So Many Anthologies For the Greater Good

Charity Romance Anthologies Benefitting Worthwhile Causes

I love that the book community is full of passionate people who are giving of their time and resources. It never fails to astound me that readers and authors alike never fail to rise to any occasion when action is needed. Lately our world seems to need help more than ever and so often we are left tucked into our small corner of the world wondering how we can help. Now is the time to help and it’s already something you do so it’s easy.

Authors are joining forces for truly wonderful causes and you, as a reader, can help raise money for those causes by doing what you do best…reading.

2019 Goals – Monthly Author Feature – Lani Lynn Vale

2019 Goals. Happy September!! Fall and everything pumpkin flavored is fast upon us. I hope you have been enjoying summer because it is coming to a close for 2019. As much as I love pumpkins and pumpkin flavored things, I’m not exactly a fan of the cooler temperatures that I know are right around the corner.

This will mean an end to long summer nights basking in the warm summer sun while squeezing in my reading until the sunlight fades. Soon all my reading will take place inside most likely under a warm blanket. Sigh…

There were a lot of new summer releases in 2019. So many in fact I wasn’t able to squeeze them all in and basically why I’m so late with posting last months goal. I have so many books currently sitting on my TBR pile, since finding and reading new authors means I have to buy their past books. I just need more hours in the day so I can tackle that pile.

As always, if you’ve missed the past few months, where I not only launched into my journey of 2019 goals, but also highlighted other amazing authors, please check them out by clicking on the links below.

2019 Goals – Monthly Author Feature – L.J. Shen

2019 Goals – Monthly Author Feature – Kandi Steiner

2019 Goals – Monthly Author Feature – Charity Ferrell

2019 Goals – Monthly Author Feature – Amy Andrews

2019 Goals – Monthly Author Feature – Lila Monroe

Now—Welcome to August!!

Lani Lynn Vale was another author, like many of the others listed above, that checked off numerous boxes on what I love when reading; suspense, wittiness, great chemistry, emotional empathy, basically the gamet of feels when I’m reading a story. I want to be immersed and along for the ride.  In I’d Rather Not, we meet a dying woman who needs an organ transplant and a soldier who has been given a second chance at life willing to give up his kidney to save her. This story had it all and touched me on every level.

Lani Lynn Vale – and I’d Rather Not

I'd Rather Not (KPD Motorcycle Patrol Book 3) by [Vale, Lani Lynn]

I’d Rather Not blew all my expectations away!! It contained all the feels. It went from emotional to funny to steamy hot to suspenseful. I’d Rather Not has everything plus so much heart, it’s a fantastic read!” ~Read the rest of Kay’s Review: I’d Rather Not

Oakley Spurlock is dying.
She only has weeks to live thanks to a freak infection that totally and completely destroyed her kidneys.
Despite her family’s desperation, not a single one of them is a match.
In a last-ditch attempt, Oakley’s father takes to social media to beg for help to save his daughter’s life.
Pace Vineyard is lost. So lost, in fact, that he’s not sure he wants to be found.
But then a beautiful woman’s face is splashed across social media, and Pace finds a spark in his soul for the first time since a bomb went off beside him.
He’s already missing two legs. What’s one more kidney?
At least, that’s what he tells himself.
What he doesn’t expect is to give his heart to the woman, too. Or for the woman to run away with it and force him to follow.

School psychologists aren’t supposed to write books about sex. Doing so would be considered “unethical” and “a fireable offense.” Lucky for you, ethics was never my strong suit.

After spending years trying to spice up my sex life, I gave up and took to my journal. Perhaps my gorgeous, cold, number-crunching husband simply wasn’t capable of the kind of passion I’d come to expect. After all, my ex-boyfriends–a tattoo artist turned U.S. Marine turned motorcycle club outlaw, a baby-faced punk rocker out on parole, and a heavy metal bass player–were every bit as tattooed and testosterone-fueled as the leading men in my favorite romance novels. If I couldn’t have that kind of passion again in real life, I could at least write about it. Right? Nobody had to know. It would be my little secret.

Well, guess what? My husband read that sh*t.

And guess what else? He upped his f*cking game.

Drunk with power and under the dubious advisement of my best friend and colleague, I began testing the limits–crafting journal entries specifically designed to manipulate Ken’s behavior. For the most part, he responded beautifully…except when he didn’t.

