Series: Hot Scots In Kilts
Release Date: May 20, 2023
BLURB
I wasn’t supposed to fall for my sister’s wedding planner.

But a hot Scot who always wore a kilt – and wasn’t into women?

Yeah, that had my name written all over it.

Why, you ask?

Oh, because I always go for the wrong kind of guy.

But then he started acting all flirty, and a late night of menu planning, coupled with an unexpected kilt mishap…let’s just say, the lifelong mystery of what a Scot wears beneath his kilt…solved.

Hey, why can’t a strait-laced financial advisor have a little kilt free—err I mean guilt free—fun?

Let me tell you why.

Because he was sweet and kind, protective and supportive, and my stupid heart got involved.

But then I discovered the hot Scot wasn’t at all who I thought he was, and that sometimes, sadly, the bridesmaid can’t have her cake and eat it too…

Review:
All the quirks, accents, and adorable phrases made me giggle and swoon. It’s a lovely romcom, full of steam, with all the best intentions that of course could go wrong in all the best ways that I love in a romantic comedy.

When Gavan’s cousin, Finn, leaves to go on vacation he asks said cousin to handle his business while he’s away. Once Gavan colors his hair orange, leans a bit more into his Scottish accent, and wears a kilt, because isn’t that what everyone does in Scotland…not exactly, but it’s what one does for family when they ask…at least that’s what Gavan keeps telling himself.

You see, Finn just so happens to be one of the best event planners in the Boston area, notably gay, but also leaves the ladies wondering what he’s wearing – or not wearing – under his kilt while conducting business. It does seem to make his business run that much better. Much to Gavan’s annoyance of wearing said kilt.

Gavan may be Finn’s cousin, but they are so much more like brothers. So when Finn asks for this favor, Gavan’s basically stuck, even with the outlandish requests, he can’t say no. Although once he meets the bride’s sister,Luce, and spends time with her, the more Gavan regrets taking on the persona of his cousin. He hates lying, hates the charade of filling in for his cousin. He wants Luce to know him for himself, not what his cousin has achieved.

Now Luce, she’s quite the mystery. She is stuck planning her sister’s wedding while she also works full time for the family business and she also moonlights as a chef, something her family doesn’t know about. She’s gentle and kind where the rest of her socialite family is just not.

While planning her sister’s wedding, which both Gavan and her agree is just odd that the bride isn’t involved in, but she and Gavan do enjoy spending time together, so the trade off is in their favor and the more time that goes along, the more they crave it.

Luce hasn’t had the best of luck with men in the past, so she’s sort of sworn off of daring. Can you just imagine when she stumbles upon Gavan’s charade…poor Luce, her poor track record is going to take a hit, but can these two survive…something tells me that even with the odds stacked against them, well, I was still fighting for them.

The loved the premise of this book and so many parts of it were really great. There were other parts that didn’t quite hit the five star mark for me and I don’t even know how to pinpoint what that was. I love Cathryn’s books and I love her writing, so it could have been just as simple as it being an off day for me when I read it. That being said, this is still a very solid 4.5 read.

Title: Crazy Apologetic Canadians
Author: Cathryn Fox
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Tropes: Grumpy-Sunshine/Small Town
Release Date: March 6, 2023
BLURB
“If you liked Crazy Rich Asians, you’re going to LOVE Crazy Apologetic Canadians!”
I take one look at the grumpy Brit and know I’m in trouble. Not because he’s in Nova Scotia to tear down our beloved amusement park. Or because he wants to build an elite school on the lush property.
No, I’m in trouble because Colin Parker is superlicious – despite the stick up his British bum.
You see, I’m a free-spirited girl who knows her way around a lobster boat. He’s a rule follower who knows his way around a boardroom. Can you say polar opposites?
Oh, did I mention his mother is back in England planning his marriage? The sexy Brit with a debutante makes sense, right?
You know what doesn’t make sense? The two of us between the sheets and a montage of fun activities that finally put a smile on his face. But when the montage ends, and life turns messy and complicated—yet we still manage to find common ground—it leads me to believe we’re not so different after all.
Until he does the one thing that proves me wrong and I’m forced to make a decision I thought I’d never have to make.

