At first, I wasn’t sure how I was going to feel about Joshua, but it didn’t take long for my walls to crumble and feel all mushy for this wounded and deeply caring man.

Gia Bianchi is one of a few women to have gone through the new training program in this new Mazzone world. She was itching to put her new skills to use and eager doesn’t even begin to describe what she was feeling when the call came in. Gia doesn’t take grief from anyone and that included Joshua Accardi. I was in total girl lust with her from beginning to end. She’s bada$$ and so brave. I definitely need to point out that I love Siobhan’s tough women characters and Gia sits right up there with her strong leading ladies.

While Gia and Joshua may have grown up in the same world, it was more of at an acquaintance level. Their adult lives really intersected on Gia’s assignment and that’s when the sparks between them began to fly. Gia Bianchi  just so happens to be the woman who holds the matches that reignite Joshua’s cold heart, and I have to say, their chemistry is through the roof once these two let their passion off the leash.

I can already foresee that these two are going to be a powerhouse couple within this world and take it by storm. Now, I can’t wait to see how his brother’s story plays out. Caleb is going to be a beautiful wreck to watch unfold.

“Where are we going?” Charlie asks from the passenger seat of my SUV as I turn off the road and drive through the open gates of the private entrance that leads to the old, abandoned hotel situated thirteen miles from Rydeville.

“You wanted to know, and the best way is to show you,” I supply as my cell pings with an incoming call. I press the button to accept Blackwood’s return call. “About damn time,” I growl.

“You’re not my only client.” His voice rings out through the car speakers.

“I’m the only client that matters.”

“Your arrogance never fails to astound me,” he replies in a droll tone.

“You’re not the first person to tell me that today,” I admit, and Charlie snorts. Silence descends for a few beats. “It’s okay,” I tell my contact. “Barron is with me, and he’s about to find out everything.”

“Good. That’s good. It’s long overdue.”

“Don’t have a clue who you are, but you talk sense,” Charlie says as I navigate along the bumpy driveway, maneuvering around potholes and bits of the old fence that litter our way.

“Ezra is my PI and personal hacker,” I explain, turning the windshield wipers on as the heavens open, tipping sheets of rain from the sky.

“I want to be there when you tell Daniels, Hunt, and Anderson.” Charlie chuckles.

“They will never know,” I say in a clipped tone, casting a quick glance at my buddy. “You promised you’d keep this confidential.”

“And I will.”

“I mean it, Charlie. I’m not dragging anyone else into this. It’s too dangerous.” I take a sharp left at the end of the bumpy road, driving more smoothly along the tree-lined lower part of the driveway now we’re on asphalt.

“I don’t agree, but I gave you my word. I won’t say anything to the others. The only people who will know are me and Demi.”

Charlie has changed so much. There was a time he was as secretive and stubborn as me. I’m still shocked he tells his wife everything.

I’m blown away!! Never has a dark-stalker romance turned me upside down quite like this!! Do I want a happy ending or do I secretly wish for a twisted one…I really can’t decide and I also can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Reading Devotion was a complete mind f*ck.🤯 Damien, theoretically, should have been an appalling character, but like Layla I was drawn to him, falling for him, and totally drinking the kool-aid.  That being said, I also should have been angry over Layla falling for all the “red flags” just because he’s good looking, but again I say…move over Layla cause I’m totally drinking that kool-aid!!😜

A killer is on the loose and Layla is the forensic photographer on staff documenting the crimes…his crimes. A man who fascinates Layla, a man who haunts her dreams and follows her in shadows. At least she believes it, but everytime she turns around there is no one there. She shouldn’t be obsessed with such a demented man, but her history, her secrets, her darkness calls to those shadows and no one but him seems to know the real her.

Damien Webb is twisted, suave and he has the perfected demented and sharp mind to be the leader of his flock. He should be happy with everything he has, but there is a darkness inside of him that keeps him unsettled. Something that only one person has ever seemed to calm. With armaggedon literally on the cover I was prepared for things like the Four Horseman, zombies, an approaching apocalypse, demons and other supernaturals, but I was tickled pink to have seers, and other such paranormals thrown into the mix and all within the landscape of New Orleans. A place rich in magic and mystery that not only made the perfect landscape for this book, but practically was another character. Wilt was a joy to read for both the action contained within the story, but also the passion felt between the two main characters. At times it felt like an impossible tale with all the twists, but I could also feel the deep love that flowed through the pages, even if it involved the undead.