Because BB Easton had so much fun writing her best-selling, award-winning memoir, 44 CHAPTERS ABOUT 4 MEN, she decided to give each of her four men his own steamy stand-alone novel. In SKIN, SPEED, STAR, and SUIT, BB takes you back in time to the late ‘90s and early 2000s to tell the outrageously wild, shockingly sexy, deeply emotional, and as always, wickedly funny backstories for Knight, Harley, Hans, and everyone’s favorite husbot, Ken.

BB Easton lives in the suburbs of Atlanta, Georgia, with her long-suffering husband, Ken, and two adorable children. She recently quit her job as a school psychologist to write books about her punk rock past and deviant sexual history full-time. Ken is suuuper excited about that.

2019 Goals. Happy August!! I hope you have been enjoying summer. I know I have been enjoying whatever sunshine has been gracing the skies. Knowing cold weather will be here before we know it I eat up the warm weather like it is going out of style.

My favorite thing to do during the warm summer nights; sit out on my glider with a book and bask in every inch of sunlight until the sun sets in the horizon. Even then, thanks to the backlight on my ereader, I enjoy the summer night until the bugs come to see what I’m reading. They are so nosey.

Thanks to my favorite summer activity I’ve been able to get a lot of summer reading in and met some terrific new authors in the process.

Now—Welcome to July!!

I love reading romcoms as much as I love watching them. The blunders, the mistakes, the self deprecation, and physical comedy is the absolute bomb for any romcom. In Lila Monroe’s Cupids Anonymous you get all of that and more which will keep you laughing throughout the entire book while falling in love with with this quirky couple. I loved Lila’s quick witted writing style which will definitely have me reading more of her books in the future.

**Fall in love with the sizzling new romantic comedy – perfect for fans of Sophie Kinsella and Christina Lauren!**

Rule #1 Don’t get hit by your own arrow.

I’m a professional Cyrano – minus the honking great nose. Need a love note, raunchy sext, or apology letter so epic that your other half will forget you hesitated a beat too long when you asked, ‘does this make me look fat?’? I’ve got you covered. But when my most frequent client, the annoyingly charming (or is that charmingly annoying?) Dylan Griffin comes to me with an unconventional new job, I discover that three little words can add up to one BIG complication…

Because Dylan doesn’t want help seducing another swimsuit model (for once in his life). He wants my help winning over his high-school crush (aka, his one true love) – and he’s prepared to make it worth my while. Throw in a summer Catskills trip that’s equal parts ‘Dirty Dancing’ and dirty-talking, and this Cupid is soon out of her depth – and head over heels with the last man I expected. But can I find the right words when it comes to my own heart? Or will this happily ever end in disaster?

Find out in the sparkling new romantic comedy from USA Today bestselling author, Lila Monroe!

2019 Goals. Happy July!! Half of 2019 has gone by, where has the time disappeared to?

Summer finally arrived somewhere amidst all the rain and it also included a lot of fantastic reading.

Now—Welcome to June!!

June was filled with romcoms, bully romances, sports romances, contemporary reads and so much more, but it was the second chance story by Kristin Harte of Pop the Clutch that stood out among everything I read.

This book touched on some very real social media consequences, but also had one of the best book boyfriends I’ve ever read. Easton Cole is not only a hard working, blue collar walking wet dream, he is also a gentleman with manners. His silver tongue is made for sweet talking and dirty talking and other fun activities. He is everything a wish granted all rolled up into one.

Then there was Violet Foster who was dealing with her past and her present all at once, not a pleasant situation, but Easton stayed by her side every step of the way. This couple was a great read and I loved Kristin’s writing, I hope you will too.

“A bad boy with a heart of gold and a woman living with a life-altering mistake gives this second-chance romance enough tension to chew on. Every page had me aching for Easton and Violet!” ~Kelly Siskind, author of NEW ORLEANS RUSH
POP THE CLUTCH crackles with tension and sizzles with heat.” ~Jen DeLuca, author of WELL MET
“Easton Cole is the perfect book boyfriend in every way!!! Pop the Clutch is an excellent book, but Easton makes it even better.” ~Read the rest of Kay’s Review: Pop the Clutch

**POP THE CLUTCH is a full-length contemporary romance novel from USA Today bestselling author Ellis Leigh writing as Kristin Harte. It’s the first book in the Second Gear series featuring stories of blue collar heroes and second chance romances
Not all people need a second chance at love. Some need a second chance at life.

Violet’s only planning on staying a month, even if the good memories of Downriver have started to overpower the bad, and Easton is dead set on making new ones…together. But the internet is forever, so there’s no chance of Violet having a future unblemished by her past. And when the stain of her damaged reputation resurfaces, Violet knows it could destroy everything around her…including Easton.

