Beautifully crafted heartache wrapped up in a beautiful love story.

Leo is broken, he’s depressed, and he’s circling the drain. His life is clouded in grief and he can’t find a way out of it. His husband, the man he promised to love, and cherish through sickness and health…Leo can’t come to terms with what those vows mean after suffering a major loss.

Jesse is the stability and light between the two of them and wholeheartedly believes in forever after. He knows Leo is suffering, but he also wishes that Leo gave him one moment to allow his own grief to escape. Instead Jesse is the rock for everyone around him and as the rock he can’t break.

From the beginning of the book, Marley writes this story in such a way that Leo always appears to have one foot out the door while Jesse is all in and desperately pulling on both of Leo’s arms to stay. You see, Leo never had faith in himself even from the beginning of their relationship, so he was already half depleted when their world fell apart. So the question stands…how do you find the strength to support your partner when you have nothing left to even support yourself?

Marley wrote, yes, an intense, but meaningful look at the inside of marriage when it’s not all shiny and rose colored, but instead what can happen to two happy people when the unthinkable occurs.

Leo and Jesse suffer a tragedy and together they each battle through their own grief, but in completely different ways. The highs and lows they faced came in waves throughout this story and I was completely engrossed in each part of the story, grasping for answers, and wanting conclucions before the next wave hit. I loved how Marley wove their past and present together interchanging back and forth so I constantly wanted more and more of their story until the very end.

If you love a really good story mixed with heartache, angst, and a tremendous love, than this book is all of that and more.

I absolutely adore books that are both make-my-heart-melt sweet and make-my-panties-wet steamy. Oblivious hit the spot on both accounts and I’m giving extra props to Leslie because the title was so spot on.😉

August and Noah have been best friends since they were nine years old. Just imaging these two young boys growing up and getting into all kinds of mischief made my heart melt. The pranks they began on one another in childhood continued into adulthood, which led to part of a risqué moment 🔥, but also kept them bonded with true friendship and laughter. August and Noah have something so many of us crave and miss as we get older, a true friend, but Noah also has a secret…he’s been secretly in love with August for pretty much most of his life and once you get a deeper understanding of August I think he’s had the same feelings for Noah, he’s just a tad oblivious to it.

These two men have a true understanding of each other, a partnership at work and even one outside of it. A relationship, if you will, just without the actual label. It’s that label, the romance that’s missing from what they share after all the time they spend together. Literally everyone around them sees it, except for the two of them. Well, mostly August, but Noah isn’t completely blameless either.  They are both oblivious to how the other feels beyond friendship, which is adorable, but also a little frustrating considering they have been friends since they were nine years old. Moving those barriers seems impossible, but not improbable, especially when they are surrounded by wonderful friends and family ready to support them.

How can two people so attuned to one another be so tuned out when it comes to love? Oh these two are just too cute. Watching them fall and then, just like Leslie promises, all…the…proposals ❤️ This book is fantastically perfect 🥰

Synopsis:
My hot best friend has no idea what he’s doing to me.

He sends me naughty texts at the most inappropriate times. He lets me fall asleep on top of him when we watch movies. And his protective side comes out if I dance too close to anyone at our favorite club.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but those are things a boyfriend does. Except August isn’t my boyfriend, he’s my best friend, and those lines are drawn in permanent marker. The one time we tried to cross the boundary between friends and lovers, it failed so spectacularly that we never did it again. So … “friends” is good enough. That’s what I tell myself. Because at least I have him in my life. Without him, I’d be lost.

But after we’re dared to kiss, and that kiss reshapes reality, we agree to be friends who do things with each other. Nakey things.

That makes my life so much better. And so much worse. After all, August doesn’t want to settle down, and he never wants to get married. While I do.

Most importantly, no matter how our relationship changes, he can’t find out I’m desperately in love with him.

Oblivious is a sweet and steamy contemporary m/m romance about best friends who don’t know they’re already dating. Noah and August are always touching, finish each other’s sentences, and bristle whenever the other gets within six feet of a date, but they can’t see what’s crystal clear to everyone else. Oblivious features badly timed schmexy texts, a hot kiss that rocks two men’s universes, and (unofficially, but likely) the highest number of heartfelt marriage proposals in a romance novel ever.

