“Okay, so what’s the plan?”

Obviously, she was going to let him take the lead. Which was definitely how he preferred things. “First rule, we’re going to have to act very close. Like we’ve been close for a while.”

She nodded.

“Like we’ve been physically intimate,” he said to emphasize his point.

She nodded again, seemingly not fazed. “Obviously.”

“So we probably should go over some specifics.”

“Specifics like what?”

“Like that I need…your consent.” So that sounded awkward as fuck out loud.

But again, she barely hesitated. “You have it.”

“I haven’t even asked you for anything.”

She took a step closer. “Colin, I completely trust you. Whatever you need to do, I’m in. You have my consent to do anything.”

His body tightened in response to that. This was dangerous. Having this woman’s consent to do whatever he wanted to and with her was like a dream come true and a nightmare all rolled into one.

She. Was. A. Client.

He took a breath and attempted to pull his shit together. “Okay, that helps. You trusting me is really important. There might be moments where I can only give you instructions without explanation.”

“I get that,” she said. “I’ll cooperate.”

“And there might be times I have to just do something without any words at all. And…explain later.”

She nodded. “Got it.”

“So…is there anything you absolutely can’t tolerate? Any triggers? Phobias?”

She lifted her brows. “Give me an example.”

“Total darkness. Having your face covered. Certain smells. People touching your hair. Anything like that you can think of?”

Hayden was staring at him, but Colin could tell it was not in fear, but fascination. He was grateful that she seemed to be carefully considering what he’d asked. Finally, she shook her head. “I honestly can’t think of anything.”

“Are you allergic to anything?”

“No. Not that I’m aware of.”

“Is there anywhere you don’t want me to touch you?”

She didn’t even think about that one. “No.”

Again, his body reacted. He stubbornly focused on the conversation. “You’re sure? No spots that are off-limits? Anywhere you’re ticklish?”

“No. I mean, I’m a little ticklish. Like anyone. But there’s nowhere that I don’t want you to touch me.”

His pulse hammered in his veins. He moved in closer. She was going to have to get used to him being close to her. Very close. And this would help emphasize what he was asking about and help him gauge her reactions. He needed to be sure. She might be trying to spare his feelings, or she really might not be aware of things that might, in the moment, make her uncomfortable.

“I have to play your boyfriend tonight. Someone who knows you well and who’s been close to you. Naked with you. Who’s seen and touched and tasted you,” he said, letting his voice drop. It wasn’t intentional, but he didn’t fight it when his voice got husky. “If I touch you and you stiffen up, reflexively pull away, act skittish, and he’s watching, he’ll notice.”

She didn’t lean away. In fact, she stepped closer. “Colin, I honestly can’t think of a single place where you could touch me that I wouldn’t like it.”

Review:
Sweetness, steaminess, and that wonderful wrap me up in ooooieee gooooieee feelings. That is what reading Erin Nicholas brings everytime I open one of her books and I love it!!

This book kept hitting me in all the different feels and throwing me for a loop on which feeling it was going to wring out of me next. Oh my heart, it was sooooo good.

Colin Daly works in security and used to be the bodyguard to Saoirse, the daughter of Fiona and a real little princess, but with a change in circumstances Colin is looking for another long term security position and it might just be Hayden Ross, an up and coming singer who might be the next big thing. However, Colin’s desire for her could put a kink in that plan and not the kinky kind of kink.

Hayden Ross is the sweetest, kindest, and openly honest woman living on the planet. I adored her character and loved her not only with Colin but also with his entire crew. The brotherly bond between Colin, Henry, Jonah, and Cian was so sweet and fun, I loved how they all interacted with each other and more importantly with Hayden. It was the family bond she needed in her life.

There was some danger and mystery woven throughout this story…I mean Hayden does need a bodyguard to guard her body after all…but my favorite parts of the story always revolve around the deep emotions and the crying I constantly do right after fanning myself from the super steamy naked times.

Blog Tour – Bayou With Benefits by Erin Nicholas

Bayou with Benefits, an all-new nanny meets single dad small town romance featuring a hot firefighter from New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas is out now!

They are friends. Without benefits. Unfortunately.
Michael LeClaire is small-town Louisiana. A firefighter. A single dad.
And Amelia Landry is New York City. A social media influencer. A model.
Sure, she’s his son’s favorite person on the planet.
And yeah, their families spend so much time together it’s hard to remember who shares DNA and who just shares secrets, inside jokes, and a sincere lack of boundaries.
And okay, he’s seen her nerdy side. Her sweet side. Her funny, self-deprecating side.
Fine, yes, resisting this woman has taken a saint’s share of willpower.
But he has to. He just cannot do long-distance. And he can’t have a casual fling with someone he’s known–and will know–forever.
Thankfully, he only has to hide his feelings a few times a year when she visits.
And then, he slips. One time. One spontaneous I-knew-it-would-be-everything kiss and he’s a goner.
Now every time they see each other it’s harder and harder to ignore the heat.
And when she shows up on his doorstep after a car accident changes her entire life, there’s no way he can resist the chance to see if this can last…or if they’ll finally flame out.

“If you don’t want our sisters to think they’re right about everything, you have to quit looking at me like that.”

Michael LeClaire had three choices here.

He could pretend he had no idea what Amelia Landry was talking about, turn, smile nonchalantly, and try to have a normal, casual conversation with her.

That was going to be nearly impossible, of course. This was Ami. There was no being casual around her. He hadn’t been able to pull nonchalant off since he’d first seen her walk down the dock in a lime green bikini the summer she’d turned twenty. But then, eleven months ago, everything had changed and now…yeah, casual was completely off the table.

He’d known she’d be here. Of course. It was her sister’s wedding. She was a bridesmaid. He’d been preparing to see her. Still, it had been three months and the last time…leaving her at that airport had been so much harder than he’d expected. He didn’t think there’d be anything casual about the things he’d end up saying to her tonight if they talked alone.

His second option was setting something on fire so that he would have to don his fire gear and do something with his evening other than watch Ami in her off-the-shoulder peach-colored bridesmaid dress, laughing and dancing and looking fucking stunning while he struggled to remember why they were only friends. As he did every single time she stood too close to him.

The reasons were good. He knew that. The primary one being that she lived in fucking New York City and he lived in Autre, Louisiana and that would just never work out. He had a kid. He was the fire chief here. His entire family was here. He couldn’t move to New York—nor did he want to—and he couldn’t travel there on a regular basis.

