A second chance, sports romance this book was filled with just the right amount of angst, steam, and romance to make this a good book to curl up with for a weekend read.
Jane was a rare woman – a diamond among the thorn’s. Okay, I know that is not a known metaphor, but seriously, a woman who not only loves football, but works, lives, and breathes the sport. Why is this woman still single, other than the fact that she works all the time and never finds time to date. Luckily for Weston Chase, Jane is still a single lady when he joins the Chicago Hawks at the beginning of the season, however, Jane isn’t quite so enthused to see Wes again.
It’s been ten years since she last saw Weston Chase. The years have been good to the man who broke her heart. A boy back then, what did they know about love or keeping a relationship together through college and all the pressures that surrounded it, especially one that involved a rise to the NFL. Jane shouldn’t be angry at what happened a decade ago, they were young, but she has a hard time letting go especially when he seems unaffected.
Weston hasn’t seen or heard from Jane for ten years and now when she looks at him her gaze is filled with malice. He doesn’t understand where her hatred is coming from, she is the one who broke up with him all those years ago. He just wants a chance to find out what happened and perhaps find out if she’s alright. There is no harm in that, is there?
Can these two old flames burn bright again, or will their old anger and wounds get them taken out of the game for good this time?