“You can take the front. Sounds like you two have a lot of catching up to do, and I’d like to check my emails,” he replies.
“Suit yourself.” Emily flips the seat forward, and gestures for him to climb into the back. He puts one leg onto the floor of the back seat, pushes forward and grunts. I’m about to circle the car, but notice he’s not moving, or grunting. I’m not even sure he’s breathing. Great, I think we’ve killed him. We certainly have the motive. As I glance around, and contemplate on how to hide, or even move, the body, a loud groan reverberates through the near empty parking garage.
“Violet.”
“Yeah.”
“I’m…stuck.”
I admire his perfect ass, wedged between the back seat and the frame of my car. “Um, do you want me to push?”
“I think maybe you should pull.”
I take in the angle of his body and consider the logistics. “What do you want me to pull?” Emily chuckles beside me and I nudge her with my elbow. “Stop it.”
“Ow,” she complains.
I glare at her. “You’re not helping.”
She snaps her gum, enjoying this entirely too much. “What am I supposed to do?”
“I don’t know. Go around the other side and push on his head.”
“I thought that’s what he wanted you to pull.”
“Ohmigod!” She grins, clearly proud of her quick-witted sexual innuendo. “Do you want to walk home?”
The car rocks as he tries to free himself, and I pray to God he hasn’t heard Emily, or think in any way that I want to pull his…anything.
Emily drops her gum back into her purse. “Fine.”
She circles the car, and I step up to him. “I’m going to put my hands on your hips and pull, okay?”
“Yes, I believe that will work.”
Pity once again hits me. The man is obviously embarrassed. The British are so stiff—do not think about head and stiff.
Dammit, I’m thinking about it.
Let me try that again. The British are stoic and reserved, and this must be mortifying. Then again, maybe he’s none of those things. People have misconceptions about Canadians too. Yeah, okay, it’s true. We’re ridiculously nice and overly apologetic. Sue me.
As he struggles, I take a fast second and consider drawing this out, letting him wallow in his embarrassment. I mean he is here to destroy our town, but because I only have one mean bone in my body—you did just hear me say we were ridiculously nice right—and I might need to use it later, I put my hand on his sides, and brace my pelvis against his rear.
Oh my.
I glance over my shoulder and pray no one is watching. The last thing I want to be accused of is bum-fucking some Brit in the back of my car. I’m not looking to cause an international incident here. I suppose I could just tell them I’m trying to remove a stick that’s lodged deep. That’s more believable, anyway.

Review/Synopsis:

Review:
Crazy Apologetic Canadians is the funniest book I’ve had the pleasure of reading.
It was exactly the book I needed for the reading slump I’d fallen into as it lifted my spirits, made my day feel brighter, and all of the fun inside spilled out to make my day feel soooo much better.

Colin Parker arrives in Canada a stuffy, grumpy Brit who is literally the complete opposite of the snarky, happy-go-lucky Canadian, Violet. Colin is there to complete a job for his family’s foundation, but the small town of Annapolis does everything they can to keep him from completing his task. Violet plays the peacekeeper, for the most part, between the town’s people and Colin, since she understands Colin is only there to do his job, even if she doesn’t particularly like it herself.

While Colin is stuck in a holding pattern and Violet plays hostess, Colin gets to know Canada a little better and it also seems to loosen the stick from his behind that he arrived with. It probably helps that his hostess is the vibrant Violet, even when Canadian phases throw him, but are delightfully funny. The time away from his stuffy life and his castle…that’s right Colin lives in a drafty castle, however, don’t call him a prince, he is anything but charming, it all seems a little crazy, but in the end it really does a man good.

The entire book is great fun, full of witty banter, quirky characters, and page turning plot. Colin and Violet made my cheeks hurt with all of the chuckling and giggling I did throughout the entire book. Reading their story was like watching my favorite sitcom, except it was a million times better! I chuckled from start to finish and my love for Colin and Violet only grew as the story progressed. This is one romcom not to be missed!!

Review:
Ryan and Alysha might just top my favorite couple in this series!! I was not expecting Ryan to be so gosh darn sweet, but holy moly…that boy is off the charts amazing!!

This couple connected on every possible level between their silly humor, chemistry, future ambitions, down to earth sensibilities, they just plain clicked and it made the story fly by.

Alysha goes home with Ryan during the Christmas holiday, avoiding her parents and boyfriend was a major factor, but also because she hurt her ankle and traveling the long distance home was nearly impossible.

While Alysha’s always been attracted to Ryan, she’s never acted on it, she’s had a long time boyfriend and has always been faithful. That is until he makes an ultimatum; come home for Christmas or else they are through. She takes the ultimatum and for the first time in her life feels free. That should tell her something right there, especially when her next impulse is to give into her long time feelings for Ryan and they embark on a holiday fling. You go girl!!