Ami was a model. She’d just landed a huge contract. The contract she’d been hoping and working for. She’d moved from Shreveport to New York only three months ago. She wasn’t coming back to Louisiana and also couldn’t be traveling back here on a regular basis.

Fuck New York City.

Yeah, setting something on fire kind of seemed like a great idea.

And then there was his third option: turning, throwing her over his shoulder, taking her straight back to his house, and not letting her out of his bed for a week, whether they could be together long-term or not.

Which would only make all of this—the wanting her, the thinking about her, the missing her—so much worse.

He wasn’t going to be able to do any of those three things.

He was screwed.

So, he sucked in a deep lungful of oxygen and turned, deciding to go with his fourth option—just praying to not fuck everything up. “Am I that obvious?”

Ami smiled up at him. “I just really think it’s unfair that they’re assuming things that I didn’t actually get to experience.”

He shook his head. “Don’t.”

“Don’t what? Talk about how Charlie and Naomi are assuming their matchmaking worked and we spent the entire weekend you were in New York in bed together?”

“Ami,” he said, his voice low with warning.

“Hey, you’re the one looking at me like you’ve seen me naked and want to again,” she said. “Don’t blame me.”

He tossed back the rest of his drink, wished it was alcohol and not just soda, reminded himself that staying completely sober while Ami was in town for the first time since New York was a really, really good idea, and said, “That’s not how I’m looking at you.”

She put a hand on her hip. “Then how would you describe the way you’ve been watching me from across the room but totally ignoring me whenever we’re close enough to talk?”

“Like I’ve been jerking off practically every night for the past three months because I didn’t get you naked, and like since you got back to town I’ve been constantly about ten seconds away from picking you up, taking you home, and tying you to my bed for the next week or two.”

Okay, so even without alcohol he was going to be dangerously inappropriate. And honest. Just as he’d feared.

Her eyes went wide.

Then she grinned. “Yes. You’re right. That’s a much better, more specific, description.”

Review:
Bayou With Benefits is a small town romance WITH all the benefits of a super sweet love story that stole my heart and wrapped it up in all the feels.

Michael LeClaire and Amelia Landry have grown up together, or more like their families have. Michael is five years older and when you are younger that age gap can feel like twenty years, but for both Michael and Amelia the moment they hit that magic age of noticing the opposite sex, let’s just say they noticed each other. However, several obstacles always stood in their way and those secret crushes stayed just that…secret, until…I’m just going to say…until.

Bayou With Benefits is sweet, steamy, and also pretty emotional with this completely endearing couple. It’s written a bit differently than Erin’s past Bayou books, where she’s woven the past, present and of course that always anticipated future epilogue, giving us a timeline that weaves together beautifully and we get to know Michael and Amelia in a different way, but it fit them perfectly as the story progressed.

While they seem to come from different worlds they are more alike than they both realize. He’s a firefighter saving lives, along with being a single father. Whereas, Ami is a social influencer/model, and through her influence she has a powerful voice that has a way of helping people and there is one person who looks up to her that means more than anyone in the world, Michael’s son, Andre.  He’s super sweet and their time together is amazing. I love anytime he’s on the page, it’s powerful.

The LeClaire and Landry families all make appearances throughout the book, which is wonderful. I love the big family feel within the small town atmosphere. It’s always great to return home with characters that feel like family.

Blog Tour – Gotta Be Bayou by Erin Nicholas

How do you get over a woman you never should have been, ahem, under in the first place?

Gotta Be Bayou, an all-new grumpy-sunshine, small town romance from New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas is now available!

Just when FBI special agent Spencer Landry had decided to forget about investigative journalist Maxine-Max-Keller and their one hot night together, there’s a threat made against her and Spencer’s protective instincts get all riled up. Again.

So now they’re shacking up on the Louisiana bayou and pretending to be in love so he can keep Max safe until the guy is apprehended.

Considering their chemistry and that he can not stop thinking about the gorgeous-and-doesn’t-know-it, smart-mouthed, bold-and-yet-vulnerable redhead, this could be a fun few days, right?

Nope. She’s all wrong for him.

And she hasn’t forgotten he can be kind of a jerk.

Sure, the naked-times are great, but he told her exactly what he wants— a bubbly, sweet school teacher who bakes him brownies and loves to cuddle—and Max ain’t it.

Max not only doesn’t bake, no one has ever called her sweet. And cuddling? Shudder.

Plus his bossiness is super annoying for someone who’s been taking care of herself all her life. But now they’re stuck together and dammit, besides being hot and very good with his mouth, Spencer is pretty irresistible with baby goats, little kids, and attempts at baking. And don’t forget alpha-protective. All of which makes her stomach feel very swoop-y. No wonder her clothes keep falling off.

But this is a temporary situation and they’re only faking it. So falling for the guy is a terrible idea.

She really should have kept that in mind.

She’d fallen asleep on him.

Literally.

Well, her feet were on him anyway. Actually, her legs from the knees down.

She’d started just propped against the opposite end of the couch, with her crossword puzzle book open on the arm. She’d mostly focused on the puzzle, but he’d noticed her smiling and even laughing a couple of times at the TV.

Eventually, she’d propped her head on her hand and just watched. Then her eyes started drifting shut. Then her head was on the arm of the couch.

But when she wanted to get comfortable, she got comfortable.

She’d scooted down to rest her head on the couch cushion and stretched out. Including putting her feet in Spencer’s lap.

He’d had to catch her heels in his hands to keep her from kicking him in the balls.

And then he’d just held her feet, rubbing his thumbs along the arches of her feet, and absorbing the sound of her contented sigh and loving the way she cuddled deeper into the couch.

He’d wanted her to feel safe and be comfortable and relaxed.

Mission accomplished.

The woman was sound asleep.

At 8:30 p.m.

The episode ended and Spencer realized he didn’t remember a thing from what he’d watched. He’d been paying attention to Max.

Of course he’d started with the way her soft cotton shorts molded to the curve of her hips and ass. The way the matching tank hugged her waist and breasts. There was no way he could have ignored that. He was drawn to this woman and the part that didn’t confuse him was his attraction to her body.

