Forbidden perfection!!

Dirk is one dirty talking dream that flew right into the deep recesses of my forbidden heart. Seriously, who knew that Hutch’s little brother was such a panty-dropping dreamboat? Fantasy fulfilled, thank you Tia!!

I never would have guessed the total plot perfection that Forbidden tied up with a beautiful- no stone left unturned- bow. It is reading magic and I love when that happens. Plus…the epilogue…oh, the epilogue, is pure gold!! So, with all of that being said, while this can be read as a standalone, for obvious reasons as you can see above and for the most reading enjoyment, I wouldn’t miss out on the rest of the series, why would you want to, but you can if you want to.

Dirk Winston begins teaching at a college about an hour away from Hamiltown. Putting his teaching degree to use he decided he needed a break from cybersecurity and all of the loving relationships that have sprung up around him. While he loves his brother and newly found family, he just needed to get away, but it seems that even when trying to get away from everything, he just can’t seem to escape his past.

When Rainey enrolls as a student under the false name of Reanna Lorak, changing her appearance from the last time Dirk would have seen her on any kind of surveillance camera, Rainey now looks like a typical college senior. She’s given a mission to retrieve a ledger that contains secrets only her organization would understand and that her new leader desperately wants. Rainey may take the mission under the pretences of handing it over to her boss, but she has own mission in mind, getting revenge for her father. It also doesn’t hurt that upon meeting Dirk that there is an instant attraction for the Professor and considering the life she’s led, she decides she wants him for herself. It’s forbidden on so many levels, but something this forbidden feels so right.

Forbidden is super high heat, with a wrap up to an ongoing storyline, but can also be followed along for any reader who has just jumped in. If that’s you, you will want to go back and read the rest, trust me!! You will fall in love with the rest of the cast by the end of this book and want to know everything.

I can’t decide who my favorite couple is, so I’m not going to…I love them all!!

I love a book that empowers one’s self identity to grow and Gia embodies that journey from beginning to end. Between the gorgeous symbolism with all of the butterflies and Gia’s personal story of spreading her wings, this story is not only steamy hot, but it’s beautiful as well.

I don’t know why it took me several chapters to realize that Trip was a secondary character from the past few books of Tia’s, but probably because this book stands completely his own. While Hana and Blake do pop up as timelines cross, I really enjoyed getting to know Trip as his own man.

Trip is a wealthy man. He owns multiple businesses, one happens to be a gentlemen’s club, but ironically he isn’t all that into strippers. His mind tends to wander as to what hardship might have brought them to the point of stripping, or if they have a hard life, etc…instead of enjoying the entertainment. That is until Glitter Girl takes the stage and suddenly he can’t take his eyes off of her.

Coming to America is nothing like Gia expected. Her dream job went belly up, she’s about to be homeless, and her fiancé is no longer her fiancé, but still her best friend since he is also looking for his own Prince Charming. When she feels like she’s run out of options she’s given a chance to dance, but it requires taking off her clothes, she’s hesitant, but it’s beats living on the street, so Glitter Girl is born.

Could Trip be her new Prince Charming or like all of her other American dreams will it go belly up? Can she trust her instincts and spread her wings or will Trip only be interested in her mystery and allure?

I loved their dynamic between her seductive innocence that was also super sweet – yes it totally makes sense – and his dirty beast side mixed with a big heart.

A hero doesn’t always recognize they are a hero…Scar and Hana both have their moments of heroism in this beautiful, and yes, wonderfully filthy book, but their emotional growth is simply heroic.

Dang, did I love this book!!! I totally want to leave my review with that simple sentence, but….Scar was all that and every bag of chips in the chip aisle. He has a dark history. It’s one that is complicated and best read when the time is right, but he’s also the gentlest giants when it comes to Hana who had been abused and for the first time in her life feels safe around him. He’s one of Tia’s best wounded heros and his story is stunning with twists and so much love.

Hana has her own dark past, but the growth she’s had from her sister’s book through the end of this one is wonderful. I adored how she helps Pepper, Hutch’s niece, and takes her own happiness in to her own hands. She has grown into a woman that deserves to stand by Scar’s side.

Their relationship is sweet, and super, super hot, but also has its own complications, so I’m back to saying I loved everything about it!!

This book is non-stop adventure and I hope we get to visit these characters again, especially the vivacious Pepper, Hutch’s niece. She’s just too adorable.

I love Tia Louise books and I’ve been loving this Bayside series, but I admit, Tangled Up was harder to sink my teeth into than the other books in this amazing series.

While I love the premise of a second chance romance (since I’m a product of that in my own personal life, I honestly love this trope), this couple ran hot and cold and I wanted to shove their faces in what they didn’t want to admit so we could stay on the hot side of the story. There were a lot of great moments (don’t get me wrong) I just lost the spark in the in-between moments.

