I’m blown away!! Never has a dark-stalker romance turned me upside down quite like this!! Do I want a happy ending or do I secretly wish for a twisted one…I really can’t decide and I also can’t wait to find out what happens next.

Reading Devotion was a complete mind f*ck.🤯 Damien, theoretically, should have been an appalling character, but like Layla I was drawn to him, falling for him, and totally drinking the kool-aid.  That being said, I also should have been angry over Layla falling for all the “red flags” just because he’s good looking, but again I say…move over Layla cause I’m totally drinking that kool-aid!!😜

A killer is on the loose and Layla is the forensic photographer on staff documenting the crimes…his crimes. A man who fascinates Layla, a man who haunts her dreams and follows her in shadows. Taytum and Ford almost grew up as siblings, Ford was over at their home constantly from a young age. But neither really saw the other as such. However, due to the friendship between Ford and Emory, Taytum’s older brother, Ford doesn’t cross the line. There is a lot of yearning and hard longing glances between these two, but both of them know the consequences of crossing the line so they don’t. I wouldn’t necessarily call them friends, but I wouldn’t call them enemies either. It’s somewhere in between…frienemies 😉

Nothing has been the same for Taytum since she was diagnosed with Diabetes. Her entire world shifted as a college student. Eating, exercising, sleeping, literally everything revolves around her sugars and she just wants to be a normal college girl. It’s one of the reasons why she asks Ford for help in dating, plus it takes him out of the equation of his overbearing ways when it comes to getting close to guys. He is also able to play referee when it comes to her brother for the second portion of the favor because her brother has been detrimental to her dating life for years and she’s tired of living like a nun. I enjoyed how these two tried to figure out how to get Taytum into the dating life without being obvious that they had feelings for each other, and also sort of sabotaging it altogether. I also really commend Ford for his dedication to staying on top of Taytum’s life altering disease. Having that support, even though Taytum was reluctant at first, is huge, especially when she had someone who cares.

While I liked a lot of the mounting tension between Ford and Taytum, some of their actions felt a bit juvenile for their portrayed ages and more appropriate for high school, but if I shifted their ages down, the perspective, at least for me, was easier to swallow, but aside from that, I did enjoy their story overall.

Painful Love is a whirlwind of two obsessive, deeply disturbed men who fall for one another. This isn’t a fluffy tale of sunshine and roses, it’s gray meeting darker shades of gray. However, it is a story that highlights love is love in every way. When two people are meant to be together they just fit and Bunky and Whaley are two puzzle pieces that fit no matter how you spin them. It’s crazy, it’s passionate, and at times it’s a little psycho, but that’s love.

From the beginning we have spunky, over-the-top Bunky who absolutely knows what he wants and that is falling for Whaley, who is not only older, but gruffer and would seem opposite, but they have a lot in common. While Whaley does his best to keep Bunky at arms length…at least in the beginning…it is like trying to hold back a tornado.

“His soul screams to mine.” 🫠🥵

God, I adore Bunky. He knows he’s impulsive, sporadic, and obsessive, no one needs to tell him that. He is solid in his convictions. He wants Whaley and deep down he knows Whaley is the only person who could love him for the person he is. It’s so pure, at its core, it’s really hard not to side with Bunky’s obsessive thought processes.

“When I see Whaley. God, he always makes my heart throw up glitter.”

However, Whaley isn’t ready to take on Bunky’s demons along with his own, at least not at first. Bunky is persuasive, or like a fungus that won’t go away 😂…and as Whaley let’s his guard down it’s not long until these two become obsessed with each other. It’s beautiful.

Their obsession makes their love bond like cement with super glue and resin. Making their love so strong that nothing could pull them apart.

“There’s no longer a me without him.”

This book is well written, intersecting plots between the first book and what I imagine will be the next one. I can hardly wait for how that to play out, but as for Whaley and Bunky these two are hotter than the sun and I have a total crush.

Synopsis:

Until Bunky messed it all up.

Ivy Fox promised heat and angst and oh-my-overheated-cheeks and overworked heart agree with her!! Power Play Rivals had both my panties in flames and my heart in knots. What a fantastic ride!

Trent Nichols and Piper Lee begin the story with explosive heat. I’m talking fireworks on the fourth of July type of intensity. They banter, they squabble, they fall into bed, and their chemistry never wains. However, do these two jump into a relationship…heavens no, because neither of them recognize their feelings…at least right away 😉. I mean, who wants that since banter is the best foreplay and then when the moment hits – BAM 💥 like a bull in a china shop, my heart nearly exploded. But until that moment strikes these two battle like it’s life and death. It’s glorious to read, although, at moments also quite angsty.

There are some very cute secondary characters that sort of play cupid, that ironically enough aren’t Lottie, Piper’s best friend who is a matchmaker. Rex, the hockey team owner, and Caleb the young goalie. They both have their inspiring and funny moments which made them quite endearing.

The entire book is great and while it could be read as a standalone, is best read in series order for the best reading enjoyment.

I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the page. The Home Wrecker was as devastating to read as it was heartwarming and hopeful in the best kind of way. Sara Cate has once again wrapped a sensual world into an emotional story it was 💯 chef’s 💋 perfect!

Briar and Caleb Goode have been married for over a decade. From the outside looking in their marriage looks perfect, but somewhere along the way pieces of their perfect life have chipped away leaving fissures that don’t seem to heal. The wounds are getting bigger and neither of them have an answer on how to fix it, until a man from Caleb’s past needs a place to stay.

