Big, tough hockey player who is shy, blushes, and is a little bit naughty…oh my, Fitz, you completely stole my heart.

Rosie is sweet, tough, and also a bit of a hot mess, but she is the kryptonite to Fitz’s voyeuristic tendencies and I totally loved her character. Rosie is the salty to Fitz’s sweet which made a perfect blend, both in and out of the bedroom, for this new couple in the Comets world.

Fitz’s duality of shy guy and aggressive hockey player was incredibly endearing. His down home, raised by his mama right, sweet side is toothacheingly nice. And speaking of teeth- or missing one in particular- Rosie is enamored by Fitz’s toothless smile. Yeah, these two are just too cute.

Now, let’s talk about his naughty side. The one he keeps to himself, sort of. Rosie plays a big part in his fantasy kink and I love this side of both Fitz and Rosie. Talk about empowerment to both of them. 😍

This book is truly the best of both adorable and naughty. I loved this continual mash up that walked the line along with lots of moments where the other couples popped up or stopped in to give advice to this blushing or tongue tied couple.

Neutral Zone is both seriously cute and hot all wrapped into one book.

What do you get when you mix a grumpy hero with a prickly, single mom? Pure magic!! Glove Save was reading greatness!!

The jabs and banter between Jacob Greer and Stevie Thomas was true literary porn for my reading pleasure as they were both full of antagonistic barbs. There is nothing I love better than well written sarcastic wit and Greer and Stevie had no trouble sparring in that arena, plus it helped build the slow burning tension between them to great heights, until it finally boiled over in a raging inferno. A kinky, blazing inferno. Who knew these two would be so yummy?

While Jacob is completely up front that he will never, ever fall in love, Stevie is pretty much on this train of thought given her current ten year old daughter and hectic life. While neither will say no to having some fun, unfortunately for Stevie it just doesn’t happen very often given that she has said ten year old. It’s always the ones to run from such notions that end up falling the hardest, am I right??

However, this story isn’t really about Greer and Stevie, it’s really about Macie, Stevie’s ten year old daughter. She’s a spitfire and I totally love her. She gives Greer grief and is completely true to herself. You can’t leave this book without completely falling for this great kid.

Glove Save is another hockey goal win for the Carolina Comets as I continue to be hooked on this series.

When I really stop and think of my favorite trope this is it!! Virgin hero and bookish heroine…it was all the sugary goodness and so much more!!

Grady Miller completely messed up when he introduced himself to Scout Thomas at a party, a woman he sees almost daily when he orders donuts at her truck…ouch. Not only did he potentially mess up the chances of her spitting in his favorite sugar snack, but he messed up in asking her out. How could he screw up so bad? Well….Miller has only ever had one focus in life….hockey…and that leads us to his other problem….which is sort of tied to his lack of finesse in asking out cute donut makers, but I’m getting ahead of myself. Miller is just awkwardly adorable and yes, he may be a famous hockey player, but he also happens to be a virgin. He’s sweet and tenacious and so full of love for the right girl…I loved getting to know Grady Miller while he got to know Scout.

Scout Thomas is the woman behind all the delicious donuts that the hockey team loves to devour. She also has had a crush on Miller for the past couple years, so when he comes up and introduces himself, she is crushed. How could he not recognize her when she knows his favorite donut? However, when he continues to show up and tries really, really hard to redeem himself, it’s basically impossible to stay mad at the large, tenacious man. Their friendship blossoms and then blooms into something more and even she can admit that her crush never went away, but can she really hold the attention of a famous NHL player?

Scoring Chance is light on angst and I adored their text threads (which are always funny in this series) and basically how the two of them (who are not masters at relationships) fell in love. A chef’s kiss story.

This couple is sooooo super sweet; they are that special donut, filled with cream, topped with sprinkles that give you a sugar coma feeling, but you want to eat again and again.

Oh my hot hockey player!!! This is the hottest Carolina Comets book yet!

