancy regarding Christine. Atticus is the perfect center in their man triangle and the perfect grounding point for Christine. He sees her for all of her perfection and all of her darkness. He just accepts her, always has and always will.

And speaking of a man triangle, will they, won’t they? You’ll have to read and find out for yourself how hot Coralee sizzles this quadrouple? What is the term for four people in a relationship? Anyway….

Yes, the plot moves forward along with their harem relationship, with lots of spice and hotness splashed throughout. This is only book two so there is still more story to unfold with hanging questions to the big cliffhanger that we all need answers to like right now!!

What a mind trip!! Boldt’s romantic intrigue and supernatural mashup plots are insanely good and A Stop In Time flipped me upside down with all of the mind blowing moments.

I love entering the worlds that Boldt has created in the past few years, the heroines are bold, bright, and completely kickass. She writes these take charge women who never wait to be rescued, but instead, by the pure definition alone, should be the hero, but each of these books run in the morally gray area…so hero, anti-hero…any way you slice it…I love everything about these worlds, the characters, and how the plots all fit together. Her books are addictive and A Stop In Time is another hit!!

Mac, Mackenzie, Ford has been alone for a long time. Her walls are so high and so thick, it’s made her snark and sass super strong (I loved Mac’s snark…oh my it was fantastic!!) to survive the small town she lives in. Why is she alone? The left side of her body is scarred from a accident and she works in a predominantly male dominated job, but after a life of feeling ostracized she actually prefers being alone, it’s easier. It’s easier until one man turns her world upside down.

When Daniel Madrano rolls into town asking questions and looking for a guy named Mac, he never pictured a beautiful, strong woman who gave just as much as he could. Especially one who could stop time. Yeah, that part freaked him out for just a moment, but if he hadn’t already met Georgia, Bronson’s woman who had unique abilities of her own, Mac’s time stopping skills would have shocked him more. The part that did amaze him was the connection he felt, the instant sort of bond that drew him to her, one he’d never felt with anyone before and that scared him more than anything.

These two together are, for lack of a better term, magic. The pure sass that Mac gives Daniel, or as she calls him over and over again, Danny, just to get under his skin, is brilliant. Even when she finds out that he’s a known gang member, a dangerous man, she never lets up. Her strength, determination is one of the best things I loved about the book, and a very close second was Daniel’s tenacity and love for those he holds close.

There were so many great twists to this story and while this book stands completely on its own, reading Beyond My Darkness may give some insight and background into where Daniel comes from and the other characters in his life.

I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)

We have two boys we’re doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman.

I have a master’s degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there’s usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.

If I’m not writing; I’m reading.

My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I’m reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it’s gotten me exactly where I need to be!)

I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.