About Kristin Harte

Kristin Harte started off as a chemistry major in college but somehow ended up writing romances featuring ex-military heroes and the women who knock them to their knees…literally and figuratively. She likes drinking in the shade, snuggling under a warm blanket on a cold evening, and researching how to blow things up. Her children know nothing of what she writes, and her husband just hopes he’s not at their Chicago-ish home the day the government shows up to confront Kristin about her Google search history.

When not writing good men doing bad things, Kristin can be found writing paranormal romance as Ellis Leigh or co-writing naughty novellas as London Hale.

2019 Goals – Monthly Author Feature – Miranda Elaine

2019 Goals. I’m a little late reporting my latest goal, but better late than never, right?!

This past month has been crazy busy. My oldest child graduated from college…where did the time go? I just dropped her off at kindergarten I am pretty sure of that?? She really cannot be ready to enter the adult world…she agrees, mostly. Like any young adult – give her space, but give her money. Yeah, I remember those days well myself. How is it I have a child this old, ugh.

Well, aside from graduation, moving children back and forth from schools to home to new apartments and trying to fit in one of the busiest months of reading and reviewing…again…I apologize that I’m just getting to my goals.

Now—Welcome to May!!

I read and reviewed more books this past month than I have in a very long time and May also introduced me to several new authors, but it was the heartbreaking, second chance story by Miranda Elaine of Fixing Us that stood out among everything I read. Miranda broke my heart in the very first chapter and then slowly put it back together in this loving, second chance book. Gabriel Starr was a hero like none I’d ever read and the love he shared for Leigh is so spectacular, I hope you enjoy the book as much as I did and pick it up today.

2019 Goals – Monthly Author Feature – Amy Andrews

2019 Goals. A new quarter and I’m really excited to admit that I’ve reached another goal. Not because I don’t read a lot and didn’t want to to achieve success, but honestly like many people who set goals, or the dreaded “R” word, I tend to usually forget about them, sort of like my exercise plan. So instead of talking about my sorry excuse of an exercise goal, let’s slap another gold star on my 2019 goal!

Now—Welcome to April!!

April introduced me to several new authors, but in the end there was something about Amy Andrews and the coming home feeling that drew me in while reading Nothing But Trouble. Her writing held humor, a slow burn, and the small town feel that held a special appeal for my appetite this spring. Nothing But Trouble is the first book in a new series of Credence, CO. I look forward to returning and reading about everyone I met along the way in her new series and I hope you enjoy Amy Andrews as much as I have.

Nothing But Trouble, an all-new small town romance from USA Today bestselling author Amy Andrews, is available April 30th!

For five years, Cecilia Morgan’s entire existence has revolved around playing personal assistant to self-centered former NFL quarterback Wade Carter. But just when she finally gives her notice, his father’s health fails, and Wade whisks her back to his hometown. CC will stay for his dad–for now–even if that means ignoring how sexy her boss is starting to look in his Wranglers.

To say CC’s notice is a bombshell is an insult to bombs. Wade can’t imagine his life without his “left tackle.” She’s the only person who can tell him “no” and strangely, it’s his favorite quality. He’ll do anything to keep her from leaving, even if it means playing dirty and dragging her back to Credence, Colorado, with him.

But now they’re living under the same roof, getting involved in small-town politics, and bickering like an old married couple. Suddenly, five years of fighting is starting to feel a whole lot like foreplay. What’s a quarterback to do when he realizes he might be falling for his “left tackle”? Throw a Hail Mary she’ll never see coming, of course.

An enemies to lovers romance in the Blue Beech series…

“Five days out of the week, my mornings consist of showering, pouring myself a cup of coffee, and then walking outside to fuck with Chloe before she leaves for work. I consider it our cute little routine.
She most likely thinks of it as a prologue to the day she murders my ass.”

Every day, my neighbor tells me to have a good morning.
Every day, I tell him to f*ck off.
Kyle Lane is the town’s hottest cop.
He’s also the man I’ve despised since high school.
Each morning, he stands on his porch with an annoying smirk on his perfect face.
He’s made it his life’s mission to get under my skin.
Until one day, he’s no longer on his porch but on mine.
He claims he wants to redeem himself for ruining my reputation.
My instincts tell me to stay away, but with each morning he shows up, it becomes harder and harder to resist his charm.
I was never supposed to fall in love with my neighbor and once he finds out my secret, we’ll forever be enemies.