Now, having those sweet curves within touching distance again and barely covered, absolutely drew his attention. But with her asleep, and him unable to really do anything, he also had the chance to simply study her up close.

Her eyelashes were pale and had a reddish hue. Of course they did. She was a redhead. But he’d never thought about the color of a woman’s eyelashes before. Now he was fascinated. Did she wear mascara? He was going to have to pay attention to see the next time she was awake.

She stirred, shifting, moving her feet against his hands and he stroked a hand up one calf. It wasn’t perfectly smooth. There was just a slight prickle, but he didn’t mind at all. In fact, he wanted to feel that against his thighs and hips as she wrapped her legs around him. It was real and he wanted to feel her legs in every stage from freshly shaved to haven’t-had-a-chance-for-days.

Wow, she was truly asleep. He should make her go to bed.

“Max?” he asked softly.

She didn’t even wiggle.

“Max?” he asked a little louder, squeezing her foot gently.

She just breathed in deeply, then out.

He should just carry her into bed. He could just scoop her up and take her into the bedroom.

Spencer shifted her legs so he could stand. Then he leaned over. She was on her side, so he pushed gently against her shoulder, rolling her to her back. She went with a sigh, one hand moving to rest on her chest. Perfect. Spencer slid an arm under her knees and one behind her back.

And everything was great until he started to lift.

She came awake suddenly. She kicked her legs, flailed her arms, and her head lifted instinctively to look around. Her forehead hit Spencer in the chin. Hard.

His head snapped back and his teeth clamped down on his tongue.

“Fuck!” he swore in surprised pain.

“Ahhh!” she yelled.

She was still kicking and waving her arms and he unceremoniously dropped her one foot back onto the couch cushions.

“Max! It’s me!”

She kicked out, her shin connecting with his thigh.

That fucking hurt too.

“Max!” He pinned her arms down against the couch. “Max! It’s Spencer!”

Her eyes were wide and not fully focused.

She just yelled again. “Ahhhhh!”

Dammit. The cottage next door was going to think they needed to call the cops.

Which was Zander.

Spencer did not want Zander showing up here, grinning and smirking and writing up a report about how Spencer had tried to sweetly carry Max to bed and she’d thought he was attacking her.

“Maxine!” he said sharply, putting a leg across hers to keep her from kicking and, against his better judgement, placing a hand over her mouth. “Stop it. It’s me.”

Her eyes flew to his as he put his face directly in front of hers.

“It’s Spencer.”

She suddenly went still. Her gaze focused and she stopped moving and he felt her pull in a long breath.

He waited another few seconds, making sure that she realized who was holding her down.

Slowly he removed his hand. “Okay?” he asked.

She drew in another long breath and blew it out. She nodded. “Yeah.”

“Holy shit, Max.”

“What happened?”

“You were sleeping like the dead, so I decided to carry you into the bedroom. And you turned into the Tasmanian devil.”

“Well, I’m not used to people picking me up in the middle of the night.”

That made him chuckle. “It’s not even 9 p.m.”

“Well… still.”

He liked that she was at a loss for words. That was unusual.

Slowly, he became aware of the fact that he was pinning her to the couch. With almost his entire body.

In spite of the fact that she’d been fighting off an intruder in her imagination and he’d been fearing for his manhood, his eyes, nose, and jaw, it didn’t take long for his body to register that this felt really nice.

The couch was big enough for the two of them to lie together. He wasn’t entirely on top of her, but almost half of him was pinning more than half of her to the cushions.

“I, um… didn’t mean to squash you. Self-preservation instinct.”

She smiled. “You’re not squashing me.” Her voice was soft and a little breathless.

Their gazes locked. “I did this, honestly, to keep you from hurting me or yourself. But mostly me.”

She wet her lips and nodded. “I believe you.”

“So, I could probably get up now. You seem a lot more calm.”

“Funny, I don’t exactly feel calm.”

His heart kicked against his rib cage. A moment ago she’d been ready to claw his eyes out. The moment before that she’d been so deeply asleep that she hadn’t realized he was even there. But now, her gaze was hot and she was breathing fast, and she was definitely not wearing a bra with this pajama set.

Spencer’s entire body responded. “You fell asleep really fast. And very deep,” he said, his voice husky.

“I often fall asleep on the couch. Never that deeply, though. I guess I felt really safe with you.”

Damn, he liked that. He felt the corner of his mouth curl. “Until I tried to pick you up.”

“Sorry. Instinct.”

“Honestly the cop part of me is very glad that your instinct is to fight hard when someone does something unexpected.”

“Good.” She gave a little nod. “I guess that means you just need to be sure I’m expecting anything you do.”

He nodded slowly and his gaze dropped to her mouth. “Good idea. For instance, if I was going to kiss you, I should make sure that you knew that.”

She nodded. “Right.”

“Max.”

“Yeah?”

“I’m going to kiss you.”

“Good.”

2022 New Release/Release Day, Year of Releases - 2022

New Release – Gotta Be Bayou by Erin Nicholas

She’s not what he’s looking for…but she might be exactly what he needs.

Gotta Be Bayou, an all-new hilarious and steamy small town romance from New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas is now available!

Review/Synopsis:

Review:
Ten First Dates is full of all new, laugh out loud, stories that I’ve been dying to read!

Here are just a few glimpses into some of the dates that totally made my reading night!!

Bayou Tonight by Erin Nicholas

This is the prequel to Gotta Be Bayou. Every moment I was reading was filled with a giggle and then an instant swoon moment, then I was right back to giggling followed by swooning again, and so on and so forth. While this was only a small taste of Spencer and Maxine’s story, I am already hooked! I’ve fallen hard for the southern boy who can’t stop thinking about the non-traditional redheaded woman. Their book is going to be fantastic, I can already feel it in my bones and can hardly wait for their full length novel!!

Matchmaking Mistake by Angela Denise

This is a prequel to both matchmaking stories, but told through Cole and Holly. Their book, Matchmaking a Single Dad recently released and there was quite a bit of talk about an infamous mistake between them. This funny prequel finally sheds some light on that fateful event along with what triggered Holly’s sister Bryn and the beginning of her story.

At First Glance by Erin McCarthy

What exactly did happen between Cash’s sister and his best friend while they were attending his wedding? I know I was dying to know the events that took place and was filled with glee to finally find out! This steamy first glance into Mackay and Faith’s own story, But First, Whiskey is filled with sparks and fireworks. I can hardly wait for more, but I will tell you this small glimpse is spicy and sweet all rolled into one.

