OMG!! Hottest book I’ve ever read…EVER!! Even better, this book has a ton of emotion and a great plot as well. Saying I loved it doesn’t seem to do it justice, but WOW, did I LOOOOOVVVVVEEEE IT!!!!!

There is a lot that leads up to Colin and Madison living in the same house together, but it’s not just a campus house, or an apartment, or even a close proximity that drives their story. Colin and Madison, who are enemies due to all of the circumstances that lead to their homelessness, find their new rooms while working for an adult film company. This storyline is so HAWT I can’t even begin to describe the level of volcanic hotness in this review!!!!! Even more amazing, than my kindle starting on fire, is the emotion Colin and Madison brought to the page. Their story was engaging even aside from the mind blowing naked times. Their vulnerability, their raw nakedness, and I’m not talking about their lack of clothes, it all shines through and what made this book so fantastic.

The entire Nashville Neighborhood series has had all of the best taboo tropes, but this book blew everyone else away. Aside from having MM on the page, everything other combination hit this book, and I do mean everything else. Every situation is explosive and the chemistry between- well, everyone- will warm you up during this cold winter.

HOLY PANTIES ON FIRE!!! Hottest book I’ve ever read hand down!!

I would suggest the Nikki sell this book with an extra pair of panties just as a precaution because – OMG – Wow!

This is an interconnecting standalone, but you do not need to have read any of the books prior to reading this one. You will meet some of the characters from prior books, but it’s not critical to know their pasts to stay updated on what is happening in the neighborhood or to catch on that Judy who runs the HOA is just downright mean and creates some form of chaos in every book.

Lilith and Clay are neighbors, which is how they know one another and it’s through a stray cat that they become better acquainted. Their relationship grows and gets heated rather quickly, as both confirm that neither do relationships, but are willing to commit to just a physical one. While that’s fantastic and everything is going great, unfortunately Clay gets called out of town for business for several weeks and another other alternative, Travis, is called in so they can still keep their intense relationship going. To understand why a “stand-in” is sent to help Clay out, there is so much more going on, more information than I can really give here, but know that everything they do has purpose and holy smokes…it’s like nothing I’ve ever read before.

While this may fall into the forbidden category with an age difference between characters (which is 10 years between the oldest and the youngest), but that aspect isn’t really discussed much, so for anyone looking for an age-gap theme, this isn’t that kind of book. The Architect falls into D/s with an unlikely MFM happening due to certain circumstances. Also know that both men are hetero and keep Lilith as the focal point of the relationship, just in case you’re searching for MMF, it’s not that kind of book, but still insanely hot nonetheless.

The dynamic of how Lilith, Clay and eventually Travis all fall into their unique relationship is something I personally have never read before. Not only was it the hottest thing I’ve ever read, but the story progression was intriguing and I honestly couldn’t wait to see how these three people were going to untangle the web they were creating for themselves. Troy Osbourne came once a week to service both my pool and the freestanding spa. I’d hired him last year to handle closing and covering the pool for the winter, then reopening it for me last month, and his weekly visits that followed had kept the water crystal clear and the pH perfectly balanced.

My pool had never looked so good.

But Troy always came when I was at work and let himself in through the gate at the side of my fence, so I had completely forgotten his schedule. He must have gone behind the pool house and inside to fetch his supplies, and when he’d rounded the corner and discovered me topless, he’d dropped everything in his arms.

Including the long pole with the net on the end.

It was as if someone had put their foot down on the sustain pedal of a piano, only this piano played the music of time, and the moment suspended with my long, drawn out gasp.

I was topless, and he was frozen, and holy shit, he was my best friend’s twenty-four-year-old son.

It burst from my lips in horror. “Oh, fuck!”

 In my panic, I grasped at my towel to cover myself, only to struggle, hopelessly, since it was pinned beneath my body. I leapt to my feet and yanked the terrycloth up, pressing it over my naked chest.

Troy still hadn’t moved. His lips were open, as if he’d planned to say something, but now he was frozen and unable to do anything. I couldn’t see his eyes behind his mirrored Aviator sunglasses, but he didn’t seem to be breathing.

So, I did what any reasonable woman would when a gorgeous, almost-stranger caught her naked.

A steamy, summer romance! Troy and Erika lit the pages on fire, they were so hot that I needed to kick up the air conditioning just to cool off!

The Pool Boy is not only a smexy, delicious read, it is a story about who is really in your court when the going get tough. It’s also a story that is more than a hot, steamy dip in the pool….with a boy. It’s about believing in your dreams, and not only that, but finding the courage, faith and trust to go after them especially after being crushed by your hopes in the past.

Erika believes in Troy wholeheartedly when he doesn’t believe in himself. Troy was crushed in college when he lost his dream of playing professional baseball. When she happens upon him singing in a bar, (Erika is a manager/agent in the music industry) she knows a good voice when she hears one. Just because he happens to be “dipping in her pool” he doesn’t want to take advantage, but also has lost the confidence to pursue his dreams. Luckily, Erika has all the confidence for him and knows just where to lead.

On the flip side, when it comes to a relationship, Erika, being a recent divorcee, isn’t exactly the most confident on going forth with a relationship with a younger man, especially when her last relationship ended in a crashing disaster. Sure, she loves that Troy is turned on by her, but how long can that last? She’s just that much older than him. Won’t he want someone his own age at some point? Can she really be everything that he needs when he has a lot of living left to do? Filled with doubt does nothing great for her ego, but luckily Troy really shines in bringing forth Erika’s confidence and renewing her glow.

Together these two are a perfect match both in and out of the bedroom, which made this a very enjoyable read and a perfect addition to my overall 2020 must read list!

This is a collection of steamy, contemporary stories that revolve around love and the song that inspired it. Personally I felt that some songs were more up front with their musically titled theme than others, but maybe it could have also been that I knew some songs better than others. Regardless, like any anthology I was drawn to certain stories more than others, but overall, the anthology holds something for everyone and for the price you can’t go wrong.

MixTape is packed with excellent authors and lots of steamy romance. Here are just a few of my personal favorites:

“Say Yes”-Elle Kennedy

Have you ever attended a wedding hoping for a quick hookup? Well, Emilia was away for a weekend wedding and she was definitely swiping left and right. Her perfect match, a man named Dirk (really Dirk?) Well, he was the perfect walking wet panty dream, which was perfect for her one night stand. The only snag in her perfect plan was when the bride introduces her (the next morning) to the groom, who just so happens to be none-other than Dirk (yeah, she knew that name spelled trouble).

“Say It First” Nikki Sloane

When Anna Douglas made it big in Hollywood, she didn’t really stay connected to people back home.