I can’t tell you how visceral parts of this story hit home. No matter what point of your relationship or marriage you might be at, it’s never perfect all the time.  I physically ached for both Briar and Caleb and the struggle they were going through, especially in their particular circumstance. Sara dug deep and nestled right into the heart of emotions with this book and it was spectacular to feel every part of it.

Now…as for Dean Sheridan he was a friend of the Goode family a long time ago. He was Caleb’s little brother’s best friend until he wasn’t and Dean has never forgiven, nor forgotten the events that led up to losing Isaac. However, when Dean needs a place to stay, when he literally has no where else to go, Caleb, and his beautiful wife, have a room available. Dean is extremely likable in every moment. He’s flirty, charming, dominant, smooth, sexy, and as weird as this may sound, basically an intimacy counselor between Briar and Caleb when the moments call for it. He’s the entire package that seemed built for them…they just didn’t know it and honestly neither did he. Swoon…I swooned hard for this man.

While it’s true that Briar never expected the younger man who came to stay in their empty room to have such an impact on her life, she really didn’t expect Dean to dig so far into her soul (same girl…same). She loves her husband more than anyone, aside from her daughter, but she can’t help deny that there is something about Dean and she likes having him under her skin…in her bed…in her home…  (Girl….I totally rode the lust train with you)

Lastly…Caleb and Briar’s adorable daughter, Abby. She is sweetly rambunctious and totally brought tears to my eyes with her sweet innocence and open hearted love. Dean has no idea what to think of her when he first meets her and it’s fantastic. She quickly wormed her way into my heart, right along with the rest of the characters from this book.

This series has been out of this world fantastic. I completely fell in love with The Anti Hero and still think about that story, but The Home Wrecker topped it. It’s beautiful and contains so much that these brothers who grew up in a house that didn’t teach them about all consuming love, acceptance, forgiveness, and hope learn about it in the most divergent of ways. It’s absolutely glorious.

I love fantasy, it’s a genre I don’t get to read often enough so when I do I love to be swept away by everything that this genre can bring. The magic, the fantastic imagery of a grandiose landscape, a big adventure, and a hero and heroine on a quest that will most likely end in peril. Holly Renee has proven once again that she is brilliant in this genre as she knocked it out of the park with The Veiled Kingdom. This book is rich in detail with scenery, it’s full of magic, ripe with plot that’s filled with turmoil, and it has two characters that are absolutely full to the rim with peril. It made my fantasy reader soul overflow with glee.

From the first moment that Nyra and Dacre meet they have serious chemistry!!! 🥵🔥💯 Like, explosive from the get-go. BUT…they are also kind of sworn enemies. It’s hard to explain without giving away the entire book, but I’ll just say that the tension is thick and the heat between them is major and never once lets off the gas.😏

Nyra is on the run from the palace, while Dacre is the second in command of the Rebels. It would make sense that Nyra should feel safe in the sanctuary of the Rebels if they were both on the same team, but Nyra is holding on to secrets and Dacre senses that she is hiding something from the moment he meets her. While it doesn’t stop the underlying attraction between either of them, no matter how they both try to avoid it, they both also know nothing good can come from it for all of the above reasons. They are caught between passion and a cause.

This book is so good between the plot tension and with who is going to crack first and start ripping off clothes. Whew…I couldn’t stop turning the pages. Then just as everything is culminating……more is coming soon. This is just book one and 🤯 what a cliffy. I can hardly wait to find out what happens next. This series is just getting started and I can hardly wait.

This story takes place in Bardstown and the Thorne family does make a cameo for Kent fans, but the sole focus is on Meadow and Riot. Meadow is the nanny for Riot and like many of Kent’s books, it’s written mostly from the view of Meadow where she has a huge fixation on the older man in her life. Probably like I do on most of her books I went back and forth on liking the MC and wanting to kick him…hence the angst, but when Riot spends time with the Thorns…totally worth it.😂

I loved Niccolò in Ignited. He’s very outgoing and didn’t mince words. So when he meets Bennett for the first time, who isn’t sure what he is yet…as far as orientation…Nic is very forward. Niccolò’s personality is infectious and it’s not to say that Ben is shy, but he’s just – to be honest, has questions about guys and Nic is super sweet and very willing to help answer those questions. Even though I loved Niccolò and Bennett moments, the cameos from the other couples, especially Ander are hilarious. The “Ball club” 😂 Bennett, Ander, Levi, and Liam – footballers who now have boyfriends as Ander coined it…he’s definitely likes making Ben blush when answering Ben’s questions. I loved returning to LSU for this steamy short story.

With great enemies-to-lovers vibes, full of chemistry and spice, Nolan and Hannah make this spicy story worth jumping into. Hannah is forced to move in with her brother and his two roommates for the end of the semester. Nolan overhears a private conversation Hannah has about her last boyfriend and well….I’ll just say that the spice level goes up ten thousand degrees after that phone call. Even better, Sylvis announced at the end that this novella that this is just the first of a brand new hockey world that’s coming soon; Wilder U. From this tiny taste alone, I know I’m thirsty for more. The banter was spot on, the spicy level was intense, and the chemistry vibes between Nolan and Hannah were off the charts, so YES, I want more from Wilder U, please.
