Vanessa’s Store:

Veronica Miller is a plumber on a mission—buy out her dad and the family business is finally hers. One big, handsome problem stands in her way. And it’s not a clogged toilet.

Jack Reid is the boy she crushed on in high school. Ten years ago, he broke her heart and skipped town. But now he’s back, and he’s definitely no longer a boy. He’s all man—and he’d really like for Veronica to check out his pipe.

Forced to being roommates, Jack and Veronica have to work through a decade of baggage, disappointment, wanting and unrequited lust.

Even though Veronica’s heart hasn’t yet forgiven Jack, they’ll need more than a pillow berm down the middle of the bed to keep them apart.

In Montana Ice, the second book in the Small Town Romance series, it might be below zero, but Jack and Veronica heat things up.

You can run from your feelings, but you can never hide.
Unspoken by Sofia Tate is LIVE NOW!

Aiden Dwyer, a Queens construction worker, doesn’t know a salad fork from a dessert fork, unlike his best friend from college, Sebastian Parker, a privileged son from a blue-blooded Manhattan family who was born with a silver spoon in his mouth.

Seb’s always got Aiden’s back. The same can’t be said for Seb’s little sister, Bea, who finds pleasure in mocking Aiden for his lack of social standing.

A permanent fixture in New York City gossip columns, Beatrice (Bea) Parker is known as “The Park Avenue Princess.” But nobody knows that the pillar of young Manhattan society has an alter-ego on an online dating site for “discreet singles.”

Lying dormant under all of their jokes and teasing is Aiden and Bea’s unrequited desire for each other. When he discovers Bea’s greatest secret, Aiden risks his friendship with Sebastian to fulfill her fantasies and make his hunger for her a reality.

Warning: This epistolary novel contains flirtatious banter, double entendres, interfering parents, a heroine who leads a secret life, and a hero who could have everything he ever wanted if he plays his cards right.

She thinks she knows the truth about her history until a file in her father’s safe reveals she has sisters she never knew about. A family she’s never met. Against her father’s wishes, she heads to a small beach community to meet her siblings… and finds herself way out of her depth instead.

In the personal protection business, Braden Clark thinks nothing of taking on a job to watch over a city girl in town for the summer. If her father wants to know his daughter is safe, it’s no problem and an easy way of earning a paycheck. Except Braden doesn’t count on falling for the sheltered Juliette. Watching her experience her firsts, getting an apartment, finding a job, meeting up with her lost sisters, soon Braden’s brand of protection becomes a little too personal. He’s mixing business with pleasure and lying to a woman he’s coming to care deeply about.

Sexual attraction burns bright between them and Braden is by her side as she finds herself, her family, and what it means to love… but what happens when she discovers his secret? That he’s been paid to watch over her all along?

Review – Unspoken

Unspoken; The Prose Series #1 (Series)
by Sofia Tate (Author)

This review is from: July 9, 2018 By Kay Daniels (Kindle Edition-Goodreads)
Heat Level:🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Both sexy and sweet, Unspoken was like reading two books in one.

Aiden Dwyer is from the wrong side of New York. Born and raised in Queens, his pedigree is entirely wrong for Beatrice Parker, “The Park Avenue Princess”. Best friends with Bea’s older brother, Sebastian, Aiden has known Bea since she was nothing but an annoying pre-bubesist teenager. Even knowing he can’t have her doesn’t stop him from wanting her so when he discovers she’s on a dating website he joins only to pursue her, anonymously, just so he can make her as crazy about him as he is about her.

Beatrice Parker has never been able to truly be herself. When society labeled her as “The Park Avenue Princess” with that title came the spotlight of responsibility. It didn’t take long to realize that men were only interested in her for what her name or stock portfolio could bring. Meeting someone who could meet her true desires would be near impossible. When she created a profile on Prose, it was mostly out of desperation, but also a way to meet someone who could hopefully fulfill her innermost desires. What she never expected was to meet a man whom was so perfectly matched.

What started as a way to get to know one another, anonymously, became so much more. What happens when you meet the one you belong with and they are the one you can’t be with?