Ryan’s love for his family, his hometown, and pride for where he comes from is magnetic and it’s no wonder Alysha falls so easily. The hard part is making him believe in the magic of himself when it comes to something long term with Alysha, but Christmas is right around the corner and wishes happen….right?

Alysha and Ryan just shine on the page making this a truly feel good story that happens to be coming out at the perfect time for the holidays.

Review:
A sweet, steamy, friends-to-lovers romance.

I was not expecting Daisy to have such a twist in this story, considering she has been a secondary character since the first book. While she has been “one of the guys” and plays hockey, she was a sweet surprise.

Now Brandon, he also had a surprise of his own, and OMG, he’s a total shocker given his current background of pursuing hockey and the NHL draft. I loved his secret and that Daisy was all in on helping him work out his issues, while simultaneously working on hers.

Why am I not giving these story secrets away? Because they are just tooooooo good!! They give the book ALL the wonderful moments that need to be experienced by the reader and I really don’t want to give them away, but in the meantime, know this…

Brandon and Daisy grew up together and have been friends basically forever. While Daisy has pretty much been love with Brandon for as long as she can remember, Brandon friendzoned her years ago. Daisy was truly one of the boys, until she suddenly wasn’t and that is when everything changes.

Home Advantage is a bit of a slow awakening, at least on Brandon’s part, but once his eyes are opened this book is super steamy and this couple is all in, at least for their fake dating. Anything real…is that really possible for two best friends?

I loved this addition to the Scotia Storms series and to see Daisy get her HEA.

Synopsis:
Brandon Cannon.

A rising hockey star with a future he might not want.

My best friend since childhood—the guy I could always count on.

He could rely on me too, the girl he’ll forever see as a tomboy.

Which is why he asked me to be his wingman to get the girl he wanted.

But what he doesn’t know—can never know—is that I’ve been in love with him for as long as I can remember, and I know things about him, things he doesn’t want anyone to know.

Including me.

We escape to his cottage together, where I school the well-known player in the art of dating.

What I hadn’t expected was for him to teach me a thing or two—behind closed door.

His every touch drew me in deeper, until I was drowning in him.

Now, I can only hope he’ll see that the girl he wants might not be the one he needs—because I’m the only woman who knows who he really is and can help him re-write his future.

But what if he doesn’t?

What will become of me—us—if my very best friend, the man I love, walks away with my heart?

Review:
All I want to say is days of the week underpants. Review done. LOL! Okay…seriously, I can’t remember the last time I recall thinking of this particular item, much less wearing them, but now I really want to own a set just to see if the hubby pays as much attention as Beckett does to Piper. Who knew days of the week underpants would be sooooo hot!?!?!

I love reading characters who are so similar when it comes to morals they are practically the same person, but when it comes to what society deems as important, like financial or social standing, you are judged on a very different scale. Let me explain…

Piper and Beckett come from very different backgrounds. She would be considered a spoiled princess, raised with any and everything she could ever want, except for having her parents actual love and affection. As an only child to millionaires she literally can have what she wants, but it’s a lonely life when your parents are running a business and have no time left for you.

Now, Beckett’s family is blue collar, large, but full of so much love he knows no matter what he will always have them to fall back on. His siblings, grandparents, parents, they all live close by and even with his dreams of making it to the NHL, he wants to take care of his family so they won’t have to work as hard since they did so much to help him get where he is. He has a huge heart, oh and a side note, he’s also great with kids…pile of mush and be still my heart.

Even though they were raised in very different environments, they actually are very hard workers, care deeply about their families, and are loyal to those they care about. They just haven’t cared about each other for a very long time and it all comes down to a big misunderstanding, oh and add in the fact that Beckett is a family kind of guy and Piper…well, she’s not.

These two enemies to lovers eventually learn to coexist and when they discover that their old friendship hasn’t withered away, but instead formed into a new passion…well, I’ll just say, those days of the week panties make an appearance. I know I just won’t let it go will I?

Their story is sweet and insanely spicy. It certainly inspired me to look up new undergarments is all I’m saying. I have loved this entire series and how each book is different, but set in the same world. I can’t get enough of Fox’s books.

