What a reading rush!! Riley Cross has her hands full with this harem and I’m so here for it!!

Where Riley is night and day different from her best friend Scar, the men who fall for Riley are just as extreme. This is Riley’s first year at university, and like many students, she’s feeling the shift and change that that milestone brings. What she didn’t factor in is the guilt that followed her from what happened while she was protecting her friends while they were at the Academy, nor the aloneness that plagues her as she watches everyone around her fall in love. Is it karma that the most intense man begins to stalk her? It’s not the relationship she was after, nor the deep love affair she wanted when his intense gaze burns from afar everywhere she goes, but he never says a word to her when she’s close. Riley begins to believe she’s broken and my heart ached for what she desires…to be wanted, to be needed, to be loved.

Ridge is her obsessive, psychotic stalker and he is a fascinating character to say the least. He is definitely an antihero who is unapologetic of everything he does, intense to the extreme, yet he is protective, territorial, and weirdly loving in his own way when it comes to Riley. Is everything he does for her right? In his mind, yes, and at the end of the day that is what his obsession is all about. There were so many unique and dark facets to his character that I loved unraveling and I can’t wait to dig even deeper as this storyline progresses.

Maddox is the shiny, take home to meet your parents, guy and this is the boy that Riley gravitates towards in the light, even when her dark side reaches out for Ridge in the dark. I also have a feeling of, don’t let Maddox’s pretty boy shine fool you, that we’ve only scratched the surface with him and I can’t wait to find out more of his backstory, especially since he seems like the stabilizer between Ridge and Lev.

Now Lev…this book just scratches the surface and OMG…he’s one scary dude. If you thought Neo was the ultimate big, bad nightmare…Lev has nothing on him. Lev is apathetic and cruel a combination that gave me chills every single time he interacted with Riley. There is a story behind why he is the way he is and I can’t wait to crack him open and find out that very reason, bring on the goosebumps.

I couldn’t put this book down once I began and I now can’t wait to dive back in for more. This is a very dark book, but I loved where the story went, just be prepared if those triggers aren’t your jam.

Jase stalls on the step above me as Mom and Ares continue to the upper level where Ares’s, Chad’s, and my bedrooms are. “What’s wrong?” he asks, turning to face me.

“You need to sleep down here,” I say, leaning against the banisters as I try not to let the crestfallen look on his face get to me.

“I don’t expect anything, Ash, but I want to stay with you. To make sure you’re okay.”

“I’ll be fine. I have already taken pain meds, and I’ll just set my alarm to wake me every few hours.”

He folds his arms across his broad chest as his emerald eyes peer into mine. “I know I hurt you and I need to make it up to you. I know it’s not as easy as me saying I’m sorry or that I was trying to protect you. But please don’t shut me out. You are injured, and someone should stay with you.”

“I’ll stay with her.” Ares’s gruff voice echoes from above.

I look up, spotting him hanging back on the top step.

I expect Jase to argue. There is little love lost between those two. But he surprises me.

He fixes his gaze on Ares. “Make sure you wake her every four hours. And come get me if there are any issues during the night.”

Ares equally surprises me when he nods agreeably.

Jase pulls me into a tender hug. Pressing his warm lips to my ear, he whispers, “I love you, Temptress. Whatever you need, I will give you.”

Tears stab my eyes at his words. I know what this must be costing him. “I love you too,” I whisper, stretching up to kiss his cheek. “But that doesn’t magically solve all our issues.”

“I know.” The look of adoration on his face as he tucks stray strands of pink hair behind my ears is almost enough to change my mind. “We need to talk about a lot of things.”

I bob my head as I extract myself from his embrace and move around him. “Yeah, we do. Night, Jase. Sleep well.”

What a thrilling and emotional conclusion to Dirty Crazy Bad!

I expected action, I expected passion, and I also expected a wonderful plot, but what I wasn’t prepared for was the big emotional upheaval that surrounded one tattooed, pierced, and kinky man- named Ares.

Ares continued to surprise me throughout this entire duet, but was especially moved during the second half of this duet. I loved his character growth, but it was his big emotional surprises that kept me guessing on how he was going to react OR not react to everyone that revolved in his life that really touched me. The strife he felt, the weight he carried on his shoulders was felt by everyone around him and it rolled off the pages.

