This is just the first part of Ethan, Zayne, and Chloe’s story and it was intense, delicious, extremely filthy, and so darn good!!!

We get just the tip…of how Zayne and Ethan really come to know one another, and I know I’m dying to find out more of their intimate story, but this book focuses on Chloe and how she meets these enigmatic men and how they quickly become something more than just one night.

Ethan is super intense and Zayne is the playful one. They make quite a team, especially when they are together, balancing one another perfectly especially when it comes to servicing their third.

We meet Chloe, the daughter of three fathers and one protective brother, who is looking to escape their overbearing presence for at least one night and goes to a club with her cousin, Ethan and Zayne’s club as it turns out. She catches their eye and I’ll just say the rest is history, with a ton of steamy times rolled into that statement, but like I also said this is just book one.

We just get going with who each of these characters are and what will be revealed. I’m super excited to continue their journey as we get more story, plus…how is Chloe going to incorporate more men into her already overprotective male dominated world? I can’t wait!!

Imagine if the Hallmark channel had a slightly dirtier side…this is exactly where this book would fall. Once Upon a Sexy Scrooge has ALL the magic of the holiday season, but rubbed down with the dirty writing that I love reading from this writing duo.

Maxwell Scott has no love for Christmas. Zero, zilch, nada. He is the Grinch and Scrooge all rolled into one hot man. To nail that point home, right before Christmas he approaches Micah Noble and his family, who own a Christmas tree farm, about the deal to buy their land, but Maxwell doesn’t quite understand why they won’t sell. Did he miss the Christmas part of the whole thing? No, he really dislikes this holiday. Unluckily or perhaps luckily for him, he gets snowed in when he drives out for a visit and is then forced to enjoy Christmas with the Nobles. Maxwell might just discover what all that magic of the holiday is about, while meeting the perfect lumberjack of his dreams to boot.

Micah and Maxwell couldn’t be more different from one another, but that only made this book adorably funny while Max grouches around and Micah gets a twinkle in his eye about it. I’ll admit there were times that I wanted to smack the Scrooge right out of Max, but there were also times that I could sympathize with the Grinch that lived inside of him too. I think we all have those moments which made this book perfect for this time of year.

It’s a short, sweet with the right amount of spice, holiday book that will warm you all over.

Picking right up after Luca was nabbed and stuffed into a trunk…Dom is left reeling with how to feel, what to do, and who to go after?

Feelings change and grow in this second part of the duet. The scary mafia heir is…well, he’s still scary, but with Luca he is a different man. Let’s face it when you find YOUR person, those traits that might scare off someone else don’t really work on the person you are meant to be with.

Luca doesn’t shy away from Dom’s scary side, he pushes back and it’s those traits that Dom admires in him. In Dom’s world someone soft and a pushover wouldn’t survive and the fact that Luca is none of those things makes him the perfect partner, if only his world would accept a man by his side.

While these two grow and change it’s also heartbreaking while they discuss the real world issue of machismo. It’s a true and sad fact that bigotry is a very real and alive fact, especially in cultures such as theirs. I loved that Ella and Brooke didn’t shy away from this discussion, but also talked about it in a delicate manner.

A wonderful finish to this opposites attract book duet.

Everyone always wants a bad boy, but I want to state for the record that Ryan Carrigan is the best guy to have by your side. Whether it’s in a crisis, for daily organization, for loving hugs, for a sweet smile with his cute blush, and I have to throw out there he has the best trash talking competitive side which is totally speaking my language. Yes, Ryan is totally my pick hands down every day of the week, and I believe Jameson would agree with me.

Jameson needs Ryan’s loving side to offset the bad boy in him. He did not have an easy life growing up and as Jameson lets down his high built walls he realizes just how much he needs Ryan in his life. These two have a few bumps in the road before they reach their happily ever after, but I really loved watching Jameson open up his heart and Ryan truly shine as he fell deeper in love.

My favorite part of this book was when Jameson and Ryan had dinner with two other opposites attract couples, that also happened to be two of my favorite couples within this Chicago world. There must be something about a grouchy, stoic man falling for a happy, sunshiny guy that just does it for me.

A hot, sizzling start to an opposites attract romance.

Ryan has watched everyone around him fall in love. He’s so adorkably cute, so why can’t he find his dream man? From the very beginning the story is fantastic. Secrets and Lies is page turning, electric chemistry with taboo themes, but every page radiates a red hot  energy that burns right off the page!

Ryder and Ash meet at an art workshop and instantly hit it off. There is that instant spark, but also an insight into the personalities of these two men. Ryder at his core is tenacious, tenacious, tenacious. I have a daughter who is just like him, no filter and knows exactly what he wants, of course I loved that he knew there was nothing that was going to stop him from getting what he wanted and that was Ash.

Ash was drawn to Ryder from the moment he stepped into the workshop. Ash hasn’t felt that kind of spark, probably ever in his life. As much as he tries to deny it, he just can’t help the pull to the charismatic Ryder.

Neither could have guessed what would have happened the next day when Ryder started at a new school and Ash was standing at the head of the classroom.

Yes, the story is forbidden and should contain a ton of angst and it does, but Ryder’s lack of filter adds levity to most of the situations. Underlying every moment is the delicious sort of angst between them more than anything. It’s the…will they or won’t they…perfect forbidden kind of reading. Secrets and Lies is a one sit read, I know, I couldn’t put it down once I started.