Can this series make my heart grow any bigger or beat any faster…after reading this book I can say…yes, yes it can.

Andrew has been a staple from the beginning and he has the biggest, sweetest heart. As a therapist he is already attuned and sensitive to people and their feelings, but sometimes he misses being attuned to his own. While he was the one to come up with the idea to the Spark of Hope meetings and convinced Ben to hold it at his gym, thus being the sort of behind the scenes fairy godmother in a way to the beginning of several happy and successful relationships, Andrew is obvious when it comes to the man who not only helps him out, but also is standing right beside him, pining after him, wanting him desperately, Miles.

Miles is a criminal prosecutor, which is sort of the opposite spectrum of what Andrew does, but personally Miles is a pretty great guy. However, Andrew is still holding a grudge from years ago so whenever these two have been in a room together Andrew instantly prickles up. However, when Andrew needs Miles help, even thought these two have a lot of water under the bridge Miles steps up and and helps. He’s been waiting for the right moment to make things right and this is finally his chance. He’s not about to screw it up.

This book is emotional, steamy, and emotional, yeah I said it again…because not only is it heartfelt, but it’s also the last one in the series. There are special moments with all of the past characters and Andrew has been there for each of them in some small way. Miles was a total surprise, but in the best way possible. These two guys together were really great and as a couple, Nicole saved the best couple for last, in my opinion. I’m going to miss reading about this world.

Oakley Easton is one of those characters who just make you smile. His fun loving attitude and sunshiny chill vibe is infectious and the fact that Travis is the complete opposite of him on every vibe or wavelength just made this story better.

Oakley’s main goal is for everyone around him to have fun. The fact that Travis doesn’t makes it basically Oakley’s personal mission. This book is sweet, while also super steamy and it’s never once malicious which made this a really great read.

While a friendship between Oakley and Travis would seem inevitable; they went to school together, their best friends are a couple, and now they work together, it was not a given, but Oakley wasn’t going to take a no much to Travis’ kicking and rolling his eyes at first. Luckily Oakley is persistent.

I truly love Oakley’s big, huge heart in everything he does. There is this big openness to him that makes him so loveable. I really, really loved him.

Travis may be grumpy, but he’s not exactly living the life he was dreaming about. Living small town life and working in landscaping is not his ideal, but when Oakley breaks down some of his walls that idealistic life of his begins to change.

I loved these two together and how they made one another better. A really great book.

My heart is wrecked! I’m blown away by this overwhelming, touching story!!

This is the first book I’ve read by Riley Nash and I’m reeling in the feels right now. I honestly did not expect the overwhelming depth and heartache mixed in with the love and friendship that I experienced while reading this book. I am floored by the rollercoaster ride I just went on and I am loving it!

Roman, the young man that bruised and battered my heart in the best way, is such a dichotomy when it came to his character. Roman has been abused by his older brother, who is a dirty cop, for years. On top of the physical abuse his brother emotionally abuses him by manipulating and beating his psyche down because Roman is emotionally mute. Living the life he does doesn’t help Roman’s condition and it breaks my heart on how he truly thinks about himself. It’s not until Roman meets Scout and really let’s go with him that the beauty of who he is, who he’s meant to be really shines through. I wanted to weep so often for Roman, but luckily he had Scout who, even though he’s had a tough life, shines bright for everyone around him.

Scout is such a unique individual. Living in a dumpy trailer, camming to support himself, and yet his perspective on life is always upbeat and positive. He is exactly what Roman needs. Scout doesn’t have family, except for his best friends and they are absolutely fantastic. I loved their openness and quick friendship especially when Roman couldn’t grasp that concept. Roman had been beaten and abused for so long, told he was worthless and no one would want him or like him, trusting Scout and his friends didn’t come easy. Break my heart.