This is only a few of the stories contained in this amazing anthology, but it’s full of great authors all jammed packed with brand new stories. Don’t miss it!

Blog Tour – Kiss My Giraffe by Erin Nicholas

She’s the only woman he can’t resist.
And now she lives right next door.

Kiss My Giraffe, a spicy grumpy sunshine romantic comedy, and the final standalone in the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild series from New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas, is available now!

𝙀𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙚𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙙𝙨 𝙩𝙤 𝙖𝙡𝙢𝙤𝙨𝙩 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨…𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙣 𝙗𝙖𝙘𝙠 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙙-𝙤𝙛 𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙢𝙞𝙚𝙨…𝙩𝙤 𝙡𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨. 𝙁𝙤𝙧 𝙖 𝙜𝙪𝙮 𝙬𝙝𝙤 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙩𝙤 𝙠𝙚𝙚𝙥 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙨 𝙨𝙞𝙢𝙥𝙡𝙚 𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙨 𝙞𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙮𝙩𝙝𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙗𝙪𝙩.

Fiona knew Knox would be mad when she moved in next door.
And not because she brought a collection of wild animals with her.

And she was right.

So she intended to leave him alone. Mostly.

But he’s not ignoring her. He’s actively working to send her and her “ridiculous menagerie” (rude) right back out of town.

Still, as hard as she tries, it’s impossible to stop thinking about the small town grump’s long hair and tattoos and that mouth.

Not the one that’s almost always set in a grim line and says things like, “you got a permit for that?”

Nope, the one that kisses her like she’s everything he’s ever wanted and says very dirty things in her ear. And sweet, protective, supportive things. Sometimes. Accidentally. When she catches him off-guard.

The one that also says he only wants a long-distance fling with her. Nothing serious. And that he never dates women he sees every day. Like his neighbor.

Well, fine. If he doesn’t want her—and her unbelievable past and that-can’t-be-real future—then she doesn’t want him either. He can just kiss her…giraffe. (Yeah, she actually has a couple of those.)

Now she just needs to convince her heart to give him up.

Read on for a look inside Kiss My Giraffe!

“Remember that thing we talked about at Christmas?”
Knox felt his gut clench. They’d talked about sleeping together. And him becoming the temporary foster dad to three baby otters.
And they’d kissed for the first time. A kiss that had been causing annoying, unwelcome, frustrating dirty dreams for three fucking months.
“About having a salacious affair where we sneak around behind our friends’ backs and sleep together whenever I’m in town?” she pressed when he didn’t answer.
“Yes. I remember.”
Too well. He was incredibly pissed about how often he’d replayed that conversation and how restless he’d been waiting for her to call or come back to Autre.
He didn’t pine for women. Ever. He did the opposite of that.
But now she was here. And Knox wasn’t sure what he was feeling. Her showing up unannounced wasn’t unusual. Fiona Grady rolled into Autre without warning more often than not in her grape-soda-purple truck that sent his heart hammering and cock hardening.
But it had been three months since he’d seen her. Since they’d talked. Since he’d had any clue what she was doing, where she was, how she was.
Suddenly, she was on his doorstep asking about their plan to bang whenever she was in town for a couple of days?
“Okay, well, there’s something I need to tell you that will make you not want to do that anymore,” she said. “So I was wondering if maybe you wanted to get naked together once before I told you and ruined everything?”
He opened his mouth to reply. Then shut it without a word. What the hell?
He glanced over his shoulder. Three minutes ago, he’d been sitting at his kitchen table doing paperwork with a cup of coffee and listening to a podcast about new creative urban development ideas.
Now the woman he was low-level obsessed with was on his porch asking if he wanted to have sex before she told him something that would make him not want to have sex with her anymore.
He ran a hand through his hair. This was why Fiona Grady was no good for him. She came into his carefully controlled and organized life and made things chaotic and messy.
“Are you sick?” he asked.
“Sick? No.”
“Dying?”
“No.”
“Is anyone dying?”
“No.”
“Are you married?” He braced himself. He knew very little about this woman, actually, and if she belonged to someone else, he’d… leave her alone. And hate that man. And never forgive her for stirring him up like this.
“Absolutely not.”
“Engaged?”
“No.”
Okay, that was all…way too much of a relief. He should not be this happy to hear that.
“Did you kill someone?” he asked.
She tipped her head, her mouth curling. “Is that a definite deal-breaker?”
No, probably not. Knox narrowed his eyes.
“No, I haven’t killed anyone.”
“Are the Feds looking for you? Or will I be implicated in some kind of crime if I let you in?”
“Not that I’m aware of.”
“That’s not a no.”
“I’m just being honest.”
Fair enough. Fiona was a wild animal advocate. The type of person to show up at roadside petting zoos and ‘circuses’ to monitor how the animals were treated and hand out literature to people attending the events, raising awareness about the poor conditions and treatment of those animals. She showed up to help rescue and care for animals, wild and domestic, after natural disasters such as hurricanes and wildfires. She regularly lobbied local, state, and even the national government for animal protections.
The chance that she could have done something in the “gray area” for one of her causes was pretty good.
The problem with that was he knew that wouldn’t keep him from wanting her.
She was precisely the kind of woman he should be avoiding.
He studied her face for another long moment, then gave in to the inevitable. He pushed his door open.
“Yeah?” she asked.
“Yeah.”
She wasn’t dying, wasn’t married, and hadn’t killed anyone. And he wanted her more than he’d ever wanted another woman in his life. So how was he possibly going to shut the door on her? After three months of missing her? He wasn’t that strong. Or stupid.

Review/Synopsis:

Review:
Oh. My. Sweetberry Biscuits!!! I thought I was ready for Knox and Fiona. I thought after all the Laundry men and their BIG love I was prepared. I am stating for the record Kiss My Giraffe is the best closer in the history of closers. P.S. I was not prepared for the greatness of this book.

I never saw the reveals coming. My mind was blown with secrets uncovered, one after another. THEN, the beautiful moments spent with each secondary character. I wanted to bask in the wise words from Ellie or insightful thoughts from Mitch or Drew, or so many other characters it would take a full page to list them all. Erin spread out those tiny reflective moments throughout the entire book which made it feel like taking a journey right beside both Fiona and Knox. Two people who both love the town and its people and may not exactly be a Laundry, but were included like family nonetheless. It’s that sense of family and togetherness that draws me back to these books time and time again and is at the heart of this book in particular.