“You drive a truck?”
“You can take the boy out of the farm, but you can’t take the farm out of the boy. Come on, let me drive you the rest of the way.”
She hesitates for a brief second. “It’s not that far.”
“You’re not the one lugging this thing around,” I tease and lift her guitar.
She grins. “I’m quite capable of carrying my own guitar.”
“I have no doubt,” I say and mean it. I get the sense that Kennedy is the kind of girl who takes care of herself and everyone around her. “But come on, hop in.”
She nods and we walk to my truck. I click my fob to unlock the doors and place her guitar on the back bench seat. She slides into the front, and I circle the vehicle and get into the driver’s seat.
“Ohmigod, Matt,” she shrieks and picks a pair of my boxer shorts up off the floor, holds them up using two fingers, wrinkles her nose and asks. “Do I want to know?” I snatch them from her and toss them into the back. “Is your room this bad? Was Daisy right?”
“No and no and no.” She blinks and one eye half closes as she tries to piece that together. “You probably don’t want to know, but I’m going to tell you.” I start the truck and back out of my spot. “They probably fell out of my hockey bag after our Wednesday night game in Cape Breton. No, my room isn’t that bad.” I toss her an apologetic look, because it’s not that good either. “And no, Daisy was not right. Daisy is never right.” She’s still giving me the side eye as I pull onto the road. “What?” I ask.
“Nothing.”
“Are you telling me I won’t find your panties in the passenger seat of your car? Like it’s not a thing?”

Review Rating: 5 Gold Stars

Review/Synopsis:

Review:
Warm Up is sweetly endearing and full of all the warm, buttery, never-want-to-stop-reading feels.

Matt has only ever had one purpose in life, hockey. He’s never had to focus on anything or anyone else, but as he’s reaching the end of his college career and the NHL life is looming, all the shallowness of having nothing else or noone else to worry about is beginning to settle within him, and well…the deeper waters of life begin to look less scary. When Matt meets Kennedy he’s instantly hooked and it really hits him that he might not exactly be prepared for her and all of her life experiences, but for the first time in his life he’d actually like to try.

Kennedy is a single mother, going to school and has two jobs that barely make ends meet. She definitely doesn’t have time to date, but perhaps a little one on one action with a hot hockey player would sooth the itch. When Matt walks into her life she thinks she might have found a solution to solve one of her problems. It’s been way too long and she knows all about his reputation so it should be easy to walk away, except when it isn’t. Matt ends up being way deeper than she initially thought and the moment he meets her daughter…ovary explosion!

Matt and Kennedy shine and radiate when they are around one another. Neither of them are relationship gurus, but their intimacy and sweetness roll off the pages and they become better versions of themselves by being together. That is what love does. It is the small moments that all bundle into a lifetime of big ones. It’s the fact that someone makes your life better just by being in your presence and Warm Up is one of those stories that made me warm up from the inside just by reading it.

I force my eyes back on the road—even though I want to keep looking at her longer. How could I have thought she was a guy. From my peripheral vision, I catch the way she fans out her long hair before she ties it into a ponytail. She unzips her coat, and I take in a big sweater that hugs her breasts. She groans as she tugs at her pants.
“Soaked?” I ask.
“Yeah, and all my clothes are in my suitcase, and we know where my suitcase is.” Her shoulders sag. “Although I don’t think I have any use for a bikini anymore. But we could be stranded for days, and I don’t have a change of clothes.”
Oh shit, now I’m envisioning her in a bikini.
Concentrate on the road, Chase.
She goes quiet for a moment and stares out the window, deep in thought. What is going through her mind? After a moment, a laugh bubbles out of her, and under her breath she murmurs, “At least I’m in clean underwear.”
What the hell?
My throat makes a gurgling sound as I force my thoughts on the road, and not what she’s wearing beneath those tight jeans.
Her eyes go wide, and that’s when I see her innocence. I let my gaze roam over her face for another split second. There’s something very different about her. I think she’s giving off a girl-next-door wholesome vibe. At least, this is what I think innocence looks like. I don’t see much of it in the puck bunnies who watch us from the bleachers and chase us down after a game.
“Oh, sorry. I don’t know why I said that. I guess, it’s just…something my mom used to say.” She laughs but it’s forced. “Always wear clean underwear in case you’re in an accident.” She shakes her head, like she’s flustered. “I mean, I always wear clean underwear. I wasn’t suggesting I didn’t.”
“Oh, sure yeah. I didn’t think that at all. I wear clean underwear too.”
Why the hell did I say that? Oh, maybe to make this exchange just a little less awkward.
“Oh, God,” she mumbles, and shakes her head. While I think she looks adorable, it appears like she wants to jump out of my moving vehicle and run all the way to the motel—or Siberia. She points to her head. “And clearly I’m still suffering from a frozen brain and have no idea what I’m saying.”
My gaze sways her way and I glance down at her tight jeans. Jesus, I wish she’d stop rambling on about her underwear, because now I can’t stop thinking about what they might look like on her body, or better yet…off.
Isn’t this day just getting better and better?
Why yes, yes, it is…

Review:
Pure sweet fun, and filthy perfection!!