I loved that the story of Aiden and Beatrice was a typical contemporary story, but when you enter the Prose story of “Good Girl” and “Sir” it was dirty and sexy. This book was oh, so good with that mixture. What made it even better was that when Sofia switched back and forth between the two storylines she didn’t make assumptions. For instance, Aiden and Bea had been corresponding in Prose with their dirtiest desires (unbeknownst to Bea that she was talking to Aiden, but still she was thinking about Aiden when she was writing her fantasies out) (Yes, this story is delicious) Back to why I love it-when they finally get together, face to face, it wasn’t anything over the top. It was real life, making love, passion filled sex. Sofia kept the deep-dark fantasy contained in Prose. Thank you Sofia for that beautiful distinction!

Review – Montana Ice

Montana Ice; Small Town Romance #2 (Series)
by Vanessa Vale (Author)

This review is from: July 7, 2018 By Kay Daniels (Kindle Edition-Goodreads)
Heat Level:🔥🔥🔥

Once again, I loved every word of this small town romance. Sucked in from the very beginning, the endearing characters living in Bozeman, Montana are delightful, quirky, and I just can’t get enough.

Did I read this while at work?  Maybe…but once I began reading Montana Ice I absolutely hated to put it down.

It’s been record breaking temps right now and I didn’t need to turn on the fans because I could feel the chill rolling off the pages. Vanessa plucked me up and dropped me off into the frosty winter of Montana. As much as I hate cold weather, I love when an author can transport me into their world.

Veronica Miller has dreamed and thought of Jack Reid for ten years.

The one that got away.

Or more like…..

Slept with her sister Violet and now Veronica dreams of revenge.

Sweetly maiming Jack Reid if she ever saw him again.

So when she whacks him with a paddle over the head and possibly kills him, okay so she didn’t kill him, but he did break an entering into her house. Well technically it’s not her house it’s her sisters, but that’s besides the point, she still whacked him with a paddle, hard enough to knock him out.

He could have been a dangerous intruder.

He didn’t even knock.

And he slept with her sister.

It was ten years ago, but time doesn’t matter, he still deserved it.

Why does he look so good lying there unconscious?

Why is he back in Montana after disappearing ten years ago?

Why is he back in Violet’s house?

Maybe she should whack him again.

Second chances, unrequited love, a crazy stalker and George the gnome returns. This book will have you LOL while falling in love. I promise.

Review – Freed

Freed; Rosewood Bay #3 (Series)
by Carly Phillips (Author)

This review is from: July 6, 2018 By Kay Daniels (Kindle Edition-Goodreads)
Heat Level:🔥🔥🔥

Carly Phillips writes the textbook sweet, contemporary romance. It’s why I love reading her books, especially when I’ve been deep in angsty reads. Carly’s books are just what I need to lift my spirits and renew my sense of what’s right in the HEA world.

Juliette Collins grew up in a privileged, sheltered world. One where she believed she was an only child. At the age of 26, only then did she discover that she had two half sisters and that her mother was also still alive. Growing up she was told that her mother died, when actually her father had been paying her to stay away from Juliette’s life. His control was finally at an end when Juliette decided to leave her ivory tower and find her sisters, but more importantly find out who she really is living on her own for the first time in her life.

Andrew Collins refuses to leave his daughter unattended and unguarded, living alone to make her own decisions. He does what he’s always done, watch over her every move. He calls Braden Clark, a PI in the town of Rosewood, where Juliette will be spending her summer. A cushy job following around a debutante and report back her every move to her over-protective father. Nothing ever happens in the small town, but if some guy wants to spend a fortune having Braden spy on his spoiled princess, Braden won’t turn down the money. He has bills to pay and an ailing father to think about.

Juliette loves everything about being on her own. It’s harder than she ever imagined, but she loves the satisfaction of doing things for herself. The best part of escaping her father, meeting Braden Clark. Of course she loves finding her sisters and the connection she has with them is beyond what she ever thought, but meeting the man who could be her forever, that is freeing.

When Braden first meets his new “job” he never once imagined having feelings for her. She’s nothing like a spoiled, rich girl should be. Keeping things separated from his job and the man he wants her to know get blurred. The longer she stays in Rosewood he comes to realize she’s more than just a job and his duplicity may ruin everything between them.