Fiona and Knox have been playing the longest game of foreplay ever. For two years they have been dancing around each other and it’s finally time, except not really. When Knox finds out that Fiona is going to be his next door neighbor, the whole friends with benefits arrangement he thought he was going to have with her is suddenly off. Knox only does long distance relationships and knowing Fiona is going to be literally right in his back yard means there will be no more benefit to their friendship. Well, you get my drift.

Kiss My Giraffe is full with all the small town bayou love with lots of new twists and turns that I never, ever saw coming. Knox is super intense (that was no shocker), but he is also insanely sweet. His super squishy center is super-duper swoony and I’m constantly blown away that everytime Erin writes a new book the new hero ends up kicking out the old one for my favorite. Although Knox and Zander are close friends, maybe they could share the pedestal this time.

Fiona holds true for Erin’s fierce and take charge heroines. Her loud and obnoxious purple truck should speak for itself, but even without that, the way she conducts a rescue mission, speaks for the abused animals that have no voice and never once backed down from Knox himself told him everything he ever needed to know, she is his perfect woman…if she wasn’t living right next door.

I will not say this book is bittersweet, since the bayou isn’t totally leaving, just heading in another direction. It was just all the sweetness and like I stated at the very beginning, it held the very best of this entire series. I loved it and could continue to gush for hours, but instead, go read it and find out for yourself!

Synopsis:
Enemies to friends to almost lovers…then back to kind-of enemies…to lovers. For a guy who wanted to keep things simple this is anything but.

2022 Excerpt/Teaser, Blog Tour - 2022, Contemporary Romance, RomCom, Year of Releases - 2022, Year of Reviews - 2022

Blog Tour – Say It Like You Mane It by Erin Nicholas

She’s stunning, whip-smart, and trouble with a capital T.

Say It Like You Mane It, a brand-new, small town romantic comedy from New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas, is now available!

What happens when a hellraiser turned hot cop is stuck with a headstrong heiress he’s determined to protect…and resist?

A run-away bride, wearing a freakin’ tiara, and carrying a stolen lion cub, of all things. This was not how rowdy, bad-boy-turned-small-town-cop, Zander Landry expected his day to go.

He really didn’t expect his night to end with her sleeping in his bed after her near-kidnapping.

But his intense attraction to her and the feelings of protectiveness she stirs up? Oh, yeah, he knew those were coming.

She’s stunning, whip-smart, and trouble with a capital T.

Which means, he needs her to head right back the way she came. ASAP.

His town is exactly the way he wants it . . . crazy and trouble free.

Well, the crazy trouble he’s not related to anyway.

Stranded in a tiny town in her half-million-dollar wedding gown with no money and no place to go . . . today is going pretty much exactly the way Caroline Holland expected it to.

But the grumpy, tattooed, oh-my-god hot cop being the answer to all her problems isn’t at all what she expected.

Now that she’s turned all the criminal (and obnoxious) info about her exotic-animal-dealing ex-fiance over to Zander, she can kick back in a hammock with some sweet tea and relax.

Or not.

Turns out Caroline’s not the spoiled heiress Zander thinks she is. The gorgeous hellion wants in on the action and soon discovers just how dirty things can get in the bayou. And the bedroom.

More and more, Zander just wants her safe on the sidelines. But Caroline isn’t going anywhere until justice is done.

It’s a clash of wills that’s gonna get hotter than a crawfish boil in July. And the most fun the Landry family has had watching sparks fly since . . . well, the last book.

Excerpt

Zander turned to look at the woman with a brow up. “Anything else you’d like to tell me?”
She met his eyes directly. She studied him, seemingly thinking over his question. Finally, she nodded. “Yeah, I think so.”
“Okay. What’s going on?”
“It might take a bit. Want to buy me a drink?” She glanced back toward Ellie’s.
Did he want to take the gorgeous woman in a wedding dress with another man’s ring on her finger who had almost been kidnapped right in front of him back inside his grandmother’s bar where most of his family and a lot of the town was gathered?
He most certainly did not.
“No,” he said simply.
Caroline looked surprised. “Can we”—She looked around—“at least go somewhere else?”
That seemed like a good idea. She was very conspicuous here and his family could, at any moment, come out. And start asking questions. Not to mention that the would-be kidnapper now knew where she was.
“Is there a chance your fiancé is going to come back?” Of course there was. A man didn’t just let this woman go.
She bit her bottom lip and looked up the road. Then she nodded. “Yeah, there’s a chance. Or that he’ll tell someone else where I am.” She looked at Zander again. “But that was my brother. Not my fiancé.”
Oh, that was interesting.
No, it fucking isn’t. Knock it off.
“So, will your fiancé be coming after you?”
“Ex-fiancé.”
Right. She’d mentioned that.
“Okay. Will he come after you?”
She didn’t answer right away. Which Zander also found interesting. Though he shouldn’t. He did not want to be interested in this woman. At all. He didn’t want anyone getting kidnapped while they were in Autre, though, either. Okay, he didn’t really want anyone getting kidnapped, period. But especially while they were in Autre.
“There’s a chance,” Caroline finally admitted. “Or my dad might come. Or my ex-fiancé’s dad might come.”
“And you don’t want to go back with any of them? Is that right?”
“Yes.”
Well, fuck. He had to at least be sure she didn’t get taken anywhere by anyone against her will.
She studied him for a long moment. “So, you’re willing to help me, Officer Landry?”
Her question—and her voice and her eyes and her everything, if he was being honest with himself which he decided to not be—sent a shot of something through Zander’s chest.
It was the familiar streak of adrenaline he often felt with his work. It primed his gut to act on instinct when necessary, it made him ready to take on people intent on doing bad things and face potential danger, and it focused his mind. But he also recognized the sliver of trepidation. It wasn’t fear or reluctance. It was…awareness. Like knowing he was about to open a big old can of worms.
But he nodded. “Helping people with problems is kind of my job.”
“Then I would love to tell you what’s going on.”
He wanted that. And it wasn’t the cop in him thinking that.
Fuck. Dammit. Hell. Sonofabitch.
“Okay. Let’s go…someplace your brother doesn’t know about.”
“Like your place?”
Yes. He wanted her at his place. That was the safest. He could definitely keep her safe there. His property was at the end of a dead-end road so the only traffic was trucks he knew. His neighbors were his brothers and cousins. His backyard butted up to the bayou.
But fuck no. He wasn’t taking this woman anywhere near his house. Where his bedroom was.
She was dangerous. He couldn’t sort through all the reasons why at the moment, not while looking into her eyes and wondering how soft her skin was and how silky her hair was, but he had enough self-preservation instinct to keep her away from his house.
“I’m thinking the B & B.”
He grabbed her suitcase and started for his truck.
“But he might think to look there,” she protested. She gathered up her enormous skirts and followed him though.
“I’ll tell Heather not to tell anyone anything about you,” Zander told her, storing her bag behind the front seat and then turning to face her.
Dammit.
Again with the eyes. And hair. And lips. Okay, he hadn’t included the lips in the earlier inventory, but they were great too.
So he liked female lips. Big deal. These were not that exceptional. What the hell was wrong with him?
She’s probably your damned soulmate or some shit and the second you touch her hand you’re going to feel sparks.
I’m not going to feel sparks. That’s a stupid cliché. But I have to get some war biographies. Or maybe something about Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Something about women who are amazing but not sexy. It doesn’t have to be about sexy all the time. Get away from those romance novels.
The thing was, smart, bold women like RBG were sexy in their own way and if Zander had been Ruth’s age and run into her at a bar when she was single, he absolutely would have hit on her.
“Are you okay?” Caroline asked, stepping forward with a slight frown.
He jerked out of his stupid thoughts. “Yeah. I’m fine. You’re the one with the problem.”
Well, that had sounded rude as fuck.
Her eyes widened, but then she nodded. “Yeah. I am. We should definitely work on my problem. It’s going to keep getting bigger if we don’t.”
Zander sighed. He didn’t even know what that meant but…of course it was.

