A very enjoyable read. Sweet, smart, steamy, and everything wrapped into a second chance romance that will give you the warm and fuzzy feelings. This was my first Julie Kriss read and it won’t be my last.
Ava Winters lives in New York where she lives and breathes fashion. It doesn’t exactly pay her to live lavishly, but she’ll take eating ramen noodles over giving up on style.
Dane Scotland lives in Chicago where he lives and breathes computer coding. He lives in a penthouse and has more money than he knows what to do with, but he’d rather wear ripped jeans and a twenty year old tshirt than clothes fitting the professional he’s supposed to personify.
When Dane is scheduled to meet with a potential Japanese client, the other partners in his company are worried about what he’ll portray as the companies image. Aiden Winters calls in his sister, Ava, to spruce up Dane’s image, however he has no idea about their past. Dane and Ava haven’t seen one another for almost a decade and they are about to open emotional doors that have been shut for very specific reasons.
Given a very large check, and knowing she won’t need to eat ramen for quite some time, Ava reluctantly goes to Chicago, back to face her past, and style up the man who stole her heart years ago.
Dane and Ava have a very deep connection that shows from the beginning. It allows their relationship 2.0 to blossom without lots of drama, but also into something very real and with a great friendship behind it. I loved reading their story.