Nix Raveneaux is one of the Four Horsemen who isn’t so much a robe wearing wrath bringing about the end of the world, as he is on the precipice of restoring balance between the living and the dead. He’s lived a loooooooonnnnnnnggg life with his brothers and like some old men I know, he just wants to sit, enjoy some peace and quiet and go about his evening , which includes cleaning his fish tank, after a days work of escorting souls to the other side. However…upon meeting Harper Deshayes his quiet nights get set aside and he becomes her babysitter while the world gets ready to head into the next armageddon. Nix is also in charge of a zombie who was once an MMA fighter, so that makes his job extra interesting, especially when his zombie-rage kicks in.

I truly loved these twists.

I was not prepared for how witty and extremely well written this entire world was . Harlowe has created a well crafted tapestry of New Orleans and the characters that live and commingle there. Wilt is a great book for those who love supernatural or romantasy.

Synopsis:
Nix Raveneaux is the Conqueror, harbinger of death. And it was supposed to be just another Friday night for him. Assist the dying in crossing to the other side, clean the fish tank, have a beer.

Instead, he’s got a revenant who won’t die and a beautiful snoop who insists his undead human is the key to finding her sister.

Gigi is a very lucky girl 😉

Now, don’t let me fool you into thinking their love is easy. These two star-crossed lovers fight for everything they have as the Marchetti and Lombardi families feud around them.

Gigi is very much a Marchetti. She’s strong, opinionated, and the perfect match for a man like Antonio. He’s a man who walks in the gray side of morality and he is nothing if not possessive of Gigi, but he has a soft spot for the women in his life and that includes not only Gigi, but also his daughter.

This book is full of blood, gray shaded morality, and lots of steamy, hot moments between two people who are destined to be together.

Lastly, Charity does a great job of weaving three storylines together, as Gigi and Antonio’s story actually begins before the first two books, but I do feel that for the best reading enjoyment these books should be read in order.

It’s crazy, it’s passionate, and at times it’s a little psycho, but that’s love.

From the beginning we have spunky, over-the-top Bunky who absolutely knows what he wants and that is falling for Whaley, who is not only older, but gruffer and would seem opposite, but they have a lot in common. While Whaley does his best to keep Bunky at arms length…at least in the beginning…it is like trying to hold back a tornado.

“His soul screams to mine.” 🫠🥵

God, I adore Bunky. He knows he’s impulsive, sporadic, and obsessive, no one needs to tell him that. He is solid in his convictions. He wants Whaley and deep down he knows Whaley is the only person who could love him for the person he is. It’s so pure, at its core, it’s really hard not to side with Bunky’s obsessive thought processes.

“When I see Whaley. God, he always makes my heart throw up glitter.”

However, Whaley isn’t ready to take on Bunky’s demons along with his own, at least not at first. Bunky is persuasive, or like a fungus that won’t go away 😂…and as Whaley let’s his guard down it’s not long until these two become obsessed with each other. It’s beautiful.

Their obsession makes their love bond like cement with super glue and resin. Making their love so strong that nothing could pull them apart.

This book is well written, intersecting plots between the first book and what I imagine will be the next one. I can hardly wait for how that to play out, but as for Whaley and Bunky these two are hotter than the sun and I have a total crush.

Vi did an excellent job keeping us in the moment that every twist is a true surprise and my mind was blown every single time. What was real and what was an unhealthy twist of the mind?

Now the four older brothers want nothing more than to reunite with the younger two, but Zayn has other plans.

Zayn is full of anger and seeking revenge, while Roman is sweet, but also loyal to the only brother he’s only ever known. That’s not saying Roman doesn’t crave more, but their lives haven’t been easy and Zayn is fiercely protective. I wanted to smack some sense into him multiple times, but he’s totally reminiscent of another brother…which he gets reminded of repeatedly. 😉

This book revolves around all of the brothers-which made me fangirl numerous times-, but for the most part it mainly focuses on Zayn and the girl who enters his life, Emery.