Review:

An insta-attraction, slow-burn romance with a protective cop….oooooh yeah!!

Zander Landry is super adorable. He secretly reads romance books and his inner monologue regarding all of the romantic thoughts that twist around the new blonde in town are so funny. He may just be my favorite Landry yet.

Zander is very aware of the Landry love curse. He’s been a first hand witness to all of his family members falling in love one by one, so when he first meets Caroline, he isn’t shocked of feeling big things. However, he still fights getting stuck in love because he’s very happy being a bachelor. Zander is also very aware of all of the romantic feelings with all of the romance books he reads. He’s no dummy, but he continually berates himself that he needs to switch up his reading to something else. It’s hilarious.

Zander is uber protective of his town, his family, and even Caroline the moment she steps foot in Autre. It’s in his nature to make sure everyone who enters his town is safe and that no funny business happens while strangers are there. Caroline definitely brings danger, funny business, and a hot package all wrapped up in one. The quicker she leaves the better he’ll feel, he hopes.

Caroline is super cute and no dummy. She just might be the perfect fit for not only Zander, but the entire big, boisterous Landry family. Zander needs to work fast on getting her out of his town if he wants to keep his bachelor status. LOL.

I loved, loved, loved this new addition to the Boys of Bayou collection and don’t worry this isn’t exactly the end of this beloved family. Erin gives us a peek into where she’s taking the Bayou Boys and I’m really excited on the new adventure.

Blog Tour – Head Over Hooves by Erin Nicholas

Head Over Hooves, a small town, holiday fling rom com from New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas is available today!

You know in movies where the big city girl lands in a small town for the holidays and falls for the hunky guy who saves Christmas?

This isn’t that story.

But this guy does look fantastic in flannel. And out of flannel…

Finding true love with his one-and-only soul mate? Drew Ryan’s given up on that.

But a hot holiday fling in Louisiana, far from his responsibilities and good guy image back home, is now on the top of his list for Santa.

So when he’s knocked on his ass—literally—by a Christmas elf who’s stealing a sleigh full of gifts and using his reindeer to commit the crime, he definitely doesn’t expect to fall head over heels.

This holiday couldn’t get any worse for Rory Robins.

First, her hair wasn’t supposed to turn green. It’s not even Christmas green.

And the elf costume wasn’t supposed to be two sizes too small.

And her con-man father wasn’t supposed to show up and go all real-life-Grinch on her beloved new hometown.

And she definitely wasn’t supposed to run into anyone while trying to fix the problem. Especially not the hunky guy who already seems too good to be true.

But he does have a way of making her “cocoa” even hotter and a whole lot sweeter…

Still, he lives in Iowa. The only good thing her father ever gave her was a healthy distrust of men who are never around. She’s not doing a long-distance thing.

This little fling is only going to last as long as the temporary color of her hair.

Only nothing seems to be fading. And she might be asking Santa for just one more thing…

Review:

Sweet, funny and with the right splash of naughty sprinkled in for holiday perfection!

Erin, Erin, Erin…will I ever think of chocolate sauce, candy cane stockings, and a santa hat without blushing? Drew F-ing Ryan is the quenticental nice guy with a scrumptious naughty side and I’m adding him to my wish list this Christmas!!

Drew has finally found his perfect match (big, happy sigh from Oliver), but what does that mean when she lives in Louisiana and his life is in Iowa?

Drew Ryan is from the tiny town of Appleby, IA and he is known to everyone as the nice guy. The guy to lend a helping hand. The guy who repeatedly gets friendzoned, even by Ollie’s Piper (Okay, I’ll let that go).

Drew is visiting his friends in Louisiana with a couple of his reindeer for the Christmas petting zoo and what happens to catch his eye barely moments when he steps into town?  A gorgeous elf, in a body hugging dress with a head of green hair and a potty mouth to boot. Drew is intrigued more than he cares to admit, especially when they share a kiss barely moments after meeting Rory.

Rory is a bit of a hot mess, a magnet for a man like Drew who always finds himself lending a helping hand, but Rory is a woman who likes to take care of things herself. While Drew’s not there to find love, or add to his list of friendzoned ladies. He’s there for a vacation, deliver his reindeer, and perhaps have a hot fling. He doesn’t need to engage with a girl like Rory, but something definitely draws him back over and over again. Will she allow Drew to help or just scratch that holiday itch? Don’t start packing his bags quite yet, Ollie, LOL!

