My absolute favorite heartbreaking, sobbing multiple times, but totally worth all the tears series!!!
I’m so excited that everything about this story is in one spot and it can be enjoyed all at once. Even though I’ve read these books before, I couldn’t wait to open the pages and read through them again. All of the love, angst and tears came rushing back and it was just as beautiful to experience all over again.
Say I’m The One is the first part of the duet. It’s super angsty and made me constantly wonder which team do I side with; Reeve or Dillon. Could Siobhan just rip out my heart a little more….ahhhh!?! It is a book that, once you pick it up will not be put down. Thankfully the second one is right there because the angst continues in Let Me Love You.
I swear this is Siobhan Davis’ most emotional book to date!! This book includes high intensity, cliff diving emotions where it was almost impossible to read through all of my tears. Just when I thought my heart couldn’t squeeze anymore or that my throat couldn’t choke back any more of my tears, another emotional moment happens and suddenly the words blurred on the page and I had to stop anyway because I could no longer read what’s in front of me. This happened over and over again while reading the second half of this duet. I was truly an emotional mess. I’m normally a quick reader, but until someone invents windshield wipers for my eyeballs, I had to stop multiple times because it was a tropical storm happening right in front of my face making it impossible to read or even breathe.
Let Me Love You is real in a way that connected to pieces of my life which made those waterworks fall over and over. At the heart and center of the story is Vivian. She is loved, and loves, by two men who are very different, but who are also quite similar. There is a reason for that connection and why it runs so deep, but I’ll let you discover why and how she gets to her final choice. It’s obviously emotional and truly a beautiful story. Can I mention how touching it was one more time? I need a moment to go wipe my face…
Then we get to the some of the best parts of this complete series. Reading Hold Me Close was a heart-twisting, but perfect piece of the pie I didn’t know I was missing. It takes place several years after the original duet when their children are older.
The hardest part of being a parent is never knowing what the ramifications will be on the decisions you make. Every stroke of a butterfly’s wings makes the slightest change in an outcome, at least that is what they say…Children are living products of the choices their parents made years before, but as parents all we see is the beauty of those choices, but as the child in any family…well, life always looks very different. Especially when you are a teenager.
Siobhan never fails to wring every last drop of emotional wreckage out of me, which I absolutely love. I’m soooooooo happy that this bonus material exists, even with all the angst she loves to deliver.

What a thrilling and emotional conclusion to Dirty Crazy Bad!
I expected action, I expected passion, and I also expected a wonderful plot, but what I wasn’t prepared for was the big emotional upheaval that surrounded one tattooed, pierced, and kinky man- named Ares.
Ares continued to surprise me throughout this entire duet, but was especially moved during the second half of this duet. I loved his character growth, but it was his big emotional surprises that kept me guessing on how he was going to react OR not react to everyone that revolved in his life that really touched me. The strife he felt, the weight he carried on his shoulders was felt by everyone around him and it rolled off the pages.
It was apparent that while Ashley was the center of the guys’ worlds, Ares really took center stage when it came to how she moved forward with the whole poly relationship between Jase, Chad and Ares. It wasn’t really meant to be conceited, Ares struggle just ran deeper and watching him navigate it hit right in the feels. ❤️
While Ares was a wonderful complex character, Jase was my loveable favorite- checking off all the boxes I love in a strong MC. His steadiness and strength was easily the best thing about him in this second half of the book and I adored his outlook on their shared relationship when asked how they made it work; Ashley is the center and what she wants she gets…um, yes please!! Can all men take a lesson from Jase? He’s no pushover, especially when it comes to Ashley. He’s the solid strength when she needs whenever she needs it. It’s no wonder he’s my fav. 🥰
I don’t want to say too much about Chad, other than he has a lot of making up to do from the first book. However, he’s so easily forgiven after what he goes through in this one. Now my lips are sealed on Ashley’s first love. I don’t want to categorize him as third, because I also love him dearly and its also hard to choose. I love that Ashley doesn’t settle for choosing either. 😍
Speaking of Ashley, while she isn’t a replica of Lo, because this isn’t Lo’s book, it’s Ashley’s and she is fierce in her own way. Ashley is sweet, sensative, intelligent, and hardcore all rolled into one. She fights for her men while feeling things very deeply. Ashley also realizes that she wants all three men in her life, but she won’t push any of them into something they weren’t comfortable with or that they didn’t want. She’s sort of an empath mixed with a warrior and it’s a great mix and very appropriate for the three men in her life.🔥🔥🔥
Dirty Crazy Bad has a lot of plot wrapped up with the secret society, but not too much that you can’t keep up with everyone involved or all the secondary characters that evolve from it. It is the perfect mix of suspenseful swirled with passion and now that we know all of the players, I’d love to return to this world and get to know a few more of the characters.