It was apparent that while Ashley was the center of the guys’ worlds, Ares really took center stage when it came to how she moved forward with the whole poly relationship between Jase, Chad and Ares. It wasn’t really meant to be conceited, Ares struggle just ran deeper and watching him navigate it hit right in the feels. ❤️

While Ares was a wonderful complex character, Jase was my loveable favorite- checking off all the boxes I love in a strong MC. His steadiness and strength was easily the best thing about him in this second half of the book and I adored his outlook on their shared relationship when asked how they made it work; Ashley is the center and what she wants she gets…um, yes please!! Can all men take a lesson from Jase? He’s no pushover, especially when it comes to Ashley. He’s the solid strength when she needs whenever she needs it. It’s no wonder he’s my fav. 🥰

I don’t want to say too much about Chad, other than he has a lot of making up to do from the first book. However, he’s so easily forgiven after what he goes through in this one. Now my lips are sealed on Ashley’s first love. I don’t want to categorize him as third, because I also love him dearly and its also hard to choose. I love that Ashley doesn’t settle for choosing either. 😍

Speaking of Ashley, while she isn’t a replica of Lo, because this isn’t Lo’s book, it’s Ashley’s and she is fierce in her own way. Ashley is sweet, sensative, intelligent, and hardcore all rolled into one. She fights for her men while feeling things very deeply. Ashley also realizes that she wants all three men in her life, but she won’t push any of them into something they weren’t comfortable with or that they didn’t want. She’s sort of an empath mixed with a warrior and it’s a great mix and very appropriate for the three men in her life.🔥🔥🔥

Dirty Crazy Bad has a lot of plot wrapped up with the secret society, but not too much that you can’t keep up with everyone involved or all the secondary characters that evolve from it. It is the perfect mix of suspenseful swirled with passion and now that we know all of the players, I’d love to return to this world and get to know a few more of the characters.

A fascinating, spine-tingling book!!

Serial killers, murderers, obsessions, stalkers, the entire category of unnatural death and what drives a person to that become unhinged…I have to say this book was like opening up the skull to a psychopath and digging inside. I couldn’t look away. I was enthralled to dig deeper and on top of everything this had such a great backstory. I loved it!!!!

Lyra and Thatcher are so intertwined and that is only part of the fascination between them. On one side Thatcher is calculated, cold, and comes off as a true psychopath. On the other, there is Lyra who is warm, talkative, a bit awkward, but incredibly sweet. They appear as complete opposites when you see them side by side, but there are so many similarities when you begin peeling back the layers and below the surface. Once again I will say, I was truly fascinated by their story and couldn’t stop reading. This is a very long, slow burn in the romance department, but it didn’t detract from the burning chemistry that brewed between them. It only seemed to light the pages on fire even more as they circled the dark danger that called to each of their inner demons.

For the story of Lyra and Thatcher this book can be read as a standalone…or let me correct myself and say, as a duet. This is book one and it ends on a GAH! of a cliffhanger, but as for their story you don’t necessarily need to know the other books. However, for the ever evolving storyline of what is happening in Ponderosa Springs, reading the prior books becomes helpful for context clues.

I know I will be waiting with baited breath for the next part of this duet because there is so much more to tell and they have barely dug below the surface of what has flourished between them.

There were so many secrets that unraveled, one after another, leading right up to a twisted ending!

Twisted Secrets really was the perfect title for this perfectly twisted finale. Not only were there multiple secrets revealed, but there was also twisted up feelings, twisted up friendships, suspense and mayhem was also twisted up in this gloriously page turning finale. Everything was brilliantly tied up and I was spectacularly happy with twisted up ending.

Whew…I wonder if I can fit the words; twists and secrets, a few more times in this review??

As for Scar and her three men…well, I’ll leave with this…they go through a lot in this final book. Neo doesn’t make anything easy on anyone, but as we’ve come to know, that’s just Neo. However, the darker the antihero, the deeper we all seem to fall, so Neo gives quite a ride to say the least. As for Crew and Jagger, they get their moments too, because this wouldn’t be a finale if they remained a silent doormat.

Twisted Secrets is twisted, there are a lot of turns and secrets that I never saw coming, and this last book is stuffed full of emotions, which I don’t want to say threw me, but it was another twist.

This entire trilogy was fantastic from beginning to end. I loved diving into this dark, depraved world and would totally recommend to anyone who loves reading morally gray characters.

From the very beginning of this book I was drawn into the gripping story. While this may be the third book in this series, it almost reads like a complete standalone. The fantastical stories that makes up both Rose and Ronan’s backstories are fascinating, intriguing and just really darn good that their love flows so organically it made the book fly by.

Ronan comes across in the beginning as emotionless, yet compassionate, while also caring, but also without empathy. He’s a total mixed bag of contradictions and I was instantly drawn to his character the same way he was drawn to Rose. He didn’t quite understand why he couldn’t stay away from her, he just had this pull, this incessant need to stay by her side and without emotions guiding him, he truly didn’t know why. When his dam finally breaks open and he’s flooded with everything, and I mean every single emotion and feeling. It is literal years and years of emotions that humans spend a lifetime building up, gaining tolerance to, learning how to control, etc…that hit him all at once. I have to say Ronan becomes even more fascinating from this point forward. I was truly enthralled by him as I’ve never read anything or anyone like him before and I gobbled up every word.