2019 Goals – Monthly Author Feature – Kandi Steiner

2019 Goals. A new month and another goal has been reached!

Yeah Me!

I like gold stars.

I won’t get long winded like last month, since hopefully you read last month’s spotlight and know what the stars are all about. If not, here is the link to last month. Feel free to read what the hoopla is all about along with the awesome author and book I chose to spotlight in January. 2019 Goals – Monthly Author Feature – L.J. Shen

Now—Welcome to February!!

February 2019 brought me Kandi Steiner – and What He Never Knew

I’ve been here before and I know how this ends. Another woman I can’t have. Another woman I can’t stop myself from wanting. This time, I’m staying away. And I’ll keep telling myself that until I believe it.

The Queen of angst strikes again with What He Never Knew!” — Dee Lagasse, author of Without Warning
“I’m a sucker for a forbidden romance and this one hit all the spots. I’m in love.” — Nana Malone, USA Today Bestselling Author
Kandi Steiner is the queen of crafting a difficult story into beautiful moments.” Read the rest of Kay’s Review: What He Never Knew

A standalone teacher/student romance in the What He Doesn’t Know series…

I never learn my lesson.

And I always want what I can’t have.

When Sarah Henderson walks into my life, I tell myself she’s off limits. She’s my student, sixteen years younger than me, and my boss’s niece. It doesn’t matter that I see the same pain reflected in her eyes that I have in my own, or that the dead organ better known as my heart kicks to life when she’s around.

I’ve been here before, and I know how this ends.

It’s been two years since I fell for the last woman I knew I couldn’t have, the one with the ring on her finger that I chose to ignore.

Two years of trying to overcome that heartache when Sarah slides into my life.

Another woman I can’t have. Another woman I can’t stop myself from wanting.

I never learn my lesson, but with a constant reminder of how that last forbidden love burned, I think I’ve finally learned this one.

This time, I won’t chase what’s off limits.

This time, I’m staying away.

And I’ll keep telling myself that until I believe it.

About Kandi Steiner

Kandi Steiner

Kandi Steiner is a bestselling author and whiskey connoisseur living in Tampa, FL. Best known for writing “emotional rollercoaster” stories, she loves bringing flawed characters to life and writing about real, raw romance — in all its forms. No two Kandi Steiner books are the same, and if you’re a lover of angsty, emotional, and inspirational reads, she’s your gal.

An alumna of the University of Central Florida, Kandi graduated with a double major in Creative Writing and Advertising/PR with a minor in Women’s Studies. She started writing back in the 4th grade after reading the first Harry Potter installment. In 6th grade, she wrote and edited her own newspaper and distributed to her classmates. Eventually, the principal caught on and the newspaper was quickly halted, though Kandi tried fighting for her “freedom of press.” She took particular interest in writing romance after college, as she has always been a die hard hopeless romantic, and likes to highlight all the challenges of love as well as the triumphs.

When Kandi isn’t writing, you can find her reading books of all kinds, talking with her extremely vocal cat, and spending time with her friends and family. She enjoys live music, traveling, anything heavy in carbs, beach days, movie marathons, craft beer and sweet wine — not necessarily in that order.

This may have been the third book in the What He Doesn’t Know series, but it can be read as a complete standalone. However, with that being said, now that I have read Kandi Steiner, I will definitely be adding more of her books to my TBR list because I absolutely love her writing and want to immerse myself more in her worlds.

2019 Goals – Monthly Author Feature – L.J. Shen

2019 Goals. I sort of dislike the long word, Resolution. It reminds me of things unfinished; like gym memberships, fad diets, and multiple other items that have never made it past the month of January. However, the small word, Goal, appears much more attainable. Yet I know deep down in my simile of vocabulary geekness, both words mean close to the same thing. It’s not a mental war I wish to further pursue because – hey this is a blog and it’s not about vocabulary and more importantly it’s February so I can literally put a gold star on achieving my goal for the month of January.

Yeah Me!

What exactly am I blabbering on about–

For 2019 I was hoping to achieve something. Yeah, I know you’ve heard it, from like the entire world population. I know.

Like I said resolutions and I don’t get along which is why I don’t make them. BUT, what I do without really writing it down or making a $30 a month commitment because I know I wouldn’t get off the couch and over to the gym since..DUH..$30 a month should be spent on books. Hey, I’ve faced that reality a long time ago and made the smart decision.