Sawyer and Chase meet during a snowstorm and get snowed in together, but it’s pure chance that Chase sees Sawyer stranded along a snowy highway and stops to help her.
He was on his way to visit a new school for a potential hockey transfer, but the snow was so thick after he picked up Sawyer they barely made it to the nearest motel and had to stop or chance getting stranded together out in the cold. At least in the motel they have shelter and food and together they spend several days snowed in along with several other guests, but it isn’t spent in boredom. The adventures during their snowy time spent together are sweet and fun and down right steamy. I couldn’t put this book down for even one moment.

There is an instant connection between Sawyer and Chase, even as they ride in the car up to the motel. That connection doesn’t stop even once. While they both don’t give each other their last names, for their own reasons, they enjoyed each other’s company more than they ever have with anyone else’s. Having nothing to do, no pressure, no complications, basically nothing but time really opened up the opportunity for them to get to know one another and truly have some fun. It was dating at the most basic level without all the pressure or pomp and circumstance.

Then when you get them between the sheets….fanning myself….wowza!! They had a sensual banter between them on top of just being sizzling hot, it truly made for delightful reading and the need for fresh panties after every smexy moment.

SYNOPSIS

A regimented life on the track is the reason I’m a Kingston College scholarship student.

But a wayward football—thrown by Christian Moore, the rich guy who ruined my reputation in high school—threatened to rob me of my future.

Desperation drove me to do something foolish.

Something that put my body in the hands of the guy I hate.

I didn’t want to like his touches. I didn’t want to crave him.

But everything in the way he devoured me turned me inside out and made me forget this was just a game.

Now I fear he’s going to ruin me again…in ways there will be no coming back from.

Review/Synopsis:

Review:

From the beginning I was mesmerized by this couple. Christian and Maize are both powerful, stubborn, young adults, but they blazed with a passion that kept me turning the pages long into the night.

Christian and Maize have a history dating back to high school and not a good history at that. Even though they’ve been attending the same college for the past four years they have been able to avoid one another until Christian’s football injures Maize.

The story weaves together so beautifully and also sinfully…cause whew…the  steamy times were A.Ma.Zing!! There is almost nothing better than hawt, and I’m talking hawt bedroom times, mixed in with a little giggling and sweet emotion. Christian and Maize brought it all and I was there for every moment.

These two both admit they are stubborn and work hard to get what they want. From the very beginning they both admit that neither want a relationship and continue to circle back to this point throughout the book, even when they might be feeling something more. Let me bring up that stubborn point again. I love how hard they try not to fall for each other, while doing that very thing.

Fall in love with this smexy couple and turn pages late into the night like I did. It’s totally worth it!

SYNOPSIS

Landon Brooks.

The ultimate bad boy every girl wants.

His world at Kinston College is full of parties, booze and sex. The opposite of mine.

I’m the quiet twin he never knew existed, until he heard a lie—I hated him.

Maybe that’s why he pursued me—why I became his obsession. It’s all about the chase, right?

I can’t deny that I like the attention. That my body burns for him. I shouldn’t crave him. I hate that I do. We don’t belong together.

That should have been enough to stop me from sneaking into his room, from teasing a thirst I just can’t quench…because once the hunt is over, it’s ALL over.

Unless he never knew it was me…

EXCERPT

I stand at my door listening, waiting for him to make it downstairs, and then quietly open it. Keeping the lights off, I make my way down in the dark. I step outside and take a big breath of night air, letting it soothe the anxiety inside me. I peer into the dark, and can make out Landon’s shape out near the barn. I head toward him, the night sky bright with stars.

“Hey,” I say when I reach him. I can’t quite see his face in the dark, but can hear the stress in his voice when he says hello. “You want to go for a walk?”

“Sure.”

