“Do you think he’s going to kill you? I know the man seems scary but he’s not. The key with Big Tag is to give as good as you get. Like fight his sarcasm with sarcasm. When he asks how my broom ride in was, I smile and ask him if he rode in on the back of a brontosaurus from his age. I know that sounds harsh, but it made him laugh, and now we’re cool. I spent the first couple of weeks terrified by him, thinking he was this big bully, but he’s actually the sweetest guy.” The words had been said with a slightly husky feminine tone, and when he turned, sure enough there was a woman. A young woman who looked like she’d walked off the pages of a goth comic book. She was petite, a good foot shorter than him, with two purple pig tails, and she liked black. She had on a black miniskirt with sparkly suspenders over a black button-up. Dark green leggings and combat boots completed the look. She was absolutely nothing like the two types of women he’d been surrounded by the last decade of his life. Military women who kept things neat and clean and practical, or the sophisticated crowd he’d run in when he’d been a spy. Women who were polished and thought out every single word they said and action made. The first he would have nodded and made some simple conversation with. The second he would spend some time figuring out to ensure they weren’t here to spy on him. He had absolutely no idea what to do with the woman in front of him. “Uh, I don’t think he’s going to kill me.” She was weirdly fascinating. And just plain weird. She had a messenger bag over her shoulder, and the wide strap was decorated with a bunch of buttons, one which proclaimed her the Mistress of Code. She seemed to like code and the color green since she had a big button with the words I Always Play Green and some weird figure on it. “Confident. I like it. Are you a client or a new hire?” She gasped as she seemed to think of something. “Or a new vendor? Because if you are trying to sell the big guy anything that’s not a lemon tart, he might kill you. We should rethink this.” It was her smile that did it. A small uptick of lips that let him know she was fucking with him and probably fucked with every guy in her life. Not in a “I’m looking to screw you over, take your secrets, and then probably murder you on the way out the door” way he’d gotten used to. In the “I don’t take life too seriously” way. Like the women he’d been friends with in college. The ones he’d been comfortable with in another lifetime. In the life he’d had before he’d so brutally destroyed everything around him. He should walk away from this woman. He was toxic, and his world for so long had been blood and secrets and death. She wouldn’t even know how to walk in his world. She also wasn’t his type. The last thing he needed was even a casual flirtation. “I’m the new guy.” He held out a hand. “Name’s Kyle Hawthorne. I’m starting in the bodyguard unit today.” She was completely harmless. It wouldn’t hurt to talk to the cute goth chick while he was here. He wouldn’t be here forever. He was giving this two months tops. That should be enough time to satisfy his family and the higher-ups at the CIA that he wasn’t going to do something dangerous. And then he would go do something dangerous. She reached out, that smile turning into something truly glorious. Her black-tinged lips spread and showed even white teeth, but it was the way that smile lit up her eyes that made him pause. “MaeBe.” Oh, she was playing with fire because for the first time in months he felt his groin tighten as he took her hand in his and felt an actual fucking spark that probably wasn’t static electricity. He couldn’t help the way his own lips curled up, and the words that flowed out of his mouth could have come from his twenty-year-old self. “Maybe? I would say that’s a little presumptuous of you, but I think I’ll go with it.”

“You know there’s another option,” Chastity said as we finished another box of wine.
I’d been finishing a lot of boxes of wine recently.
“Don’t you say it.” I clenched my jaw. I knew exactly who she was going to say. Tanner’s best friend. The one man on this earth I was more embarrassed around than Dr. Lyons. And that was really saying something because I’d tried to rape Dr. Lyons.
Chastity opened her mouth.
“Don’t you freaking say it!”
“Matthew Caldwell.”
“No! We don’t even know for sure that they’re friends!”
“I looked into it. He’s definitely the Matt from Tanner’s phone. We both saw how Nigel reacted to me asking about him.”
I shook my head.
“And honestly, maybe this is for the best. You can’t date Tanner if he’s friends with Matt. You wouldn’t be able to handle it.”
“Yes I could! I’d do anything for Tanner.”
“Anything?”
“Of course.”
“Got you. So if you won’t see Dr. Lyons, then you can at least contact Matt. End of discussion.”
“I can’t talk to Matt or Dr. Lyons.”
“You just said you’d do anything. And we’ve been searching for months. Matt is our last option. Trust me, I wouldn’t mention him if it wasn’t dire.”
“I can’t.”
“Ash, Matt’s dick is fine. I’m sure he forgives you for setting it on fire.”
“No man forgives a girl for something like that.” Although it did kind of seem like Matt had forgiven me. The few times I’d run into him after the incident he’d been perfectly kind. Too kind. He was probably luring me into a false sense of security while he put his case together to sue me for all I’m worth.
“He has reservations in half an hour at that new restaurant with all the rave reviews. Get dressed. We’re going.”