The underlying plot of the book is that Scout is looking for a sub to cam with and Roman is the perfect guy. There is so much more to this book than two guys discovering the ins and outs of BDSM, but it was also a beautiful thing to read about both of them walking the path together because it was new.

I really can’t get over how touching and emotional this book is. However, it is full of lots of darkness to get to that point, but that is what made it so good. I know already that this book will top one of the best books I’ll read this year, it hit that hard. If you are looking to wreck your heart, don’t miss it.

Another great story with some fabulous twists in this latest omegaverse by E.J. Lawson.

Lawson has created an omegaverse world that has combined the here and now with omegaverse characters that make reading this society like I could step outside and actually be living it. Both books in her new series have been written in a way that haven’t felt super sci-fi or too fantastical, but instead I feel like I’m living in today’s society where alphas, betas and omegas are just an everyday way of life. I like it and considering I already enjoy reading Lawson’s books, so I’m already addicted.

Juliet has been attending Omega Academy, training to be a proper omega for the past several years. She’s been hand selected by a top pack in Alaska to be their omega even though they’ve never met in person. It’s a little impersonal, but it’s her duty to go, but it’s while she’s en route to their home that her plane crash lands in the wild and snowy nothingness of Alaska and she’s the only survivor. Seeing a light in the distance Juliet follows and is thankfully rescued by an alpha that was out checking his own perimeter during the winter storm, or her story might have been over before it really began.

Everett brings the cold and barely alive omega back to his home where his other packmates live, hopefully rescuing her in time, but he certainly didn’t know the effect she would have on him or his two other alphas, Huck and Dean as she begins to recuperate. She isn’t theirs even if they want to claim her. There is tension and heat and so many feelings to feel as this story moves along, but it was the twists I never saw coming that kept me turning the pages. Plus those little nuggets on prior characters, I adore them.

This story has all kinds of twists and turns and delicious heat that brews between three healthy alphas and one rescued omega. I really can’t get enough.

Synopsis:
One of the most renowned packs in the entire country chose me to bond as their Omega. Me.

It doesn’t feel real, and yet here I am, boarding a private jet to their estate.

I love this series, but this book…wow…the love, the found family, the deep connection, Abandoned But Not Alone is really special.

Felix is a bright shining light and just plain likable. He’s a wrecking ball when he wants to help, basically making it impossible to say no to the man, so when Felix tells Henry that they are going to be best friends Henry just needed to hold on and get ready for the ride.  Felix is instantly attracted to Henry from the beginning, but doesn’t let his feelings get in the way, assuming Henry is straight with his sweet, lovable daughter lying in his arms, but you know what they say about assumptions…Henry and Felix click in all the right ways and when Felix figures out that Henry likes him as more than a friend…loved it!!!

Henry has never had anyone on his side fighting for him or helping him out. He isn’t quite sure what to think about Felix, Ben, Colby, Andrew or the rest of the people who are insistent on helping him. Giving without expecting something in return isn’t normal in his world, but the longer he’s in Felix’s orbit the more he begins to believe in the power of friendship and the power of healing. His growth from grumpy, alone, needs to do everything himself man is beautiful. It’s during this growth that he realizes he is insanely attracted to his new best friend, Felix, and for the first time in his life wants more than just getting by. He might have finally found a family, the family he’s never had.

I hate kicking Ben and Colby off my favorite couple pedestal, but Felix and Henry have taken over their spot. They are just insanely perfect for one another and with Henry’s daughter, she is the perfect cherry on top.

Love this writing duo together if this is the kind of book we are going to get!!! Reaching Reed was fantastic!! Steamy goodness and also emotionally phenomenal. This book pushed all of my reading buttons and I loved it!!

I haven’t read one of Cora’s books yet, but I have read Nicole’s and I always love how she brings the heat along with the heart. It’s safe to say after reading this book that Cora does the same because their writing was flawless. Both Reed and Carter ended up near and dear to my heart and as much as I wanted to pick a favorite, it was just too hard by the end.