Grass and hay crunch beneath our feet as we head out into the orchard. A comfortable quiet surrounds us as we walk, both lost in our own thoughts. Finally I break the quiet and say, “Most of the trees are picked clean by now, but a few of the later apples are still on them. Want to go grab one?”

“Sure,” he says and I chuckle. “What?”

“That seems to be your word of the night. What happened to that great vocabulary of yours?”

Our knuckles brush, and I can almost feel him relax beside me. “Just a little lost for words tonight,” he says and I nod in the dark, even though he can’t see me.

“Come on,” I urge, and take his hand, sensing he needs a reprieve from reality, if only for a little while. “Let’s go do something fun.”

“Fun is good.”

We walk and walk and walk, until we reach our neighbor’s farm. I put my hand to my lips to make sure he stays quiet. “Where are we?” he asks in a whispered voice. I take my phone out and put on my flashlight app. I shine it on the corn stalk maze.

“My neighbors set this up every year for the kids.”

“It’s a maze?” he asks.

“Yeah, want to do it?”

He scratches his head and when I shine the light on him, he says, “Can you turn that off?” He used those exact words when I shone the light on him in his bedroom that first night, the night that feels like it happened so long ago.

“Sorry,” I apologize and turn it off. I run into the maze and he curses under his breath as he follows behind me.

“Where the hell are you?” he asks, and I run, loving the wind in my face, and just wanting to be twelve again, no worries, no hurt…

“Marco,” he calls out and I laugh.

“Polo,” I say and run around the stalks, coming to a dead end. I turn and take the right when I spot his shadow in the distance.

“Marco.”

His voice is close, and I keep running. When I get to a safe distance away, I whisper, “Polo.” I can’t stop the chuckle in my throat. It rises up and gives away my location as I try to get past him. He reaches out and snatches me by the waist.

“Got you,” he says, and tugs me to him. The chuckle dies on my lips as his heat reaches out to me, the space between us filling with want, need, and volatile energy.

“Ella,” he whispers in the dark, and I wet my lips, wanting his mouth on mine.

“Yeah?”

He pushes my hair back, and tucks it behind my ears and my entire body tingles, from the top of my head to the tips of my toes. His finger lingers near my ear, and trail down along my neck. His touch is like fire on my skin as I pull in a fast breath. A noise sounds in the distance, an animal scurrying in the night, but we continue to stand there, face to face, our bodies close, aligned perfectly. Before I can think better of it, I put my hands on his shoulders, just for one second—one last time—wanting to feel him.

He leans into me, and his warm breath washes over my face. I wish I could see his eyes.  But I’m being selfish, taking what isn’t mine even though it seems to be what we both want. Sometimes life just isn’t fair. I drop my hands, and step into him, pressing my face against his heart. His hands close around me, like he too knows we can’t do this. In the dark of the night we stand there, two lost souls.

Review:

This is no ordinary love triangle…can you say twins? The twists and turns that this story took had me intrigued, but also with my mouth on the floor multiple times. The shocked meme was totally me!

Within the first chapter I thought I knew where this book was headed and I thought I had the characters all figured out…well…you know what they say about assuming. I’ll just leave that thought there and move on.

Fair Play took me on a ride I didn’t expect and it was a journey that I thoroughly enjoyed along the way. Ella and Landon’s happy ending wasn’t easy to achieve…did you see my beginning sentence…yeah it’s a whole debacle that creates quite a mess, but who ever said life is fair or that something that comes easy is worth receiving.

Ella has a twin sister, Ivy, and they don’t necessarily run in the same circles. Ivy is a cheerleader and in a sorority where as Ella is quite the opposite, the sister in the shadows and into cinematography. Basically the guys on the football team don’t even know Ivy has a sister, much less a twin sister, until Ella is hired to film the football team footage her senior year.

Landon happens to notice Ella even though Ella doesn’t do anything to garner attention except be herself. Here in also lies the big differences between the sisters, Ella is sweetly charming, but also honest where it counts, where as Ivy is bold and basically mean girl hurtful. Landon is reaching a point in his college days where he’s able to admit to himself that a girl like Ivy used to turn his head freshman year, but someone like Ella is more his speed now that he knows what his end goal is going to be, the NFL. However, both girls gain his attention in one night and this lands Landon in one giant mess.

This is my first Cathryn Fox book and between friends, family, and all the drama, this journey is worth reading, especially if you love angsty, new adult books, which I happen to LOVE!
