The Joy of Us is holiday sweet and melting snow spicy, it’s the best of both and I loved it!!

Levi White is a sweet, cinnamon roll layered with a dirty talking filter AND he’s a Christmas lover, perfect human being all rolled into a delicious looking package. It’s too bad that Fallon Joy, the journalist sent to do a piece on his small Vermont town, loathes Christmas with the passion of a thousand Grinches and can’t get past this utter loathing to enjoy Levi’s finer qualities…or can she?? Levi promises to pull out all the stops, and deliver all the magic Christmas has to offer, whereas Fallon begins to wonder if that magic includes a ride on the man himself.

The Joy of Us is, for lack of a better word, a complete joy to read. From cover to cover I couldn’t stop smiling, well, maybe the times I was blushing, but I’m sure even then I was smiling. I was wrapped in a Christmas hug virtually the entire time, but I was also highly entertained by the rivalry of the Grinch vs. Santa banter between Levi and Fallon and couldn’t get enough.

While Levi set out to prove to Fallon that Christmas is full of magic, he was never once detoured by her grumpy attitude. He actually enjoyed the challenge and his jolly spirit, along with his dog – Dasher, made this book sugar cookie sweet, but then when it turned spicy….hold on to your panties because Levi does not hold back. Fallon and Levi burned up the pages and like I said I still couldn’t stop smiling.

Don’t miss this holiday book because it’s squarely in the DO NOT MISS book category.

This grumpy-sunshine book is top notch!! Tension, chemistry, banter and steamy love, it’s all in here along with an amazing apple orchard and small town characters. I loved this story and it’s the perfect book to curl up and read for fall time.

From the first moment Oakley meets grumpy Finn, the tension between them could be cut with a knife. Their tension, which is actually sizzling chemistry, only gets thicker when they become roommates. Why would that happen when Finn is nothing but a grumpy Gus to Oakley from the onset? Well, little Miss Sunshine steps up and helps him out in his time of need, I’ll leave that wonderful morsel of mystery for you to read, but their new close proximity ups their chemistry one thousand degrees and WOWZA…it is fantastic to watch them grow closer together while falling in love.

However, love is not always easy or straight forward. Oakley lives in California and Finn lives in Vermont. How can they work past the time she’s there to paint her commision and Finn’s entire life is built around his family’s legacy in the orchard? Break my heart.

Every single secondary character is fantastic and I can’t wait to see who all returns in the next interconnected book. Also, the lovely description of Vermont, the orchard and the fall festival, it made me miss everything fall. Can you tell, I adored absolutely everything about this story; the banter, the grumpiness, the steamy, hot love scenes, ALL the fallness, every morsel of every word.

A slow burning, heart healing romance. Give me a man like Easton, cause dayummmmmm, lick my lips, he is sweet, patient, kind, and all kinds of dirty.

This is not the typical boss/employee story, nor is it the typical meet and fall in love romance. Tatum and Easton are both in a situation of duress and it all centers around her ex-husband.

Tatum is on the run from her abusive, soon-to-be ex-husband and staying in the apartment above the surf shop Easton owns and has employed her at as well. There is a sizzling chemistry between these two from the beginning, but Tatum hasn’t pursued anything given her not yet single status and long term history of abuse to go along with it. When her crazy ex suddenly appears Tatum knows she is no longer safe, but Easton promises he will protect her, what he doesn’t realize is how psycho the ex truly is until they both wake up to smoke and flames. With the shop burning down and their apartments located upstairs they barely make it out with their lives intact.

Heading to Easton’s parents beach house for security, he once again promises Tatum safety and a roof over both of their heads until her ex can be caught and their lives can be returned to normal. However, the close proximity only makes their friendship stronger, their feelings they’d tried to bury comes rushing to the surface and all that chemistry they have for one another eventually boils over. It was only a matter of time, but with their guards down will they truly be safe and what will their new normal look like when they return from the bubble they’ve been living in?

The Heart of Us is a slow burn romance, but Tatum has a lot of baggage to work through and Easton is a patient man while she deals with healing the wounds of her past.  As their friendship blossoms, this book feels light on angst because these two get along so well, yet, there is a lot of heartache surrounding Tatum and everything she has survived, so heed any warnings surrounding trauma or abuse in relationships. That woman is a warrior to have survived so much.

I loved the cameos from past characters, but this book is a standalone and can be read without reading any other prior books.

The End of Us speed by as I turned page after page. I will admit, at first,  I wondered how a spoiled brat heiress could charm a toughened, trained bodyguard, but as the pages flew by I was enraptured by this duo.