Reed is this blushing, sweet guy, struggling to make ends meet who shows up at Carter’s house, a known camboy, so Reed can earn some money. He isn’t doing it because he’s looking to get into Carter’s pants…initially anyway, Reed really didn’t realize he was attracted to men in the beginning. Or perhaps it’s just Carter…either way…Reed is so hotly adorable in his awakening I couldn’t help but fall in love with him.

Carter is the total opposite. He’s so comfortable in his skin, I wish I was Carter. He’s got a job he enjoys, friends he adores, great parents, seriously…who wouldn’t want to be Carter? Is his head a little big…maybe, but that is what Reed is for, he does help ground him which is also insanely sweet and this is why I couldn’t pick favs. Plus, the stick…I admit I love that idea. That is all I’m going to say about it because you have to experience the stick.

This book is heartwarming and heart pounding with all the steam…have fresh panties on hand you’ll need them!!

Synopsis:

Reed Ellis is absolutely gorgeous, but a total newbie to camming, a virtual nobody in my world.

I should have just deleted his message request for a steamy, on-camera collaboration. Not everyone is cut out to be a camboy. But there’s just something about him I couldn’t resist.

Wow, I just love Nicole’s books! Consistently, they are filled with big emotional punches, steamy passion, and I could read them forever.

I love a good enemies to lovers story, but more than that, I totally melt for characters who were once enemies find that common ground on whatever subject matter they finally connect over and then the chemistry between them totally explodes!! I mean seriously, there is nothing like the bubbling and brewing build up to that explosion, but when it happens it’s always amazing. I need to say that both boys were strong, and different, but nevertheless strong in how they navigated their paths throughout this story. I loved it.

Jameson and Garrison are at odds, going all the way back to kindergarten. They have never really been friends, even though they live in a small town so there isn’t much room to escape one another, which is the bigger problem when it comes to their sexuality. Garrison stumbles upon Jameson kissing another boy and because Garrison is known to be loud and sort of obnoxious, it only infuriates Jameson more that it was Garrison who discovered him. However, for Garrison he was happy it was him since he’s holding his own secret and he would never out someone when it’s their own secret to share.

These two misunderstand one another for so long that when the walls finally come down – or that explosion finally happens – while it’s a moment of steaminess, it’s also a little heartbreaking. Nicole is so great at mixing passion with big emotional moments, you are really there inside the characters head, living that experience with them so it makes everything brand new for the reader as well.

This story is so much bigger than just two boys falling in love. It surrounds small town life, living up to parent expectations and everything surrounding your life upon graduation. I loved how she tackled this book and I can’t wait to see how the next one plays out.

Oh my heart…this story…how can the story of a demon and a human affect me so? This book is written with so much heartfelt emotion and deep felt love, the fact that the love story is not between two humans doesn’t even factor in. It’s beautiful.

I fell so hard for Cas and Lucy in the first book that Ambri and Cole had a tall order to fill with their story, but let me say that this book is true perfection for the two of them and I love Ambri and Cole in a completely separate way, but just as deeply as I do Cas and Lucy.

It’s been a few days since finishing The Muse and I seriously cannot stop thinking about this book. Every character is flawlessly crafted; every trait, every detail was absolutely perfect. Details infused into each character that brought them to life making them realistic to the point that they lept off the page.

I love delving into paranormal fiction and I love the spin that Emma took on demons in this book. The kind of “demons on my back” thought that takes place is a total emotional ride. Ambri a pleasure demon, one who insights lust and desire in others. It’s been his job for a couple hundred of years and he is the perfect specimen for his job. Cole is instantly drawn to him, where Ambri becomes his muse both in human and demon form and it’s exactly what Ambri wants. He needs a soul to take to his superior and Cole is his pick.

While Cole fights off the literal demons hanging around him, he’s also drawn to Ambri…the real Ambri under the dark creature. Cole is a bright light in Ambri’s world, a beacon of hope for a man who hasn’t had any in his entire existence. Cole is so easily likeable and has a huge heart and it’s that huge caring side that draws Ambri to have hope for the first time ever. Can Ambri follow through on his mission or will love prevail?

The Muse is a deeply emotional, touching book full of hope and love. I loved the every word.