All of the Laundry family gather round for this adorable holiday treat, with the perfect naughty moments. Once again Erin Nicholas gave readers what we needed to connect with family and enjoy a bit of holiday magic.

What’s a girl to do when her celebrity crush needs her to be his fake girlfriend?

Sealed With a Kiss, an all-new romantic comedy filled with heated chemistry from New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas is available now!

Keep her damned feelings to herself, of course.
Child TV star turned adult wallflower Naomi LeClaire has vowed never to return to the spotlight.
But when she’s stuck in a storm with Donovan Foster, the hot, charming, wild-life rescuing internet sensation, and she finally gives in and kisses him…and a few articles of clothing end up on the floor…suddenly her simple, quiet life is tossed upside down.

Especially after the paparazzi catches a heat-of-the-moment kiss. Now everyone assumes she’s his girlfriend and, when she realizes that’s the best way to keep Donovan out of trouble, Naomi agrees to play along. Even though it puts her center stage with her private life in very public view. Again.

Sealed With A Kiss; Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild #5
(A standalone within a series)

Publication Date: October 19, 2021

Genre/Tropes: Contemporary Romance

Author: Erin Nicholas

Review Rating: 5 Gold Stars

Review/Synopsis:

Review:

Feel good, super steamy, full of family and animals…seriously, what is not to love about this book!!

Donovan Foster and Naomi LeClaire have steam in spades and are super flirty, even when rescuing animals from dangerous situations. This couple is just full of chemistry and it shows. They catch the attention of any and everyone no matter where they go, even if they plan on keeping their attraction to themselves…sorry hottie mchotties there is no containing their level of  heat.

Donovan lives his life in the spotlight. He’s passionate about his work and a lot of times he jumps in to situations before he thinks. Thankfully, he always come out of every rescue situation alive and with all of his body parts still attached, but that doesn’t mean that Naomi hasn’t watched his show with her heart beating out of her chest and especially as she’s grown to know the man she worries even more about all of those body parts remaining attached to his very hot body.

Naomi lives a very private life and she prefers to calculate every move before she makes it. The longer she spends in the company of Donovan the more she finds herself jumping right in to help him rescue animals, but she also finds new passions that she didn’t realize she’d ever wanted. All because of one very intense man. Donovan isn’t sure he likes seeing Naomi put herself in dangerous situations, but he also loves watching her blossom while she’s doing it. It’s a crazy feeling and certainly one he’s never experienced.

Can this traveling wanderlust be happy with a private homebody? These two may have chemistry through the roof, but is it enough to make a relationship last long term?

Sealed With A Kiss is full of wonderful animals, lots of great family that is fun with crossover worlds, LOL moments mixed with lots of sigh worthy ones.  I loved this addition to the Boys of Bayou world.

Synopsis:

What’s a girl to do when faced with a hurricane, her celebrity crush, and a power outage in their shelter?

Keep her damned feelings to herself. And her panties on…

Naomi LeClaire is just a small-town girl who loves her quiet, simple life.

Donovan Foster is a sexy, charming, wildlife rescuing internet sensation who loves the spotlight.

What do these opposites have in common?

Only an impossible-to-resist chemistry that, when they’re stuck together in a storm becomes, well, impossible to resist.

But the aftermath of the storm gives them something else in common—a rescue mission to help victims. Oh, and a heat-of-the-moment kiss caught on camera by the local paparazzi. Not to mention an offer for a reality TV show documenting them falling in love while saving animals from crazy, dangerous situations.

Wow, that escalated quickly.

This should be the last thing Naomi is willing to do. But he’s leaving in two months for his next job, so what’s the worst that could happen?

He’s either going to be her greatest adventure. Or this wild whirlwind romance will blow over faster than a Gulf Coast hurricane.

All she can really do is hold on tight . . . and hope her heart isn’t left in shambles.

Jillian Morris is a workaholic who forgets to watch the time. And to eat. And to change her shoes. And to keep even a house-plant alive. And to have any kind of a personal life.

Excerpt

He lifted a hand to run it through his wet hair.
Her eyes followed the motion, seemingly riveted on his arm. He wasn’t sure if it was the tattoo or what exactly. But he did know that Jillian was fascinated with his ink. She had traced all of it with her fingers and tongue last night more than once. And he had a lot of ink.
“I’m the guy who’s remodeling your house.”
Her eyes widened. “We’re going to be neighbors.”
He let his grin grow slowly. “Yup.”
She tipped her head back and groaned.
But it wasn’t one of the hot oh-my-God-yes groans she’d been giving him last night. This was more of oh-crap groan.
“You’re clearly not as excited about that as I am,” he said dryly.

Her head came up and she met his eyes. Now there was no roaming over his half naked body. She shook her head. “It just feels complicated to live next door to the guy I’m hooking up with once a month.”
He was confused. “We’re hooking up once a month?”
“Well, that was what I was going to propose anyway. Friends with benefits, you know? After last night I thought that could be kind of fun.”
“That would be fun. Very, very fun,” he said. “But why only once a month? I’m up for that kind of fun way more often.”
“Sure. But then it turns into more like dating or a relationship or something rather than just getting together for hot sex.”
“And I take it the relationship and dating thing is something you’re trying to avoid?”
“Very much so. And living next door to you means that we’ll see each other occasionally and since you’ll be saving me from alligators on a regular basis, we could potentially turn into actual friends. And that makes the hooking up even more complicated.”
Having the sun up hadn’t made him feel any less attracted to, slightly confused by, surprised by, and definitely amused by this woman. “But friends with benefits has friends right in the title.”
This all sounded good to him. Having a neighbor he could get naked with whenever the urge struck, who didn’t want anything else from him, sounded pretty great.
“I’m just really not interested in a relationship,” Jill went on. “I’m not good at them. And I don’t really have time for them. And I don’t put the effort into them, which ends up bothering the other person after a while. Which is understandable. I’m not blaming anyone. I just really like to have everything laid out and everyone on the same page. And I like sex. It would be really perfect to be able to have amazing sex, but only when it’s convenient.”
Zeke gave a soft snort. Convenient hot sex. It really did sound pretty amazing.
“If you just want to walk through my door, only wearing a robe and nothing underneath to save time, I’m not gonna kick you out, cher,” he told her. He was half-teasing. But only half.
She finally gave him a hint of a smile. “I can just show up on your front porch anytime I want?”
He reached up and cupped the side of her head. He brought her in close and put his mouth against hers. “Any freaking time.”