Emery is an intriguing character. She has her before Zayn, more demure persona, and then her after Zayn, fiercer persona. I won’t say why there is a before and after transformation, except that I enjoyed all the layers she was able to reveal because of it.

Their coupleship is sometimes second fiddle to the overall Rydeville plot, but honestly it didn’t even dawn on me because there is so much meat to the entire book. Siobhan does such a great job at writing big family series’ and incorporating all of the characters that come with that huge undertaking. This book was not only the continuation of the overall Rydeville series, but also a starting point for another branch of characters to begin their own❤️. It’s a wonderful mix and this is the book to make all of this happen.

So, yes! This was a reunion, of sorts, for fans. 🥰 But is was also a story filled with intrigue and dark shadows. Zayn and Emery have a lot to figure out before heading into a happily ever after together, but that is what makes reading Siobhan so exciting.

Lies of Omission was a suspenseful and crazy ride. I loved how the story weaved back and forth from past to present, which kept the plot flowing and definitely kept me turning pages late into the night.

We meet Theo and Sal as grown men, but then immediatly are thrown back to when they are in high school. Their story continues to weave between the past and present, their tale layed out , much like a puzzle that will eventually show the whole picture, as each chapter goes along. It not only built the suspense of the plot, but also built the relationship between the two men. It was the perfect way for this book to be pieced together, at least in my opinion.

Theo is the son of a judge, making his life a bit difficult, especially when he goes to school with many of the kids whose parents his dad has incarcerated. That is only part Theo’s meek persona, the other is wrapped up in his sexuality, which he hides behind his relationship with his best friend Lea. Sal is one of the few who looks behind the fake relationship he has Lea, but looking is just the beginning. I really enjoyed the character growth that Theo went through; beginning as a youthful, almost scared of his own shadow teen up to a man fighting off the mafia. His entire journey was really great to watch.

As for Sal…I really respected Sal’s close family, his cousins for instance. In a mafia family there are normally expectations and toxic male stereotypes, so I really liked that Sal’s close relatives didn’t push him away, or look down on him for who he liked or wanted in his bed. There was a lot going on in his family, as far as who was in charge and whatnot, but aside from the politics going on, I seriously enjoyed the dynamics between Sal and his cousins.

The chemistry between the two guys is great, no matter what age we got them at, if there is any complaint, it’s that the ending came too quickly, I was actually hoping for more. I was loving all the tension and suspense and then it was over. I did love the epilogue as it was a wonderful follow-up.

Okay, first of all I want to start by saying that I was extremely intrigued by the blurb and tropes of this book. They checked off all the little dark desires tucked away in my soul. The Devil’s Vice started off by grabbing my attention and keeping it there for about a quarter of the way in, but then I started questioning way too many things that I couldn’t look past or even let my mind say “this is fiction…stay in the land of disbelief”…so while I did finish the book I had a hard time loving it or even connecting with wanting to love it. Hence the 3.5 stars.

I love a good possessive-obsessive romance, and what I think I enjoy about it is the push back that the other character brings to that possession. Obviously I want them to eventually give in and admit that they love being the center of attention, but up until that point I want my heart to race over how psycho they think that person is…right? Somehow in this book all of that was lost. Let me explain…

Somehow, I was supposed to suspend disbelieve that Lilith was smart enough to put herself through medical school, and that’s after living in foster care, so I’m not even going to let it slide that she had zero street smarts…but this educated woman just has zero sense or really any smarts whatsoever. She not only finds having a stalker exciting, but she really never stops to think that having one is a need for concern. 🤔 Her lack of survival skills and her lack of self-awareness was painful to read. 🙄

While Kain was easier to understand; a possessive, obsessive psychopath who can’t get Lilith out of his thoughts, but he too does things that have no follow through. He literally does any and everything to make Lilith his, which fits his morally gray character, but there are no ramifications…ever. That part was odd, but honestly I was willing to let that go more than Lillith’s”lay down and just take me” behavior.

Like I said in the beginning, I liked the blurb and tropes, so I knew this would be a dark book, but honestly, it was just somewhat disappointing. I’m still giving it 3.5 stars for keeping my attention as long as it did and I certainly had to know how it ended to see if these two faced problems from actions they’d created. 😬 Sufficed to say, plotholes left me unsatisfied.