Piper is a billionaire heiress, but also an influencer all on her own rights. When a stalker threatens her life she is taken to an undisclosed location along with bodyguard and unplugs from all social media, isolating the two of them from the outside world.

The time in isolation is the perfect opportunity for Piper to unplug from her public persona, become more of herself than she has in, probably forever, and really get to know the man who has been guarding her closely for months. Her older, sexy-as-sin, bodyguard, Tristan.

Tristan likes the real woman vs. the fake social persona Piper portrays for her fans and the more time they spend in isolation the more he enjoys spending time with her, but he shouldn’t cross boundaries with her. Not only is her employed by her father, but he’s older and jaded by his experiences. Piper is a shiny beacon he shouldn’t want, but the more time he spends with her it gets harder to stay away.

The heart of this story blew me away and knowing how personal it was to the authors pulled all my heartstrings. The End of Us is a total joy to read. Full of heart, steam, and a bit of suspense.

A perfect blend of sweet and sassy mixed with good ol’ down and dirty. Wanting You Close was the perfect ending to the overall Lawton Ridge series while still allowing Archer and Everleigh time to have their moment in the spotlight.

From the very beginning Archer and Everleigh’s chemistry was off the charts making their love firey and bold. They’ve completed one another on every level which made them a total joy to read.

Even though both of these characters had a past that was creeping in and trying to steal their happiness, neither of them allowed it to snuff out their joy. I loved that they continued to live in the moment and took charge of their surroundings instead of cowering in fear.

Everleigh is the absolute best and I love her take charge attitude in all situations. Because of her personality she not only allowed for free dialogue, which in turn came open communication (whether it’s with her employees, friends, or in her love life) her frank personality in or out of the bedroom allows for a very healthy relationship. She is extremely likable and Everleigh is by far one of my favorite all time book heroines.

If I already didn’t want to move down to Lawton Ridge for Everleigh’s friendship, I’d want to move there for all the eye candy. Archer is not only super sweet and loving, but yummy to gawk at too. All these southern men are lucky in love and this series couldn’t have wrapped up any better.

This is the second half of a book duet and shouldn’t be read as a standalone. It picks up right after the first part. While each book duet in the series does stand on its own, I’d also say that as a reader and fan of the series it is more enjoyable to read them all together and in order since the characters do live in a small town and are all connected. That is, however, my personal opinion.

Fire! Deep fried southern sassy fire!! Everleigh and Archer bring the sweetness and sassiness to Lawton Ridge and it is perfection!

I’ve been eagerly awaiting for Everleigh’s story and the first half of this duet did not disappoint! Everleigh is sassy, big hearted, and befriends everyone who steps in her path. Of course she was going to help her Archer, her brother’s friend when he needed a place to stay. Not only is that southern hospitality, but it is a very Everleigh thing to do. The one thing she was not going to do was stop flirting with the gorgeous hunk of a man, Archer. Flirting was in Everleigh’s genetic makeup and she didn’t know how to turn it off, even if it did infuriate her brother.

Archer spent the last five years of his life in prison and he needed a fresh start. Tyler knew what it was like having been there himself, so when Archer was released Tyler offered him a job and a place to stay. The open arms of Tyler’s family and friends, well, Archer had never really had that before and even though Everleigh was temptation herself, he also knew he didn’t want to mess up and throw away his second chance at a new life. However, as each day progressed, living with the vivacious woman got harder and harder, and remaining friends was down right near impossible.

I love the small town community, but this story in particular really brings home that sweetness of living in a small town aspect. It’s probably Everleigh’s view of living there more than anything. While she loves it, she does point out how hard dating can be or even shopping, but her spirit of loving everyone the joy she brings to every event is super infectious. It’s truly what Archer needed or what any of the guys needed after being released from prison. She is really fun to read.

Archer is also truly sweet. For a man who was locked away for five years, he didn’t let it ruin his soul. He’s respectful, courteous, and just a nice guy. He could have let what happened sour him, but instead he’s looking to be a better man. I really like that and want the two of them to work out, they both deserve it.

This is a duet and this book does have a small dose of intrigue that leaves us on a big cliffhanger. Their pasts have the potential to harm both of them, but which one will really do it, that is the mystery…I can hardly wait to find out because these two need their joy.

As each book has built within this series, all of the characters linked together and their stories all connected, but by far Archer and Everleigh’s connection, sizzling chemistry, and overall story this book can be read as a standalone. Plus, I want to mention they are also my favorite couple by a landslide.