Then we have Rose Thornheart. The sister that everyone feared would parish by the time her trial would be called forth. However, Rose becomes more than she appears and with the help of Ronan by her side, she will not only find a way to complete her trial, but find an inner strength that rivals her sisters. Rose is so strong and that statement right there I know is so contradictory to how she begins the story, but strength is measured in so many ways and it’s not always physical strength that wins the day. She and Ronan are my favorite couple in this series, so far, and their love for each other was such a thing of beauty to read.

I have an amazing husband (Married just over 15 years.)

We have two boys we’re doing our best to raise as respectful gentleman.

I have a master’s degree in criminal justice which I used to work as a juvenile probation office until deciding to write full-time in June of 2019. So that means there’s usually always some criminal/law element to my novels.

If I’m not writing; I’m reading.

My favorite genres recently are bully/reverse harem and enemies to lovers. Maybe I’m reliving my traumatic teen years through the girls who actually end up with the boys. (Not that I would change my history since it’s gotten me exactly where I need to be!)

I love coffee. I miss carbs. Music is LIFE. I try not to be too serious.

Instant spark, chemistry and total fire!! I loved Brutal Saint from beginning to end.

I admit, the title of the book is a bit duplicitous. Cole’s role within the Saint family is an enforcer, so his nature of how to be brutal is known wide and far, but when he’s not working his personality is completely opposite of that man. Cole’s softer side is all about pleasure and taking care of those he cares about and boy did I envy Harlow multiple times throughout this book. The two sides of his personality come together where he’s commanding and dominant, but it all revolves around pleasure and making sure Harlow is well taken care of. Yes, please!!!

Harlow easily slipped into submission, without even knowing she was doing it. Her life has never been easy, so to have someone take over and instantly take care of all of her needs, it was like the best vacation she’d never been able to take before with the hottest man alive. Trying to fight Cole…why bother, am I right? Kidding, Harlow is an amazing character, independent with spirit, but also a huge heart. I loved her!!! These two are my absolute favorite, so the last two Saint boys have a lot of catching up to do to kick them out of the top spot.

From the very beginning of the book these two were fire and also involved in the ever evolving plot without realizing it. I loved how the plot unfolded, not only between these two, but also as a whole. While the Saint family continued to search for information on Grayson’s killer, Harlow was caught in the middle of that investigation. As the twists kept coming and I was gobsmacked over how it all unfolded Harlow fit in perfectly by Cole’s side through the entire story.

This book ends on another great cliffhanger with the continuing mystery moving on and the next brother on deck. It’s getting tense and I can hardly wait to find out more.

Non-stop action and the boiling chemistry between two brilliant, tech savvy characters. The page-turning reading was explosive!!

What would you do to save a loved one? What lengths would you reach? What desperate measures would you take? Quinn and Colton are cut from the same cloth. Not only are they both technical geniuses, but they are also both motivated to protect their families at all costs.

Quinn will do everything to help and protect her brother, Sammy, to the detriment of her own personal being and Colton has that same burning drive inside. He will do anything to keep his brothers, the Crowned Crows; Wren, Jude, Levi and by extension their girlfriends, Isla and Rowan, safe and protected.

It was truly exciting to read Quinn and Colton, not only come to terms over their raging inferno feelings for one another, but bicker with like an old married couple with fantastic wit because their chemistry was through the roof. They shared a comradery with their tech skills, which added a hotness factor you wouldn’t expect, but their chemistry was nuclear.

Colton is like the energizer bunny and just never quits. His humor, his brain, his quick wit, basically everything about him is infectious. How Quinn ever kept her wits about to even begin to code was a mystery. Although to be fair taking down a huge kingdom like the Crows is no easy task, but now with two hackers in the nest, it almost seems possible, that is as long as Quinn doesn’t stab everyone in the back.

A Fractured Reign is suspenseful, mega hot, and full of playful wit in the face of constant adversity. Keep in mind the Crows always walk in shades of gray. They aren’t necessarily bad guys, but they aren’t the good ones either. I love this group and adore how it’s grown with the perfect women by their sides.

While this is a new couple with a super hot romance and is a standalone in that respect, the underlying plot of what the couple and what the Crows are facing is an ongoing, suspenseful situation.

Synopsis:
The Crows are more than nightmares lurking in every shadow.
They’re a brotherhood. Family. When threats creep in, they’ll protect what belongs to them.