So, every year I enjoy reading more books than I did the year before. I mean who doesn’t enjoy reading more books? That notion is just ridiculous, am I right?? Well, some years I achieve my unwritten goal and some years I don’t, suffice it to say, I enjoy competing with myself all the same. Another gold star for me! Okay, I won’t go overboard with those.

This year I did actually decide to try something different. GASP!! I know it’s close to that long R word I don’t like, but I’m still calling it a goal. Since I do reflect at the end of the year and vote on the Best of the Best in certain romance categories, I realized I did need to branch out and perhaps organize my year a little earlier.

So…this year I’m focusing my goal on reading one new author (that I’ve never read) each month. Welcome to January!!

January 2019 brought me LJ Shen – and The Kiss Thief

They say that all great love stories have a happy ending. I, Francesca Rossi, found myself erasing and rewriting mine until the very last chapter. One kiss. Two men. Three lives. Entwined together. And somewhere between these two men, I had to find my forever.

“My absolute favorite L.J. Shen to date. Indulgent and addictive.” – USA Today Bestselling author RS Grey
“This book will ruin you for all other books in 2019” – Bestselling author BB Easton
This book began my 2019 and wrecked me in the most delightful way!! Read the rest of Kay’s Review: The Kiss Thief

From USA Today and Washington Post bestselling author L.J. Shen comes an enemies-to-lovers romance with a twist…

They say your first kiss should be earned.

Mine was stolen by a devil in a masquerade mask under the black Chicago sky.

They say the vows you take on your wedding day are sacred.

Mine were broken before we left church.

They say your heart only beats for one man.

Mine split and bled for two rivals who fought for it until the bitter end.

I was promised to Angelo Bandini, the heir to one of the most powerful families in the Chicago Outfit.

Then taken by Senator Wolfe Keaton, who held my father’s sins over his head to force me into marriage.

They say that all great love stories have a happy ending.

I, Francesca Rossi, found myself erasing and rewriting mine until the very last chapter.

One kiss.
Two men.
Three lives.
Entwined together.

And somewhere between these two men, I had to find my forever.

Losing My Virginity to Romance – Part 3

Losing My Virginity to Romance-Part 3

It wasn’t long before I found the very book I’d held in my hand earlier that week.

Nervously I walked up to the check out counter, handed the librarian my card, the sinful book that I tried to hide by adding other less sinful books to my pile and tried not to look too suspicious. You know basically looking very suspicious.

You see I grew up in a small town a place where everyone knew everybody. As the librarian began scanning my books, stamping the inside cover with a return date, I was hoping that she didn’t notice my sinfully covered book before I made it out of the library. But much more important than leaving unnoticed was that she never mention my new interest in lust and history, yeah, history. That was it. I was just a history buff looking to tap into some…..buff…sexy….historical figures.

Oh who was I kidding? Librarians took some sort of Hippocratic oath and were not allowed to tattletale about young girls checking out bodice-ripping-rakish books, right?

Librarians, Raise your right hand: I promise not to call one’s mother when losing one’s virginity to romance novels. (Or something like that.)

Once I had the book in hand, along with the others that I knew would not forever stain my permanent library record, that is a thing, right? I left feeling giddy as a school girl. Oh, that’s right. I was a school girl.

Anyway, I quickly headed home to devour my new read and can I just tell you, popping my cherry….oh, ah…..well, it was AMAZING!

Sure, everyone has a different first time experience. Mine was quick and probably went a lot faster than I would have liked. Oops. I probably shouldn’t have let that slip, but I just couldn’t help myself. The entire experience was just so darn delicious I couldn’t help myself. I tore through the….pages and couldn’t stop until daybreak the next day.

Oh, he was so worth it.

Drag your mind from the gutter….I’m talking about my first romance novel. Sigh, it still gets me all swoony just remembering it.

I quickly became an addict. Craving the next book like a druggie needs their fix. Overcoming my fear of discovery, I checked out books from the library faster than they could get them in and soon faster than authors could write them. It wasn’t long until I branched out beyond historical romances and discovered an entire world that belonged to the romance genre.

My inner science-fiction geek found I loved time traveling rakes just as much as my historical rakes. A fantastical world where vampires ruled and soothed my inner freak. My adventurous side loved meeting the men who served our country or spied on others. It was a beginning and I loved every man who brought out every facet of me.

I think what I enjoy most about reading each flavor of romance is that no matter what adventure I decide to take, at the end of the day I still enjoy the renewed feelings of what I was looking for when I was just a child. Love. The basic principle that; Love cures all things, fixes all things and with love everything is right in the world.