Beck and Carly were a teenage couple that ran into trouble back when they were in college. Beck went on to become a doctor and Carly is a criminal psychologist, both with amazing careers by the way, but neither have really moved on from their great loves (which happen to be each other). When they both are back in their hometown, for reasons, after seven years apart, it seems as if fate has brought them together to reconcile, but it takes a whole lot more than a little hot reconciliation to make up for what happened in the past.

Can these two make up for what they lost before they lose a chance at a future again?

A lot of this story takes place back in their hometown of Eden and there are a lot of new secondary characters that pop up in this small coastal town where Beck and Carly grew up that sound very interesting for future books. While this particular book didn’t hit home with me, I still adore Tia Louise and her writing and this interconnected series has been a huge win overall.

Mr. Freeze and Fiery Redhead, this chemical reaction of course would create steam when they get together, BUT let’s talk about the dominant, alpha, a-hole….Spencer. He is all things filthy when his expensive suit comes off. Oh my, yes, and please.

Joselyn or Sly or Sin…whatever you want to call her, I love her fiery soul. She is full of sass, fire, and spirit. Exactly what Spencer needs, but refuses to acknowledge because he is of course Mr. Freeze.

While I could go on about how hot these two are, there is also a part of the story that made my heart race for an entirely different reason. Joselyn is staying with her sister, Courtney, while she has a restraining order on her ex, is still coming around threatening that he wants to see his son, Ollie. My heart was pounding out of my chest so many times over tense moments and Tia was a master at weaving these tense moments with all the smexy times.

As much as Spencer or Joselyn didn’t want any trouble in their lives, they both find themselves in the thick of it and this book is fantastic for dipping your toes into a whole pot of delicious trouble.

I fell for Scout in his brother’s book, I cannot tell a lie. I was really looking forward to learning more about Scout and the woman who would bring this easy, laid back, funny man to his knees. Tia gives us the perfect glance into the man Scout is, how he became the man he is, and the after affects of that infamous car ride with his brother in Twist of Fate. Every bit of this book is perfect!

There were certain bits and pieces that we knew about Scout from reading This Much is True, but for new readers you can read Twist of Fate as a complete standalone if needed. However, I loved learning more about the horrible pitfalls that Scout fell into and I especially loved learning about the one woman that held his attention, that woman that got away, Daisy.

Before Scout ever left for Hollywood to make a career on the big screen, he lived a small life in South Carolina. He also fell pretty hard for a girl named Daisy, once when he was in high school, but she turned him down. Then after college right before he was getting ready to leave for the west coast they had an amazing week together, but that’s all it could be. Little did he know he left her with a part of himself and wouldn’t get a chance to see her again for several years, but when he came back a few years later nothing was going to stop him…at least he hoped. He just never imagined what was waiting to greet him and change his life forever.

Their relationship is intense and steamy, but more than that my heart broke for both Scout and Daisy. It’s a relationship that is affected by circumstance and outside factors and has very little to do with the true caring they have for one another. I love how Tia crafted their story and developed their love.

Twist of Fate is an absolutely perfect interconnected book to This Much is True, straddling both sides of JR’s story while giving us a complete standalone and fresh look at Scout’s life. It’s a perfect look at what is important in life at the end of the day.

Oh, Tia Louise you have done it again!! This grumpy hero will win your heart while you wish you were the beautiful heroine riding shotgun for this cross country road trip.

Hooked, hooked, hooked…I’m so hooked for this road trip. It was fun, it had chemistry overload, and it had intrigue. Everything that makes a pandemic book fun to read.

Yes, I said it…the dreaded 2020 word. Hope and J.R. (two strangers-gasp) are in a car together traveling cross country during the pandemic, but instead of it being the end of the world virus wise, This Much is True is a fun, steamy romp which they survive, thankfully (safely, and while following medical precautions and all).

I love that Tia was able to have fun while the world has turned upside down. If I had to compare the characters to world events; J.R. really seemed to encompass the worlds anger (but in a hot, brooding, grouchy way), while Hope (great name choice) is the beacon of light that we all need in the world right now.

J.R. is looking for revenge and he’s filled with anger (aren’t we all after this year). He’s been locked in jail after being wrongly accused for a crime he didn’t commit and he wants answers. When a beautiful girl awakens in his back seat, one he obviously wasn’t expecting, J.R. isn’t exactly thrilled, but how do you dump a girl in the middle of nowhere in the middle of a pandemic?

While Hope is filled with this eternal…well hope, she’s constantly happy, even being stuck in the car with Mr. Unhappy. Should she be worried about going on a road trip with a stranger? Yes, but strangely she’s not. Currently she’s unemployed due to the pandemic so what does she have to do? Nothing. Might as well make the best of her situation and enjoy the ride.

I’m also going to let you in on a little secret…well maybe it’s not little. The book is funny, okay it’s more than funny, it’s hilarious at times. It’s going to make you smile something fierce and a huge part of that is due to the secondary characters. You are going to love them so hard, but that is all you are getting from me.

Fall in love with this amazing pandemic love story.
