Review:
Oooooooohhh, these delectable boy-gods can ruin me any day🥵 Although, in real life, I’d run away and hide cause well, Landon scares me, but here in fiction land…oh yeah….that boy can ruin me gooooooood!🔥
“Addictions don’t survive me, little muse.”
Dig me a grave because I am addicted to one Landon King. I’m also in love with his muse, Mia Sokolov. She is one of the few who doesn’t cower or bow down to Landon when he commands it. Her one weakness, if you could call it that is that she’s mute, but that in no way weakens her. She’s cunning and strong just like her parents and I loved everything about her, which brings me to my next point…hand over my knickers 🥵 because Landon and Mia’s bicker game is pure fire!!🔥
I mean, how is this possible when I just said that Mia is mute, but I also said it’s not a weakness. Just know that these two made me snicker A LOT!!
Landon is completely full of himself and he totally knows it, but that is his personality. I really, really loved his character. Considering he’s the mastermind behind so much of the series’ chaos, I wasn’t sure if I would, but he’s absolutely brilliant, and I don’t mean that in his genius mentality way. Mia is there to constantly knock him down and like I said their intellectual game is outstanding. It’s truly one of the best in this series so far. 😍
By the end…this couple has leaped to the front and completely stood out as my favorite and like I said before that’s quite a feat considering I wasn’t sure about Landon to began with. So take that statement what you will with it.
“She’s not prey to my beast, she’s its match.”
I also want to say, what I’ve come to to love about this series as a whole is the focus on unconventional love. Giving characters struggles to face and overcome what societal norms deem as the standard concept of what love should be. Each couple, so far, has been different in this regard and how they reach their own version of what happiness means for them is a beautiful concept and Landon and Mia’s story is no different. I won’t get into their specifics so you can enjoy it personally, but overall, I do love how Rina tackles what love and happiness means on a personal level. The concept of striving for this Insta-perfect bubble of love is unrealistic, for any couple, no matter who you are. If dark love is where you find comfort, then own it.
God of Ruin is top notch 👏 and once again I couldn’t put this book down once I began reading it! Its true reading excellence!
Synopsis:
I’m out for revenge.
After careful planning, I gave the man who messed with my family a taste of his own medicine.
I thought it’d end there.
It didn’t.
Landon King is a genius artist, a posh rich boy, and my worst nightmare.
He’s decided that I’m the new addition to his chess game.
Too bad for him, I’m no pawn.
If he hits, I hit back, twice as hard and with the same hostility.
He says he’ll ruin me.
Little does he know that ruination goes both ways.
This book is a dark unconventional romance and contains themes that aren’t to everyone’s liking. Please check the author’s note for content warnings before reading.