“I was in a world of homeowner hell.”
Tempting the Neighbor, an all-new heat-filled enemies-to-lovers small-town standalone romance in the Mount Macon Series from bestselling author Ashley Munoz is live now!
Becoming a homeowner is not all it’s cracked up to be, let me tell you that right now. Especially in the dead of winter, when apparently trees can just fall in the middle of a suburban neighborhood.
Did my next-door neighbor help me remove said tree?
No, he did not…
And I asked while rocking bedhead, the world’s puffiest coat, and ugly snow boots.
So, really…he left me no choice.
I broke into his house.
While I only intended to steal a little warmth and maybe a cup of coffee, I fell victim to his jacuzzi tub.
Unfortunately for me, he returned early and that’s really when things got weird.
Instead of a cold glare or icy reply, all of which I fully expected from my disagreeable neighbor.
Colson Hanes offered to make me breakfast.
Then he asked me to stay…

At the end of the hall was a closed door, which of course I opened because what if
Colson was secretly hiding dead bodies. If more people would be nosy, I was positive more
crimes would be solved.
But as soon as that door cracked, my eyes rounded, and my jaw hung loose.
It wasn’t the massive king-size bed, with no feathers or silk in sight, that got me. It
wasn’t his elaborate record collection or his deep-set leather chair that faced his backyard, or the
billion-inch television mounted on the wall. No, what had me fully arrested was the soaking tub
in his bathroom, complete with jets and a soft pillow neck rest.
The urge to relax and let the stress of the morning slip away was too strong to resist.
I let out a sigh, tugged off my shirt and whispered, “Come to Mama.”
The man had shower gel that I used as bubble bath, it smelled woodsy with a blend of
spice that made me groan, and I managed to find exactly three candles under his bathroom sink.
They were a part of an emergency kit, but whatever. With the few candles, bath gel, and
steaming hot water, I stripped. The warm air was like velvet against my bare skin as I tossed my
pajamas to the side.
Once the tub was full, I turned off the faucet and hissed as my toe plunged into the water.
“Perfect.”
I sighed, lowering the rest of my body into the steam.
As I soaked, I closed my eyes and began a deep breathing routine.
I counted slowly, feeling my lungs expand and wisps of my hair float around my head. I
didn’t usually like getting my curls wet, but it also felt too good not to plunge under. Right as I
counted to eighteen, I shoved back through the surface of the water.
“What. The fuck. Nora?!” a loud, angry voice boomed from somewhere off to my left.
My heart flipped inside my chest; my lungs still burned from holding my breath. My eyes
were still closed because I hadn’t rubbed the water out of them yet, but now I was apprehensive
about opening them.
I didn’t need to see, to know it was Colson standing there, witnessing me taking a bath in
his house. Naked.
Oh. My. God.
I was currently naked.
I let out a small animalistic sound and ducked back under the water, as if that could hide
me. Until I realized most of the bubbles had dissipated because shower gel was not bubble bath.
Fuck.
I resurfaced right as I heard him speak again.
“Do you want to explain to me what in the hell you’re doing here?”
Finally, I pressed my fingers into my closed eyes to wipe away the water and slowly slid
my gaze to the mirror, which reflected a menacing form. Leaning against the door frame, with
crossed arms and a scowl on his handsome face, Colson glared.
But what would I even say? How did I come back from this?
“Look…” I swallowed thickly, keeping my eyes on him through the mirror. My arms
were crossed over my breasts, and I brought my knees up for extra coverage. “If you feel the
need to press charges, please let me explain myself first.”
His hand came up, tunneling through his messy blond hair. The beanie he’d worn earlier
was gone, so were his shoes and jacket, now he stood in thick jeans and a soft T-shirt. I hated
how badly I wanted to run my fingers along the stretchy material and rub it against my face when
he wasn’t looking. It looked so soft.
“I never said anything about pressing charges, Nora. All I asked was for you to explain
yourself, so please…” He held his hand out as if I should continue.
Right.
My sopping curls frizzed as I sat in the water, watching him in the mirror.
“I have no power at my house…no coffee or way to make breakfast…” I was totally
hoping for empathy from him, but his face was made of stone, completely unmoving, so I pushed
on. “I just planned to steal a little heat and some coffee, but then I saw your tub.”
His head tilted the slightest bit. “And how is it that you found my tub?”
I puckered my brow at the reminder of his closed door.
“Yeah, about that…why leave your door shut when no one else lives here?”
He inclined his head as if to challenge me.
“Why would you assume that no one else lives here?”
Oh, shit…why would I assume that?
“Colson, I’m so sorry. I have no idea what came over me, let me just get up and I’ll
leave.”