Review:

Did someone crank up the heat? I need to jump in with the adorable penguins and cool off because I am head over tail in love with Flipping Love You!

Holy hotness! Get your fan’s at the ready and make sure you have an ice cold beverage when you sit down to read this book! Zeke and Jill are beyond hot. They are Louisiana summer hot!! It’s a good thing the penguins that Jill takes care of enjoy the warm weather because they upped the steam in Autre. Am I getting my point across yet?😉

Zeke Landry has always enjoyed the ladies and the ladies enjoyed him, but when he meets Jill Morris she is unlike any other woman he’s ever met. Not only is she the lowest maintenance woman he’s come across, but he soon learns that she cares more about, not just animals, but penguins in particular more than people. She is such a workaholic that she forgets about things like eating, doing laundry, people’s birthdays, basically all of those small things that eventually lead to big things that have ended any kind of relationship she’s ever tried to have in the past.

Jill prefers to keep things simple, like friends-with-benefits, which she knew moving to Louisiana she’d have to find a new “friend”, so when hot, tattooed Zeke just so happens to have an accident in front of her motel the first night she’s in town, she invites him back to her room. She isn’t shy in asking for what she wants and Zeke loves the fresh, honest approach, another thing to add to his growing list of what makes her unique. Every moment they spend together only grows his fascination and when one of those moments accidentally causes their friends-with-benefits to be a bit more permanent…well, Zeke isn’t exactly upset about that prospect.

My favorite parts, aside from the honesty and frank openness between Zeke and Jill, was truly in the sweet moments when they realized that when you find the person you love you become a better version of yourself. Neither Jill nor Zeke were bad people before meeting one another, but when they accidently fall, they also accidentally became better versions of the awesome people they already were. I’ll let you discover what that truly means, but just know it truly made me smile every single time it happened in this book.

My other favorite part is Ellie’s definition of having children. “They are like a hurricane”. I’ve never heard something more perfectly accurate in all of my life. This entire scene between Ellie and Jill, well actually with the entire family, is really the best.

How Erin keeps topping these wild boys of the bayou I don’t know, but she does and Flipping Love You is everything cute, fun, and totally hot to add to this amazing series!

He’s her best friend.
A reformed bad boy turned hot teacher.
And after one spur-of-the-moment Vegas wedding… her husband.

Heavy Petting, an all-new heartwarming and laugh-out-loud romantic comedy in the Boys of the Bayou Gone Wild Series by New York Times bestselling author Erin Nicholas is available now!

He’s her best friend.
A reformed bad boy turned hot teacher.
And after one spur-of-the-moment Vegas wedding… her husband.

Jordan Benoit and Fletcher Landry have been best friends since they were six. He’s always been The Guy. When she needed picked up, cheered up, or lifted up–like literally, to see the stage at a concert–Fletcher was the guy.

So when her boyfriend dumps her–on national TV–Fletcher immediately gets on a plane and comes to her rescue.

And when she ends up in a Vegas wedding chapel and needs someone to say, “I do”…yep, Fletcher’s the guy. Of course.

But being The Guy 24/7 is a lot. He just wants everyone to give him a freaking minute to get this marriage thing right. Including his sexy, sweet new wife who he’s wanted for three years. Who is exasperatingly, temptingly all-in from minute one.

Jordan knows what she wants. A life in her hometown. A job with alpacas. And Fletcher. Not necessarily in that order.

They’ve said the vows. They’d told the world. They’ve told their grandmas. Forget taking things slow. Forget just heavy petting. Forget any chance of backing out when things get tough. They’re going to have to go all the way, in every way.

After all, friends becoming lovers should be the easiest thing in the world. Right?

Excerpt

“I also think that I need to—”
“Marry me.”
“Date you.”
They spoke at the same time.
Then stared at each other.
“What?”
“What?”
They spoke simultaneously again.
“I was trying to give you some freaking space before I said anything.” He seemed very annoyed suddenly.
She leaned in, bracing her hand on the seat between them. “The last person I need space from is you, Fletcher. I mean, we’ve basically been dating for twenty years. If dating is about getting to know someone and figuring out how well you fit with them and figuring out if you want to spend the rest of your life with them…we’ve done that.”
He shook his head. “You have got to be one of the most exasperating people in my life.”
Her eyebrows rose. “Considering your twin brothers are Zeke and Zander, being one of the most exasperating people in your life is pretty huge.”
He shook his head. “Absolutely exasperating. To think I could’ve kissed you when we were standing next to a king-sized bed and you were only in your bra and panties and you would have been all in.”
Jordan felt her cheeks flush, but she grinned widely. “I really am a pain.”
“You really are.” His gaze dropped to her mouth.
Jordan felt a zing of excitement go through her. She really wanted him to kiss her.
“I think you dating me is a great idea,” he said after a moment.
Thank God.
“You’re sure you’re done dating other people? Having fun with all those girls? All the casual relationships?” she asked.
“If it means I get to be with you? Absolutely.”
Her stomach swooped, harder and faster than before. “This isn’t crazy?”
“It makes a hell of a lot more sense than anything else. Like you dating other men. Or either of us being with anyone else.”
“We’ve never talked about this before.”
“You’ve been taken,” he said simply.
Right. That was true. And Fletcher was too good of a guy to go after another man’s girl.
She still felt compelled to say, “It’s been three years since anything happened.”
“Again, because you’ve been taken.” His voice dropped. “Only because you’ve been taken, Jordan.”
Her heart skittered at that and she wet her lips. She thought about her next words carefully. Several seconds ticked by. Then she said simply, “Prove it.”
Fletcher reached out, wrapped his big hand around her wrist, and tugged her close. He cupped the back of her head and brought her in until they were nose to nose. “This changes everything,” he said. Almost as if it was a warning.
“I know.”
“I’m the last frog you’re ever going to kiss. So be sure you want it now.”
That was exactly what she’d wanted to hear without even realizing it.

Erin lives in the Midwest, where she enjoys spending time with her husband (who only wants to read the sex scenes in her books), her kids (who will never read the sex scenes in her books), and her family and friends (who claim to be “shocked” by the sex scenes in her books).