Owen Smith is by far the hottest, smexiest man and oh my, did he incinerate all of my panties right off my body! (fanning myself) There is just something about an older man who knows what he wants and doesn’t hesitate to pleasure his woman. Is it hot in here? I mean I know it’s summer and all, but I needed to crank up the air contitioning while reading this slice of delicious apple pie. -wink-

Smith may be one of the oldest members on the Comets hockey team and he takes a lot of ribbing from his teammates for that very fact, but Smith has dedicated his life to the very sport he loves, which might be coming closer to ending than he would like. What does a man who’s lived, breathed, and loved a sport above everything else finally do when it ends? He’s only ever felt passion like when he’s on the ice one other time in his life and unfortunately rekindling with her just isn’t possible, she’s the coaches niece and works for the team. Losing his career before he’s ready to give it up doesn’t seem logical, but when Emilia’s around Smith’s brain tends to short circuit.

Emilia Anderson loves her job and currently she has a chance for a promotion. One she’s been working tirelessly for and has a real shot at, except it comes with working closely to the one man she also works very hard at staying away from, Owen Smith. A few years ago before Emilia began working for the Comets they spent a fantastic weekend together, but once she discovered who he was she knew it could never happen again. For over two years they have successfully avoided one another, but now it’s unavoidable and everything she’s worked for is on the line. Can she risk her heart along with everything she’s worked for?

If you believe in fate, second chances, hot, hot chemistry, and found families then this book will make you swoon and will certainly light you up. Have a cool beverage nearby to cool off because Smith and Emilia together are pure fire!!

A sweet, surprise pregnancy romance with the perfect splash of humor and the right mix of chemistry.

A one-time wedding night decision leads to a lifetime of commitment. Oops! Neither Hollis nor Lowell were looking for more than just a one-night stand when they hooked up on a wedding night, but when Hollis discovers that she’s pregnant their one time together turns into so much more.

As far as a love story goes, this one was sweet and held no surprises. Their love developed slowly, even though their passion burned bright right from the beginning. What I really enjoyed, aside from Lowell’s sweet words, were the moments splashed through out where Hollis or Lowell spent time with family or friends. The secondary characters were perfectly placed to add the right amount of tension or comedy relief or emotional support all without taking away from the ongoing plot. It allowed my favorite past characters to shine while getting great insight into future plots. Poor Miller, now I say poor, but really he takes being everyone’s punching bag with gentle ease, I’m looking forward to the day he gets his book, hopefully.

The next best part, and I’ve enjoyed it with each of the Comet books, is the text messaging between main characters. Teagan has mastered the art of witty texting. I love reading the back and forth banter and laughing my way through those chapters each and every time.

The Carolina Comet world is growing and I can’t wait to return and see who helps expand it next.

Who falls in love with their spouse after saying the words, “I do?” Adrian Rhodes and Ryan Bell are candidates for this very statement. Two similar souls with wounded hearts find themselves living up a night in Vegas and jump into a night they both never forget…or is that saying…a night they do forget due to being highly intoxicated. It could have ended that way except that it was recorded and posted online so maybe they won’t forget it after all. Either way, Rhodes and Ryan leave with a non-refundable present in each other. What happens in Vegas sometimes gets splashed all over the internet, like their last minute wedding. Now what?

This is a grumpy-sunshine, hockey romance with lots of humor and tons of heart. While this is a version of Beauty and the Beast, I love the vulnerable side that Rhodes offers up multiple times showing us that not all men live vain and egotistical lives. His grumpy side comes from a place of long time hurt, where he’s pretty much given up all hope of being happy in love, but Ryan truly sees him for more than just his vain outer shell. She may be the Beauty in this tale, but she digs below the surface and looks beyond the flaws to see inner beauty in those around her. I love that.

Mixed in with all the humor is a truly beautiful tale of loving one’s self and finding hope when you sometimes feel hopeless. These two will bring a lot of laughter, but also prepare for those heartstrings to be tugged as well.