Yes, I’m an incurable romantic at heart and it is why I will continue to read romance books until the day I wither and fade away, but until then, each new discovery is like unlocking Pandora’s box and I’m so excited to see what delicious man is going to jump out.

Thank you for joining me on my Pandora adventure.

Keep reading, keep writing, and good fortune.

Losing My Virginity to Romance – Part 2

Losing My Virginity to Romance-Part 2

I was still in high school when I was introduced to my first true love. I can remember the moment like it was yesterday.

I was in study hall when a girl I knew sat down across the table from me. There was a paperback book atop the pile of books she was carrying and it was the cover that drew my attention first. A man was standing behind a woman, her bodice haven fallen mostly down her torso. A look of passion upon her face, a look of longing upon the man’s face. It drew up a yearning in myself something I couldn’t quite explain, but knew I wanted.

I asked if I could take a closer look at what she was reading and she handed the book over to me. I felt giddy as the book slipped between my fingers. Of course I took a moment to study the delicious cover at closer inspection before turning the book over to read the book synopsis.

Once I read the jacket cover I had the greatest temptation to flee with the book and never return it. I desperately wanted to know what happened to reform a rake from his rakish ways. I had to know why the woman looked so, so wanting. The story sounded sinful and wonderful at the same time.

It basically came down to—I had to get my hands on that eye candy of a man so he could pop my cherry. I mean….I really wanted to read what I felt I’d been missing in my life. I needed to find out all I could about men because frankly I hadn’t had much luck, so perhaps the woman who was getting her clothes ripped off would be able to help me. Figuratively speaking of course.

I hated thinking I had to give the book back. I’m pretty sure I caressed the cover a few more times before I handed the book back, (not creepy at all) but hand it back I did, reluctantly. But not before I made a note of the author so I could find it at the library.

Side note—Back 100 years ago when I was a teenager I didn’t have a computer, or Amazon, or any of the other convenient ways to just download or buy a book. So heading to the local library was the only way to find the book I wanted to read and head there I did.

Stay tuned for next time—

Losing My Virginity to Romance-Part 1

My love affair with romance began back farther than I can remember. What I do recall is the very thought of being in love as an idealistic notion that sent hearts into my eyes and my thoughts day dreaming of white knights. I knew that love righted all wrongs and I couldn’t wait until the day that the man of my dreams rode up on his white horse and swept me off my feet.

I know, completely cliché, but I was a young girl and these were my dreams. This was of course before I  was thrust into the cruel dating world and I found out how boys truly were, but I’m getting ahead of myself.

My pre-teen years were spent reading various high school series where the awkward girl always wins over the brooding bad boy. She gets amazing friends and all is right with the world. I wasn’t old enough to know reality didn’t quite work that way, yet.

By the time I was an actual angsty teenager I was dying to meet my bad boy heartthrob. The man who would look past my horrible hair-do, braces, and budding awkwardness and fall deeply in love with the real me.

Um……yeah, that so did not happen.

Instead, I lusted after the wrong boys, well, I suppose I was following the advice I’d been reading up to that point. However, the boys in my life had not been reading the manuals as per instructed. They were supposed to change and sweep me off my feet and there would be happily ever after endings for everyone right?

Sadly, no. I suffered teenage heartbreak, turmoil and humiliation. I do believe that part of teenagedom I nailed to a tee. I don’t think I read the correct books to prepare me for this.

So, in between all the angst and hot wrong boys who bruised my ticker, this was the time where I actually did meet my one true love. He came in the form of a bodice ripping, redeemable rake, who was on the cover of a historical romance book. Oh, how my world changed the day I was introduced to my first romance novel. I’ve never been the same since he took my virginity.

Stay tuned for next time—

Features-New Romance Category

Following my promise to keep up with writing and keeping myself organized in 2017; (If you missed my goal oriented article the link is listed below)

Goals-how and when did I get so disorganized

I have a new category to introduce on my site.

Features will be a section dedicated to authors, genres, and everything romance. My hope is it will connect you with the reason you began reading romance.

A featured place to make you think about things such as;

  • Why did you pick up your first romance novel?
  • What genre was your first romance novel written in?
  • Is your first favorite romance novel still your favorite if you reread it today?
  • Are you still reading books written by your favorite author?

I plan to tackle these types of questions, in a featured focus format. I hope you enjoy delving deeper into Romance as much as I am looking forward to this new feature.

Stay tuned for my first featured article, coming soon–Updated February 2017