Siobhan has blown my mind with this new Luminary world. Plus, she didn’t just create a dark and depraved world, but it’s interconnected, in these little ways, to several of my other favorite worlds she’s created that made my heart burst with joy every time they were mentioned.
Ashley is the center of three men’s world, but those three men do not all get along and they all have their own secrets. The secrets throughout the book not only tear relationships apart, but they also bring others together. It’s great and tore me apart all at once!!
While this is a why choose book, it’s not quite cut and dry. What am I talking about? This isn’t a typical reverse harem where all of Ashley’s love interests have been friends for years or have grown up together. Her particular situation is very unique and I totally loved their dynamic which not only spiced up the tension, but also made for lots of a new plot twists. I switched on which guy I was rooting for, at which point in the story, multiple times. I LOVE when Siobhan does that to me.
This book is full of so much and yet it’s only the first part of the story. I’m dying over the cliffhanger and can’t wait to return to find out how it all ends!!

Review: Vengeance of a Mafia Queen starts off super steamy, then instantly turns super dark and the story never stops on this rollercoaster spectrum. It’s a mind blowing ride that hits all the emotions!
Catarina and Massimo are super angsty, hot, witty, full of tension and steam. This entire story is fast paced from beginning to end and I adored Massimo with his easy-go-lucky personality which fit to perfectly to Catarina’s high strung one. They balanced each other out while never breaking that ever growing chemistry.
Catarina is focused, smart, sharp, and always five steps ahead of what she wants to achieve. That is until Massimo steps into her life. He throws her off like no one has in her entire life. She is juggling a lot of balls and she can’t allow something like – feelings – to mess up her ultimate goal.
From the beginning, Massimo is all in and Catarina is the woman he wants. Catarina just isn’t on same page with wanting him back. Their relationship is kind of adorable because of this dynamic where he’s totally obsessed with her and she’s stoic and fighting him at every turn. It’s really easy to fall in love with Massimo – who knew a made man could be so sweetly-likeable?
While there are some dark topics, after all this is a dark, mafia book, it’s all relevant to the main theme of the story. What I love is that Catarina takes no prisoners and doesn’t back down just because she’s a woman working in a very male dominated world. She doesn’t apologize for her methods, nor does she allow men to pick up slack because she’s female. I loved her strong character.
On the flip side, I adored Massimo and his willingness to concede to Catarina, knowing how strong she is, but also to take control when she clearly needed the down time. He could read her better than she could read herself sometimes. He’s totally obsessed with her take-charge personality, which is perfect so I’ll say it again, they are a really great match.
Vengeance of a Mafia Queen is delicious on every level. It takes place in the Mazzone mafia world and while reading those books would enhance this books reading experience, it’s not necessary to read them prior to this book as it can be read as a complete standalone.

Being a mother is exhausting.

These two are intense…wowza!
Vander made my heart race every time he was on the page, but not for the reasons you would think. Yes, he’s attractive and fully in love with Kendall from the very beginning. Between the title and the genre, Scared to Love was nothing like I was expecting. Instead it’s a love story that reached well beyond my expectations and I loved every moment of it.

This book happens right alongside the other two books and then eventually moves into its own timeline, but Scared to love intersects the timelines of the other Mazzone books, so I would suggest reading the other two books in the series to help make sense of the secondary characters and how the plot lines up. Alesso and Rena have had a smoldering chemistry for years, which have been mentioned in the other two books, while Rena has been married and now a widow. This is now their story and we get the dark and inside look as to what those looks meant.
Everything that has been building within the mafia comes to a head and so many questions are answered. It’s the culmination to so much while this love story is emotional, healing, and beautiful all at once.