Dirty Crazy Bad 2, the addictive and jaw-dropping conclusion to the dark reverse-harem Dirty Crazy Bad Duet from USA Today & Wall Street Journal bestselling author Siobhan Davis is live now!
The Greed & Gluttony Luminary has trapped us into executing his evil plans, and it seems we have little option but to agree. Carter has orchestrated Chad’s kidnapping, and he holds my mom’s life in his hands.

We must play our parts—or at least look like we are—because the fate of our loved ones, and the world at large, depends upon it. There is no choice.
It’s a delicate balancing act, with many obstacles and no guarantee of success. Carter has spent years planning his takeover and knowing who to trust is impossible.
Teamwork is the only way we can defeat him. But that is challenging when relationships are fractured, the guys are sworn enemies, and loyalties have been pushed to their limits.
It’s up to me to make this work, so I will push my grief aside to be there for Ares, Jase, and Chad.
Rhett Carter cannot become Lord of the Luminaries and we’re the only ones that can stop him.

ASHLEY
Jase stalls on the step above me as Mom and Ares continue to the upper level where Ares’s, Chad’s, and my bedrooms are. “What’s wrong?” he asks, turning to face me.
“You need to sleep down here,” I say, leaning against the banisters as I try not to let the crestfallen look on his face get to me.
“I don’t expect anything, Ash, but I want to stay with you. To make sure you’re okay.”
“I’ll be fine. I have already taken pain meds, and I’ll just set my alarm to wake me every few hours.”
He folds his arms across his broad chest as his emerald eyes peer into mine. “I know I hurt you and I need to make it up to you. I know it’s not as easy as me saying I’m sorry or that I was trying to protect you. But please don’t shut me out. You are injured, and someone should stay with you.”
“I’ll stay with her.” Ares’s gruff voice echoes from above.
I look up, spotting him hanging back on the top step.
I expect Jase to argue. There is little love lost between those two. But he surprises me.
He fixes his gaze on Ares. “Make sure you wake her every four hours. And come get me if there are any issues during the night.”
Ares equally surprises me when he nods agreeably.
Jase pulls me into a tender hug. Pressing his warm lips to my ear, he whispers, “I love you, Temptress. Whatever you need, I will give you.”
Tears stab my eyes at his words. I know what this must be costing him. “I love you too,” I whisper, stretching up to kiss his cheek. “But that doesn’t magically solve all our issues.”
“I know.” The look of adoration on his face as he tucks stray strands of pink hair behind my ears is almost enough to change my mind. “We need to talk about a lot of things.”
I bob my head as I extract myself from his embrace and move around him. “Yeah, we do. Night, Jase. Sleep well.”
“Night, baby.”
